This is one of my least favorite El Polo Loco's. I just remembered today why I rarely come here anymore, aside from no longer eating meat. I always ask for my chicken on the side in case someone else wants it. Today I forgot to do that. I was grossed out with the first glance of the pink and light colored meat. Barf!! It was often undercooked and rubbery when I ate meat and ordered here years ago. Their prices are also higher than other chains. Don't dare ask for extra salsas and dressing. They are stingy with those as well. Other El Polo Loco's hand them out with no problem. Yep, I won't be returning here for a long time!! read more

This is my 2nd time ordering from this location and they keep forgetting to provide my tortilla and salsa. I paid for these and never seem to get it. What sucks is I ordered delivery so my 3rd party delivery guy con only trust they packed everything because the bag is sealed. If you want to lose your money, then I recommend buying from this place. They literally stole my money again! Ugh! read more

This location is a cut above. I frequent El Pollos and this one never fails with having the necessary ingredients and their cooking is top notch. They are all hard at work pumping out good food. EP Managers in a 25 mile radius need to visit for training there. That will cover my needs. Thanks in advance. I'm mad I can't find my receipt to give them a corporate shout out. Next time. read more

Such a shitty experience. I understand that lines are backup but there is no excuse to give people attitude for no reason. I made an online order to avoid this but obviously there is sides that aren't on there that you guys provide. I show up and provide my name the old man tells me nope it's not under that name. I provide another nope it's a completely different name. I provide my roommates name. Nope just for him to say the first name I provided! Then I asked for cilantro and onions on the side and apparently y'all don't have any??? How if your a major chain restaurant? In it's busy dinner hour??? Then I get home check my bowl and guess what's in my bowl????? Onions and cilantro but I thought you guys were out of it??? Soo shout out to the old man that gave me a piece of shit experience at 7:30 April 19! read more

I don't know why this place has a bad review but this is my personal favorite location. The drive thru does take long. I don't mind waiting if my food is hot and freshly prepared. read more

Went by the drive tru got a meal and asked for green salsas. Looked like I asked for ice cream salsa because they were all frozen. Chicken was dry Paid $21.78 for 8 piece DRY chicken & frozen salsa read more

Rating this place based off poor management. The shift manager was condescending towards a new hire. Poor girl was trying to catch on and trying to process the dine -in orders. The manager sees the long line and tells her to go serve food instead (condescending voice). Some customers, including myself were dumbfounded. That tone and attitude isn't appropriate to represent an establishment like this. This isn't the first time I filed a complaint against management there. I can assure you this is the last time I go there. Management couldn't acknowledge the first time I filed a complaint. That should have been a RED FLAG. But I tried again, and again, poor leadership. For the record, they skimp out on the chicken portion when it comes to burritos and bowls. Shame on me. read more

Never head of any location that charges extra for creamy Cilantro, I was willing to pay extra for it for the large size the manager was very rude and unprofessional I think the cashier was named Juana. I know food costs are high but if a customer is willing to pay for it than it shouldn't be an issue. read more

The store hours reported are wrong. Please fix this. I drove all the way here, hoping to get food for an event counting on them being open at 9 am. I put in the order for curbside, and the lady comes out and says they're not open until 10:00 am. Now I'm gonna be late to my event. I also see other people trying to get in the store thinking they're open. read more

How do I give NEGATIVE STARS. Second time I go there and it's really bad. I thought last time was probably a bad day but I tried again today and I got nasty nachos with no cheese. Second time they say they ran out of salsa and the service is really bad. The employees are super distracted asking me for my card when she had it for 5 minutes in her hand talking to other employees. They are super slow. Someone needs to pay attention to this place. Will look for another place to get chicken. I'm very unsatisfied if I'm taking the time to write this review. read more

You guys charge for the creamy cilantro pfft? Ridiculous Never coming here again that's for sure never heard of them charging for a dressing anything read more

Are you guys understaffed? Thank GOD I wasn't all the way in the drive thru or else I would of been in deep trouble with my job being late. Literally waited for 30 minutes and didn't even make it to the actual drive thru. Also, I had no lunch. read more

I love mi some El Pollo Loco but I never get to order more than two wings at a time and that makes me much sad. I love places that will gladly serve me some "Wing Lovers" :) secret menu item and for this i will deduct one star read more

You guys are so slow. Are you understaffed? Literally waited for 30 minutes with 3 cars in front of me in the drive thru

The person taking orders on the drive thru needs some retraining. Too much talking, doesn't really seemed focused on the job at hand.aybe hire people who care about doing their job?? read more

They say it's open at 9 am and it's 9:45 am and the door is closed . They seen me standing their and didn't even care .

