The breakfast buffet here is outstanding and easily one of the best around. The menudo alone deserves five stars--rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. El Nortenito has an amazing breakfast buffet on weekends that is a must try. They have cooks custom making chilaquiles and other food. They have everything from soups to waffles on the buffet and everything taste homemade. I had pozole and a gringa taco that was loaded with cheese and goodness. you need to take your appetite to this place. The coffee was fresh and ever flowing. New owner, Bernardo, has owned the restaurant since December. EVERYTHING has been upgraded she they have a new menu. Okay tacos, subpar experience As soon as we showed up we could see the trompo cooking, GREAT! We walked up and were confused about where the entance to the restaurant was, so we asked the people cooking the trompo ( in spanish and in english) where the entrance was and were ignored. They looked at us and continued to ignore us. One of the guests responded and told us where to go. Aftert we sat down, we saw the same people that were outside cooking the trompo serving other customers - were never acknowledged and were made to feel awkward The waitress that served us was great, the tacos were okay - would recommend going to Tacos Betos instead. read more

Tucked away in an unlikely shopping center, this Mexican restaurant serves everything fresh to order. Great quesabirria tacos! Comes with 4 and they are stuffed. Also has onions, cilantro, limes and a delicious consume. Before bringing out the food they bring those orange pinwheel chip things, I don't know the name covered in seasoning, maybe tajin? They're good alone or dipped in their green or orange sauce. The two hot sauces on the table are great, gonna see if they'll sell a bottle next time as I believe she said they made it in house. The order of chips and queso wad okay, chips were fresh the cheese was just so-so. I do wish they served chips and salsa as an option as well. Sodas are canned drinks brought out with a cup of ice. Beers are 1.99. Our server brought us a flan to split so we could try it and for most of us not caring for flan we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw they also do a buffet style line thing for brunch on the weekends. Will be back to try that. read more

I asked the server if horchata was made naturally and it was extremely sweet. It was clearly made out of horchata powder. The food was terrible, we ordered their famous "tortas" and it had too much mayo. The "carnitas" tasted like canned tuna. This was the worst restaurant I have ever tried.
