I Had my son go and buy 12 pc family meal, and was charged extra to substitute wings, I been to this location numerous times , I live close by and I called other Locations and confirmed as long as it was on regular menu they substitute without charge, well Talking to Rosie the manager at that location, she basically said they wrong and she's right, so I told her I'll just reach out to corporate, and she basically screamed on phone she didn't care, I don't know her or ever met her, but she does not have people's skills, or customer service for that...I've reached out to family friends just to let them know, I know not the locations fault but she's managing it so it is what it is. Went to this El Pollo Loco to get some food for dinner, it took 20+ minutes to get our food, but overall the food was amazing.

Servings are usually smaller for lunch, but the price doesn't change if you order later for dinner... Mmmm. The Black Bean Bowl is yummy and filling. The Red Sauce is nice and spicy!!! The Nolana location is always super busy around lunch time, so if you don't like waiting go early or a little later for lunch. On the back of your receipt is an eight minute survey for $1.00 off your next order. I find this a quick easy way to save a buck! I know that I'll be going back so why not. read more

The cheese not delivered. I got up and told them since they did not put cheese, they could at least deliver to my table. I got like 2 teaspoons of cheese in a souffle cup. This is the worst El Pollo we have ever eaten at. We thought El Pollo loco would be a safe bet. We were wrong. We ordered a chicken avocado taco and chicken burrito. It took 15 minutes to prepare our meal. The tortilla for taco was flour and stale tasting. It was not corn. Chicken was dry/overcooked. I got 2 & a half bites of chicken in my taco and husband got mostly condiments in his burrito. The sauces did not taste fresh. We paid $15.58 and with water without soft drink. As you can see, the receipt says no avocado; but clearly there's avocado on my quesadilla. In addition, I requested two small sides of rice. Didn't receive those. Wasn't charged...so whatever. Once home, we discovered the other orders were room temperature at best. I've eaten st other locations and had a good experience. Will not return to this location or recommend it. read more

The food is good, but the customer services is severely lacking. I've been here many times but I'd say more than half the times they get the order wrong. If you order a burrito, you'll get a random one, not what you ordered. Beans are given with lids loosely placed on multiple times for me, just pooring out into the bag. Me and my fiancé were trying to find a good place to eat that would be kind of healthy to a certain point. When she mention this location I have to say it didn't really scream healthy to me but once I was able to take a look at their menu my opinion changed. They have a under 500 calories menu that is pretty good and has some good options. I had the 2 piece combo and the chicken was great! The chicken was very well cooked and great taste. I always hate when I go somewhere and the chicken is not well cooked or kid or red/bloody close to the bone. The chicken breast is dry, very skimpy portions for the price (especially when compared to other nearby roasted chicken restaurants), and beware of anything that says "fajita STYLE" because there are no actual fajitas on these salads despite the pictures suggesting otherwise. The employees are nice enough to point this out. They do have some decent tasting healthy, low calorie options, like the avocado wrap, so perhaps I will return for these. read more

This is one of my favorite places for lunch however I don't know what went wrong. Your customer service has gone down drastically and your staff needs help paying attention to customers while taking our order. It never fails our order is incorrect and when I approach a tall Hispanic woman she is totally unfriendly. Today for example I ordered the side salad and I got beans when I picked up my order at the counter and let her know she tossed half of the beans off and handed me the salad. No apologies no nothing. Upon arrival there was no one to greet us or no cashier. After a couple of minutes standing a cashier finally shows up, again no greeting. We order two combos and the order is messed up, ordered a salad as side I get beans. Went to location on Nolana in McAllen. About 9:30 pm. I realize they close at 10 but they hardly had any chicken. I ordered a half chicken plate and a tostada. For sides I would have ordered macaroni and cheese but they had none. So I ordered mashed potatoes and black beans. Then find out they have no rice for the tostada. And later they said they had no black beans. The Manager came up and completed our order. We loved it! I had a chicken/avocado burrito combo,my husband had whole chicken. We were served promptly and courteously. Food tasted great, was served hot and timely. Chicken was super moist and well seasoned,, much better than their competitors. Store was VERY clean inside and out, as were the bathrooms.
