I order the same thing every time "huevos la mexicana" best mexican omelet i ever had and best rice and refried beans i ever had. Definitely their best meal hands down. However i literally ordered the same thing one week straight and i always order without onions and for some reason they always mess up and put onions having to come back pick up the food they delivered and give me a new order without onions so be extra clear and emphasize on any substitutions you make. read more

This place has by far the most incompetent workers I have ever heard. I called for delivery and the girl on the phone working on the snow day (March 7, 2018 at 5:45) literally tried everything she could to not take my order. She said over 4 times how "the delivery is going to take over an hour" and that "you're 19 minutes away so your order has to be over 20$." All things I didn't care about, I was willing to wait and make a big order. Her attitude is what pissed me off. I asked her on the phone, "do you own this place?" Went there for Dinner after work and the food was great. I had one the steak dishes that included grilled cactus. Everything tasted great and the decor is very nice. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, was that while we were eating a panhandler came in and was walking around asking for money. El patron, there was very low buzz with mexican styled restaurants but with this location and business opening it blows the compensation by a land mark. I finally went to this 'restaurant' after going past it daily. It's a shame I never tasted the food because the silverware was filthy! I asked for a clean set and once again I was given a filthy set. Ordered from them on grub hub they screwed the order up! I Called and the woman called me a liar when I told her items I was missing a taco. As per my previous review not much has changed but as you become more familiar with the setting of the restaurant and become a "regular" the flow of service comes better. The servers are busy to the high volume of customers that come in bursts, if you ask them for anything though, they will give it. It is not overpriced like most Spanish or Mexican cuisine, the portions are heaping, any of the A La Mexicana dishes can easily feed two people, I visit here at least twice a week and I always have food to take home. There's not many places that will dine in, deliver or even serve 24 hours aside from a diner. Plus! You can't beat $3 tacos that are big enough to make two out of. The dining area is extremely large and you will feel comfortable sitting anywhere, all of the food is flavorful, I've truly never had to send a single dish back from El Patron, their only vice is the slight delay on the waitresses attending to you, but as said upon request they will help you. I wouldnt recommend this place at all, unless you want to wait over hour for your food to arrive, their staff are inexperienced nor they have any clue of what customer service is, my most recent visit the "waitress " forgot to put in one of the items we ordered came back after bringing some of the food, (45min later) and said that there wasn't enough portion available to complete the dish, and she also forgot to put in a drink ordered that we never received, but yet they have the nerve to include in the bill gratuity, i dont mind at all to tip a large amount but if we weren't provide with excellent service why should you already included, i really hope the owners of this place take charge and actually read all the negative reviews they have here. And stop robbing people with poor service. TERRIBLE!!! My family and I used to eat here all the time as well as order in . However the service has gotten so bad that I will never go back again after tonight . After waiting almost an hour for our food to arrive to the table the food the waitress brought us was incorrect as well as missing items . She said she would get the food that was missing and change the wrong food . After another 15 minutes goes by another waitress came over to see if everything was okay cause we were looking around we told her what happened only for the original waitress to come back and tell her that they don't even have the ingredients to make the order that we placed over an hour ago ! You mean to tell me it's took over an hour for you to figure out you couldn't make the entree. The food we did receive was half cold only the top layer was hot clearly due to it being placed under a heater . The beans tasted like they had been left out and reheated . I had also ordered a drink for myself , my husband then reminded the waitress about the drink that I ended up NEVER receiving. By the time the check came I could careless . Finally we get the check to see they had automatically included a large tip "service fee" on the check . Why should I have to pay a service fee for horrible service . My experience here was HORRIBLE! Arrived on a saturday night around 11:30 with my husband, and there must have been like 3 other families already dining there. It took the waitress like 5 minutes to acknowledge us, and we finally ordered like another 5 minutes later. Not bad. Then all of sudden, a rush of people came in (assuming from the club next door), and our waitress got busy, but we didn't mind because we had already been served our sodas and had already ordered. Mind you, that there was only TWO waitresses in the whole establishment during that time. Then I heard two separate people complain to the other waitress that they had not even been given the menus and were ready to leave, but then the waitress quickly gave them the menus. Around 12:20 AM, our waitress comes back to our table and apologizes for the long wait. I said, sure, but then she told us that it would take an additional 20 MINUTES because the orders are taken by table??? WHAT? so it's not first come, first served???? I told her that I would not be eating there, and that I was just going to pay for my husband and I's soda, and she said that would she would let the kitchen know that our food was going to be a to-go order.
