The interior is very festive and allows me to appreciate Mexican culture!

Although many people complain about the service, I think that's not too much of a problem compared to the quality of food! I always love getting anything with chorizo there. It's super tasty, and the sizes of their quesadillas are humongous! Definitely good for a good 3 meals. I love the chips and salsas they give. The light green sauce is my favorite. Can't forget the henny horchata and margaritas they offer, plus the prices are unbeatable! Only issue my friends had is the fact they charge a service fee on the bill, but it compensates for the tip.

This hidden gem is spectacular with oversized tortas, and birria mulita. This is the first time I've tried a birria mulita and it is pretty much a stuff meat and cheese pie. The only negative thing about this was that it wasn't flavor enough, however, the sauce definitely makes a difference. The other surprise was the chimichanga burrito that was stuffed but then again lacked flavor. Perhaps it was a off day or i was supposed to drench the sauce over it. Overall, I would come back. Portions are huge and it is overall stuffed .

    Food received at 12:53.

It's been an hour since I've ordered pick up from this place. Generally I love their food, but the wait is just unacceptable. Maybe this is an issue with their partner Whereyoueat.com, but it said it was open by 11:00. Here an hour and a half later, the food isn't even out yet. One of these two need to clean up their act. Will revise if coming here another time improves my opinion.

Great authentic Mexican food. One of our go to takeout spots when we want something filling and not expensive. The tacos are some of my favorite, especially the cecina and carne enchilada. Also, give the enchiladas a try.

It's a shame this place only has 3 stars. I've been here twice only but I had a pleasant experience both times. Not going to explain both experiences and turn this review into an essay but I need Yelpers to know that the portions are big and definitely worth its value. Must get their tacos and/ or burrito! Delicious and absolutely filling! Great place for Mexican food. The restaurant is spacious, clean and not noisy at all. The staff are friendly, too. Did I mention this place is 24 hours?! My first experience was at 5am when my friends and I were craving tacos and just finished a night of games lol. I'll be back when I get the chance to!

The food was okay. My order was incorrect . My Gordita had beans, lettuce and steak. According to the menu on yelp it was supposed to have steak, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. I also asked for sour cream on the side for my quesadilla and I was not provided with it. Normally I double check before leaving an establishment but I had my brother pick up the food.

The Menu. A bit expensive in my opinion.

No snickering. This is largely because of the sweet customer service. A three star review for more…read morelike two star quality. It is not saying much for a city that really lacks in Mexican cuisine. To say I did not give this restaurant a fair shake is like saying I only went to an ice cream shop and only ordered the cone. I went all out there, which is maybe why I received the service I received, or maybe it is because I sat next to what appeared to be my server's children. Whatever the case, I was treated well here. Onto the food. The Sopa Azteca (their tortilla soup) is a nice change from what I had at a previous Mexican restaurant. I would like the portion to be bigger and more meat in it, but I like the Mexican spices and the variety here. It is quite enjoyable. The Queso Fundido should be called a Queso No Divertido. It was awful to eat, with lousy flavor and texture. This is the second time I have struck out with this appetizer. It is safe to say I am done ordering it in this city. Nobody does it right. The Paella is nice, but at its core has the essence of a nice dish. Some parts are full of tremendous flavor, and some parts are dry and bland. I ate this all out of necessity, and also because once I mixed the bland with the good it actually turned into something quite pleasant. The chicken enchiladas I ordered because it would not be fair to come here and pass up something Tex-Mex as an entree. The chicken is inconsistent, well cooked in some spots, dry in others. The salsa verde has a lot of kick here, but the side salad and charro beans nearly ruin the whole thing. At least the Mexican rice is fluffy and has great flavor. Speaking Spanish to the staff helped curry points in the service department. I like family owned businesses. Everybody was busy and on point. So what if the food does not wow, I have given more, for less. Hence why this is a three star review and not a two star review.

For the prices they're charging, that's unacceptable. It's like they're trying to stretch every drop instead of giving you what you paid for. On top of that, the food menu has clearly changed and not for the better. The options are limited now, and some of the best items that used to make this place worth coming to are just gone. What's left is underwhelming and doesn't match the quality they used to have. And now they don't even have happy hour on Fridays anymore? That was one of the main reasons people came through at the end of the week. Taking that away just makes it even less worth it. I even gave them a second chance, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but that just made it worse. The food left me with an upset stomach and running to the bathroom after, which is the last thing you expect when you're going out to eat. It's disappointing because this used to be a solid spot, but now it feels like they're cutting corners across the board. Definitely not the same Sofia's anymore. I won't be back.

SECOND, the food is just as amazing! I was so happy hahah. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a restaurant for more than just their food. We came here for my boyfriend's parent's anniversary and the server's were wonderful and honestly very thoughtful as well! They were very attentive to our table and refilled our waters often. I also say this because when my bf's parents ordered the halibut to split, they had brought out their meal in two individual plates that were beautifully plated, you would think they ordered separately! They also took our group picture! :) We ordered 2 orders of the Basement Snacks: For Two, 2 orders of their raw oysters for appetizers. For my entree I ordered the Shrimp Carbonara Rossa with a side of Asparagus. Everything was so good. Their buffalo wings were perfectly marinated and not too saucy, their ribs were so tender and the meat fell straight off the bone! My carbonara was also delicious. For dessert they even gave an anniversary treat which was so sweet. I ordered a Chocolate Cappuccino which was also great. 11/10! Wonderful and would recommend.
