We stopped on a Sunday for lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, I almost suggested we go back to our car. Maybe no one else notices, but first impression the parking lot and the building is super run down. There is trash all over the parking lot, walk ways, and bird poop all over the lights. The patio which was not open was a mess as well. When we entered, we were greeted fairly quickly, and seated at a booth. We started our meal with hot bean dip to go with the chips. It took a super long for the dip to come out. When the server delivered the bean dip he did apologize for the delay. Upon first inspection of the bean dip, we thought he brought Queso dip, but the beans were swimming just below the surface. It was good, but we were looking more for bean dip, and it seemed as if we got more Queso dip than actually beans. Next came our entrées, and they were also swimming in sauce. I had shrimp in white sauce that tasted awfully familiar to the Queso dip that the beans were swimming in. My husband had shrimp with chipotle sauce. While both were edible, they were nothing exciting. I will compliment that they didn't over cook the shrimp. The shrimp was cooked well in both dishes. Overall our server did a very good job constantly hustling, and making sure everyone was taken care of. It's too bad when the owner comes to work he doesn't think about what people see on the way in. I usually think if it's this dirty out here, what's it look like back in the kitchen. read more

We have made it a tradition to come to El Paso Mexican Grill for birthdays and we are never disappointed. The entire staff is always very cheerful and inviting. I love their fish bowl margaritas! Great size and price. We have been coming here for so long, now instead of the ice cream dish (which is delicious), we get a complimentary shot of tequila- finished with whipped cream smeared across your mouth! They are so fun, we probably won't ever go to any other restaurant for birthdays! I love that they give you chips and salsa and continuously refill, even throughout your meal. read more

Every so often I go here for dinner hoping that they've improved. Unfortunately the food and the service are very inconsistent. Recently I went for dinner and had a steak for fajitas. They were tough and chewy without any seasoning. They were very disappointing. To make it worse the service was very inattentive. Neither my husband nor I could get this restaurant's website to work, and then the employees did not pick up their telephone when we called to place an order for pickup. So my husband drove out to the restaurant to place an order in person. He brought the food back to our hotel room so we could eat it safely during the pandemic. The restaurant had given us plastic forks but no plastic knives, so we struggled with cutting some of the food. The steak nachos were burned and had little cheese. I took one bite out of the crab quesadilla, and I had no appetite for it. The chicken quesadilla tasted good but could have had more filling. My taco salad was OK. My husband said that his chicken burrito was "fine," and he ate his carne asada tacos only because he was hungry. My husband is part Mexican so knows authentic Mexican food, and I also frequently eat Mexican food. We felt disinterested in the food and ended up throwing away a lot of it. I still felt hungry, so I filled up on a bag of Doritos that I had purchased elsewhere! I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately I must rate it 2 stars. read more

El Paso has officially moved from their old shopping plaza locale to this spacious, new building where The Evergreen once stood, and it seems that the food has improved along with the transition. When we walked in, all of the servers were wearing white shirts and black ties. The decor was decidedly south-of-the-border, and on a wintery Friday evening, the place was hopping. I had a fried Beef Chimichanga that was filled abundantly with fresh, fragile, succulent meat, all of it wrapped inside a tortilla that was as crisp as the night air. For dessert I had what may be the very best example of fried ice cream that has ever been placed in front of me. EP apparently uses their own quite excellent tortilla chips as the coating for this ball of frozen dairy product. Topped with a whipped cream that looked to be piped on sans aerosol, chocolate, and some sort of berry puree, I swooned and swayed like Stevie Wonder peforming Songs In The Key Of Life in its entirety in concert. The ice cream was housed inside a most delicate and sugary sopapilla basket that scrumptiously carried the sundae residue into my mouth along with a whisper of cinnamon. Kay's Seafood Chimichanga was equally well-appointed with chunks of grilled shrimp standing out amongst the onions, tomatoes, and peppers. Unfortunately, I'm still bored with their guacamole and their salsa, both of which taste eerily similar to Robinson's Jose Ole. The menu reads exactly the same as well. The service was quicker than Wally West, Jay Garrick, and Barry Allen combined! Pepin has nothing on these gents; good food fast indeed. I also couldn't get over how friendly everyone was to us and our fellow diners. EPMG is certainly becoming a fixture in Beaver Falls and locals are obviously becoming regulars. Watching customers joke with the Spanish-speaking staff was a heartwarming reminder of how immigration can make a positive impact on a region. I wish EPMG a bright future in their current home. P.S. We always love to stop in at El Paso. It's been a great place to eat with the family (kids enjoy it) or with friends. The wait staff has been great and willing to do anything if you ask. We've eaten at both locations (Ohio and Chippewa) and both have been good. I recommend the chicken or shrimp entrees. They're usually a little more tender than the steak. Don't get me wrong, this place is ok, but not healthy at all. When I order a chicken salad, I expect that it is going to be a grilled chicken salad on a bed of rice and mixed with fresh vegetables. Wrong was I. The best comparison I can make to the kind of chicken that is on this salad is that it's like going to the food court at the mall and getting the chicken from the Japanese restaurant that is covered in oil and basically fried. Then, the whole salad is COVERED with shredded cheese. The cheese is no joke, people. There is a ton, and I would suggest asking for lite cheese or none at all if you're trying to diet. The veggies were fresh, but the rice was Lipton-esque. Service was kind and prompt, and if you're looking for a lot of food for a little price, this place is an ok choice. read more