I've been here twice this month and both times I had issues. They had no chicken left both times I went (around 7-8pm) and the first time I decided to just get a salad and they didn't have salad dressing. I don't know what is going on here but I won't be back. I suggest you don't bother wasting time here and go somewhere else for dinner. read more

I would give them No stars if it was possible. This is the second time I have given them a chance. The first time, it took 20 minutes for me to get my meal... Walk INTO the restaurant, placed my order, I wanted breasts, but they were out of it, so I got legs... I waited... and waited and waited and waited... Finally I got my order. Flash forward a month later, My wife wanted EPL so why not, it couldn't be that bad AGAIN, could it? Well, the answer was yes, This time, they TOOK my order for white meat breasts. They have blocked off most of the inside so people are forced to be in a space closer than 6 feet apart. Sure enough, 20 minutes later, when my order still wasn't filled, I asked about it... I was told they were still waiting on my chicken. That was the last time. read more

Had lunch early today the staff is pretty amazing and did an excellent job with customer service. the gentlemen that took my order takes his job seriously and I appreciated his welcoming energy. Food was good and place was clean. Will be coming back to this specific location if I'm in the area. The ALHAMBRA location could learn something. read more

Beware the drive-through takes longer than ordering inside. Not very polite experience and sometimes they forget to give you what you need. read more

You guys were amazing tonight, if I could give you 10 stars I would. I signed up with Pollo rewards and ordered my food and got it delivered by doordash. Thank you. read more

I wish we had the options to put negative stars !!!! I hardly leave Yelp reviews but this time I had to! They are promoting their new "double protein bowls " FALSE ADVERTISEMENT !!!! My bowl barely had chicken ...it was probably like half a scoop !!! Not only that I went over the ingredients and the girl taking my order re assured me even tho I got the fajita bowl I will still have cauliflower rice ...we must have gone over the Ingredients 3 times before I said okay...and guess what!? NO CAULIFLOWER !!! I then called them and spoke to the manager and he said that since I got the fajita it was my fault even tho I explain to him that this is what the cashier told me .he then said to bring it back and he can change it ...mind you the line is crazy long ,so I told him it's fine I will just help them! Honestly if your looking for an actual double protein go to CHIPOTLE they have the new cauliflower to and I paid even less for their bowl including my extra protein and here I paid wayyyyyy more for barely any meat!!!!!! They should be reported for false advertising on their "double protein " Scheme!!! read more

El Pollo Loco - Chicken is super pink and undercooked!! Ew - Fast Food Near Me - Paramount, California

Fix your hours on yelp driving here because it was open. Post your hours of operation where it's visible.

The slowest drive-through I've ever seen. These employees are unmotivated and super slow

Ordered a 14 piece familia dinner, with 3 sides. The guy at drive thru forgot to give me my third side, once I got home, I was short 3 pieces of chicken and the chicken was not fresh. Was very hard, burned and was just nasty. Very disappointed with the service and quality of food here. read more

I ate there a few days ago and ordered the pollo bowl. That afternoon, I started to get sick and I got worse the next day. This has to be the worst food poisoning ever! I never vomit when I get food poisoning but last night, I vomited my pollo bowl. Somebody in that establishment did something to my food and made me sick to my stomach! read more

The hours posted are incorrect. I drove all the way to this location in paramount because this was the only El Pollo Loco open until 11pm. As I got to the location (mind you at 9:45pm), they barricaded both of the entrances. Waste of gas and an inconvenience for a mistake on their part. read more

When you end up with a piece of burnt chicken, don't chop it into your pollo bowls. The entire bowl was bitter because if this, even after removing the burnt chicken (which was more than half), also one of my tacos Al carbon had the burnt chicken; next time just throw it away, besides being really dry it ads bitterness to the item you toss it in. read more

Drive thru always takes too long and moves really slow. Seems like they're never prepared to take in customers at dinner time and just not the same taste as other El Pollo Locos that I've had in other cities read more

Was charged for extra chicken but explained that I wanted a side chicken breast and after the cashier clarified that she understood the food came with extra chicken on top instead of the side piece that was asked for. We even explained not to put the chicken on top since the wrong order was given last time as well. After clarification the cashier charged for a side chicken piece at a discount in order to get the correct order. Very upset read more

Can you say SLOW???? My school is right next door to this place and explain to me why I can drive and get food at Chick-fil-a in CERRITOS faster then here???!!!! That is some serious WTF??? So I go there today.....I am the ONLY car in the drive thru but it takes them literally 5 minutes to ask me over the speaker what I would like to order. Hummmm......then I drive up to the window and wait.....pay.....then wait some more. I see the chick pack up my food, bag it and put it on the ledge next to the window....inside. The guy with the headphones on is sitting in there flirting with one of his co-workers....my food is still sitting there. I wait......and wait.....a part of me just wants to reach in and grab my food....but I don't. I wait as he flirts some more.....finally I am yelling 'EXCUSE ME' through the glass window and he decides to give me my food. I get back to school (which is literally RIGHT NEXT DOOR) and my secretary and coworker thought I had changed my mind and went to get food at Chick-Fil-A because I was gone for so long! Ummmmm.....now slow service is somewhat okay when there are other people there and they are busy but when no one is there???? Uuuuhhhh no! read more
