Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was empty after ordering but got busy once I got my food. I ordered the Torta and 2 piece chicken plate with the charro beans and rice. The food was very flavorful. The staff is very friendly. I just wish they added more of the sides on the plate but overall great place.

Amazing food! The chicken was really flavorful, beans were really tasty, Mac salad was ok, not housemade but I'm not mad. Flour tortillas aren't made on property but they were really good. The service was good, the guy who took our order was really friendly. The place is spacious and clean.

Excellent food and customer service. I could smell the deliciousness down the block. They do not disappoint. Excellent...I'll be back with my crew next time.

Date of Visit: 06/25/2025 Location: Anaheim Restaurant: El Pollo Norteño To whom it may concern, I wanted to share some honest feedback following my recent visit to your Anaheim location of El Pollo Norteño, which has long been my second favorite restaurant and one I've supported for years. When I arrived, I noticed the grills were not in use and were being cleaned. There were very few customers inside, and one of the things I've always loved about visiting El Pollo Norteño is the smell of fresh chicken being grilled--an experience that was missing this time. While I considered mentioning the inactive grills, I assumed perhaps the food had just finished cooking. However, on my drive home, I noticed there was no signature aroma of grilled chicken in the car, which was unusual and disappointing. I spent a little over $60.00 on this visit to feed my family of six, and unfortunately, the quality did not match the price. The chicken had to be reheated in the microwave, and the tortillas were very hard--even though I've been told they are delivered fresh daily. The chicken tasted dry, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The salsa also didn't taste the same--it was watery and lacked the usual flavor we enjoy. While I was there, I overheard one of the staff behind the counter mention to a customer--possibly someone she knew--that business had dropped by 80% due to ICE raids. I sympathize with the difficult circumstances. My family has deep roots with El Pollo Norteño. My sister worked at your very first location on Grand Avenue in Santa Ana, and we even have a family connection to your business. But this isn't about that. It's about quality and consistency. As much as I'd like a refund, I'm not asking for one. I simply ask that you do better. This experience did not reflect the warmth, quality, and pride I've always associated with El Pollo Norteño. If I lived closer, I would have returned the food immediately. I'm truly disappointed. Please take this as constructive feedback from someone who genuinely wants to see your restaurant succeed and continue to be a beloved part of the community.

The costumer service is awful They confuse you w/ the prices The prices it doesn't the same when you place an order At the final, they charge more than the his flyer said. The food is really good, but the costumer service is horrible.

The chicken was good I ask for the chicken bowl and they added a lot of wet beans which makes the whole meal soggy.

I usually have enough leftovers to take home and have for lunch the next day. Parking is a bit sparse, but there's residential spots available next door and within walking distance (as well as my favorite romance bookstore, Heartbound Bookshop). All their dishes are made to order, so please have some grace and be patient with their kitchen. As I always say, you can't rush perfection!

The agua de melón was delicious, and the side of beans was excellent. We also ordered a plain quesadilla, and it was surprisingly really good. The menudo itself was just okay--not bad, but nothing special. The reason I'm giving 2 stars isn't because the staff were rude, but they definitely weren't friendly or welcoming. My biggest concern, however, was what I witnessed with the condiments. When you order menudo, they bring a plate with limes, onions, and chili. I watched two employees clear tables, throw away some items, but keep the unused onions and uncut lime wedges from customers' plates and take them back into the kitchen to be served again. Even if I didn't use all of the onions or limes, that doesn't mean I didn't touch them. Reusing food that has already been on a customer's table is unsanitary and unacceptable. After seeing that, it made me wonder whether other items, like leftover chips, might also be reused. Whether or not that's the case, what I witnessed was enough to make me lose confidence in their food handling practices. Unfortunately, I won't be returning

It did have a slightly different twist from what I personally consider traditional, but I absolutely loved it! We ordered tostadas with salsa, shrimp aguachile, chile relleno, and chicken mole. Everything tasted freshly made. The tortillas were incredibly good, the tostadas had amazing flavor, and the salsa was phenomenal with the perfect medium spice level for me since I don't eat very spicy food. It also had a delicious garlic flavor. For drinks, we ordered a michelada that honestly surprised us because it was exactly how we like it, and a Maya-Tai that had a delicious smoky flavor. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect score is because I would have liked the food to be served hotter. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't really hot either. Our server, Justine, wasn't rude at all, but she did come across a little cold and very straight to the point, almost like she didn't really want to be there, and it showed. Completely different from our host, Maddy, who was absolutely lovely. We had great conversation with her and she gave us amazing recommendations!

Review #1,082 Posted on 7.8.26…read more We stopped in here for a late night burrito & quesadilla on Sunday night the 5th after driving up from the Bay prior & getting checked into our room. This spot is located in a small strip mall shortly off the freeway on La Palma Ave in Anaheim. The food was really good, I was impressed with the meat portions in our burritos & quesadilla. There was a ton of meat. Both the red & green salsas were hot but still edible too. The rice & beans were quality as well. Highly recommend hitting this local spot up as they stay open late, and serve quality food.

I asked for their Birria tacos, the lady said this location doesn't have the Birria menu. Which is weird because other Yelpers posting a pic of their menu and it's their Birria menu. But alright. I proceeded to order and asked for their street tacos. She didn't tell me this is a cash only location also. So I went to go pick up/pay and when I go in to pay the man says, "cash only." I offered debit card, tap, Zelle. Nope. Cash only. Sucks they don't tell you over the phone. It's not advertised online either. I don't know what it is about this location. But imma keep my business at the Whittier location where they're friendly, offer their Birria menu, and other ways to pay.

Came in for a little date night on a Saturday evening. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating, always quick to refill drinks or clear empty plates. We started off with some delicious and spicy oysters which were topped with a shrimp! We also had to try the Chori-brussels which are flash fried Brussels sprouts with chorizo, balsamic reduction, and Oaxacan cheese. For drinks we got a Santo Dia, a whiskey based cocktail with watermelon, lime, and fizz served over ice. We also ordered the Spicy margarita which had watermelon habanero, lime, and hibiscus flavors. They were both delicious and refreshing, the spicy marg had a good kick to it. For dinner we got a caesar salad, the ribeye plate, and the Urbana burger. We both loved the dressing on the caesar, it's made in house and it shows. The ribeye was cooked perfectly with a delicious herb butter on top, a really good steak sauce on the side, and thick cut fries. The ribeye wasn't the highest quality but it tasted good, the fries were perfect. My fiancé got the burger which had chorizo, melted queso Oaxaca, and an egg on top. Not gonna lie it was absolutely delish! I want to come back just for the burger. All in all we had a great time and I would definitely come back for some other menu items, especially to try more of their margs and specialty cocktails. Thanks Urbana!
