Waitress was kind, manager was offended when I pointed out that I can't find a chili relleno on the internet that doesn't have Pablano peppers. His part of Mexico doesn't use Pablo peppers, so if you want a chili relleno WITH PABLANO peppers, you can order a Chili Pablano. He did offer to replace it with a Chili Pablano, but he encouraged me to try it. Went with a group of 8 after a float trip, seemed nice but must say I've never felt ignored, neglected, and basically that they did not want to serve my wife and I. Everyone at our table got their food but us. Waiter failed to recognize this. We asked if we were getting ours, he first said he would check, then came back to ask what we ordered, and 20 minutes later, still no food. Waiter came back to ask how things were and added "except for the 2 that didn't get their food". He apologized but it seemed very insincere. I had a quesadilla. The flavor was good, but it was not hot. Everything on the plate was warm, at best. The service was courteous, but not too attentive. All the servers seemed to be overwhelmed, and they didn't seem to be too busy. My partner had the Caldo de Pollo. It was much hotter than the quesadilla, but it was quite salty. Sadly, ordered food and a margarita pitcher several weeks ago, but by the time it arrived, I was in an ambulance. The waitress said we would need to ask management next time we come back for a comp margarita. The manager came over, was VERY unprofessional but tried to twist it on me saying I was being disrespectful when he was the one that interrupted me. He wanted to make sure it was known he was the manager and he couldn't/wouldn't comp nothing. I could accept that he couldn't/wouldn't comp, but the rudeness of interrupting me, and when I asked could I finish talking, he then said he'll need for me to leave if I cause a scene. People learn from the people above them, thankfully our waiter, Sean was excellent with a great personality. go to him!!! I had a coupon in my Entertainment book for this restaurant and we were going on a cave tour in the area so thought we would give it a try. We got there around 11am on a Saturday and we were the only customers there-so we got amazing service! Our server was really attentive and we got the lunch fajitas and they were really good and fast. By the time we left around 12 pm it had gotten a lot busier but it still wasn't' too bad. It looked like everything coming out of the kitchen was fresh and good and we were really satisfied (especially for half off with the coupon). So good job El Nopal! read more

Our service was horrible. We had to wait over half an hour just to get our food ordered. We had to wait another hour just to get our food. Our waitress was snobby and barely came to our table. Once we got our food it was cold and dry. It also looked like someone had vomited on our food. Once we left because our food was poorly made the staff was very rude. Our waitress was yelling at us. Their dining room was open but people were seated quite far apart so it appears they are doing the right thing with social distancing. I arrived to the facility, my family was already seated. Through our time at the restaurant My husband ordered 2 margaritas, my brother ordered 2 margaritas, my mother in law ordered a margarita, and my husband ordered one for me. This totaled us at 6 margaritas. My mother in law was charged 1, my brother 2, and my ticket had 4 charges for margaritas. This totaled our table for 7 margaritas when we in fact only had 6 totaled after asking the rest of people in my party if they had the proper amount on their ticket they indicated they did. After asking my family my husband and I asked our waiter about the extra charge. He stated he brought me at the end of the table a strawberry and I stated no sir I had a lime. we walked over to the table their were 5 margarita glasses on the table upon bringing my brother his second margarita he removed his first glass. Upon speaking with the waiter at the table and pointing out the glasses he stated "I will take it off your ticket and just fu**ing pay for it" walked over removed it from our ticket handed my husband the ticket said here is your ticket and took off in a huff. Upon checking out the manager stated so what happened I started to speak and the manager stated no I want you to tell me sir and gestured to my husband My husband stated he was charged for an extra margarita. The manager replied I will be reviewing my cameras and if you did in fact get a 4th margarita I will be charging you. I stated okay please go review your footage we will wait. the manager stated I am unable to do that here (at this point he was very ignorant with his attitude toward me) so my attitude became very unpleasant I was told I was yelling I was not in fact yelling. I asked how he would charge me and he stated you can leave your name and phone number and I will call. My husband stated he was not comfortable with him just charging the card and he stated he was not able to do that without the card on hand. At this point anytime I tried to speak (saying if we really got it I would pay and just wanted to account bc I only recall the 3) I was told to stop talking upon asking to speak with the manager he stated he was the owner and that their was no one else for me to speak to became very aggressive and told me to stop talking or he was calling security. At this point the waiter walked up and apologized stating he had just had a bad day and may have made a mistake I told him if I had 4 I dont mind paying for them I just don't recall getting that many he continued to cut me off while speaking. At this point I was being disrespected not only by the waiter but majorly by the owner. It was inappropriate and unprofessional and I have since accounted another time and hold true that my husband and I in fact only had 3 margaritas. I have ate at this restaurant my entire life. I would eat here at least 1-2+ times a month in my adult life despite having other options. I will NOT be returning here and management should review with their waiter/waitresses proper etiquette when reviewing tickets with customers when asked. read more

Went with wife on Cinc de Mayo, not crowded so thought was odd. Free t shirt if you spend $25. Bill came to $17 so ordered two delux burritos to go for $10. Menu said one chicken and one beef. I asked (Hispanic) waitress if I could get two beef burritos instead of one each to which she replied yes, no problem. Two days later, was going to eat them for dinner and found first one was chicken! Thought screw it and ate it any way. Cut into second one and found it was chicken, too! Learn to speak English, never going back. One small slice of tomato and maybe 10 pieces shredded lettuce. Value for money sucks, food is just ok. Easily the best place to eat in Sullivan. Service is prompt and friendly. Salsa is chunkier than most Mexican restaurants. I personally recommend the queso dip, shrimp soup, fish tacos, and/or burrito California (which is smothered in cheese). Smoking section is isolated from the rest of the building - the waiter was happy to accommodate my cigarette allergy and sat us far away where I couldn't smell it at all. read more

We arrived at this restaurant around 5:40pm. They were busy so we did not have a problem with waiting approximately a half hour to order. After ordering our waitress made no effort to return to our table until we literally flagged her down for more drinks. We only got more chips and salsa from other employees. At one point when she did bring the refills she told us the food would only be a few more minutes. After approximately another 25 minutes the did finally bring our food. The rice was cold and very dried out and one of the chicken dishes looked like slop so we decided at this point to just pay for our drinks and leave. The waitress started arguing with us that we couldn't leave because our food was coming. We explained that it was cold and we would not wait for it to be corrected. She followed us to the register yelling in Spanish about the situation. When we explained to the young man at the register we were told he didn't want to hear it. We then said that was what Yelp was for then and he said something to the effect of "I don't care, like it will make any difference". They were extremely rude and less than understanding our frustration of seeing people get seated and served their food while we just sat there.
