The service, specifically from the bartender, was extremely unwelcoming and rude. I initially came in for takeout, but decided to sit down at a table to look over the menu. Instead of being greeted or assisted, I was met with an unfriendly attitude and uncomfortable stares. When my partner asked for a large glass of water while we decided on our order, he was given a very small glass, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. It's unfortunate because the food itself isn't bad, but the customer service completely takes away from the experience. The restaurant was nearly empty, which honestly reflects the level of service we received. Based on multiple visits with the same issue, I would not recommend this place. A more welcoming and customer-focused staff would make a huge difference. read more

Got robbed for a burrito and taco dinner. When I got the bill. I almost choked off my virgin margarita. This place got more fees than Grub hub. They charge a gratuity of 15% for 1-4 people. For 5 or more people a 18% gratuity. I can understand a gratuity on a group but not just 1-2 people. Then charged another 3% for using a card payment. Wait, it gets better. Chips and meat were salty for nachos supreme, cheese did not taste authentic at all. Steak torta was a little more redeeming, although the meat was a little salty the overall dishes was not bad. I do not know what happened. I was here a few years ago, and the prices were reasonable. (before COVID) The price was not cheap. $15 for each lunch platter and a $5 soft drink plus a surcharge for something. The Bill was not itemized. The ambiance is nice, food presentation good, service was fine, but I would not recommend this very overpriced place when you can get the same thing in the area for much less. I have been coming to this taco place for years I gave them a break for a while because of bad service and just being treated bad by one of the workers 3 years ago. But tonight was horrible, another incident with a cashier that rang me up call; who look like she was confused from the beginning of the whole transaction because I use my iPhone to pay for my food. I finally got my order and she tried to give me my bag through two other customers and a glass that covering the registers, so I asked her to bring my bag around the counter if she could and she slung my bag to me, she threw it to me. I still didn't say anything. I checked my bag for the correct order. And then I asked her if she could give me an extra sauce because they only gave me two sauces with five tacos. I would pay for more if she asked. The young lady walked away and didn't say anything, so I didn't know if she was going to get more sauces or not.. so I came to the counter I said excuse me may I please have some extra sauces, now she yells and say "I'm going to give it to you!" So I yelled back and said "well you didn't say anything and you threw my bag to me and I didn't say anything then". So instead of apologizing she said something about Covid. And I said instead of being argumentative you can just apologize. She was still argumentative in front of The owner who knows me and knows that I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars in his establishment. He said NOTHING, instead he let another worker come (male)to me and asked me to stop being argumentative instead of asking her to apologize to me the customer. I know the customers are not always right, but she was extremely wrong. I will never ever go back to this place and I wish that everyone else would stop going to this place because they treat us horribly and still continue to take The communities money. I feel extremely disrespected this situation could've escalated all because they don't know how to tell their employee to apologize for horrible customer service in front of management being present that is not OK... Best Mexican I've ever had? No, but better than average. steak tacos, guac, torta and taco salad are my go-to dishes. More often than not the food here really his the spot. I will admit though that there are consistency issues. It's either all on point or it's all lacking. My husband and I even joke about it, "uh oh, greasy guy must be working tonight" on the off nights the tortillas are dry and brittle, the steak is a little chewy and greasy, and the guac is barely chopped let alone mashed. This place has been getting worse and worse over the years. The food last time I went was OK, though I'm not a picky eater by any means. My issue is with prices and portions. For instance they have some deal where it was like buy 3 tacos, get one free. The tacos are like $2 each, maybe more. I can't remember. But I don't know if these guys are out of the loop, but most bars around the area have $.75-$1 tacos, but I should be happy that I get 1 free taco after spending $7? Tacos aside last time I ate there I ordered fajitas. I must have ordered off the kiddie menu because for $15 I barely got anything. I do recall the food being a little bit better. This is my second choice for Mexican restaurants in the area. Don Pedro's is number one, this was closer to where I was coming from, so...Ok, so they only had one waitress, and I think she was helping the people at the carry out counter too. There was a guy sitting at the first table eating soup when we walked in. He looked up long enough to tell us, "sit where u want" with a mouth full of soup. This was only after my mother said aloud, who is gonna seat us?...because there was no one at the front to greet us. After we got our menus, we sat for a good while before our order was taken. At one point my mom told me to close my menu. We think this trick will make the waiter come faster. NOPE! The waitress was friendly, so much so that she spent alot of time talking to customers at at least two other tables. It was obvious she knew them...expected in a neighborhood place. However, we don't know you, but maybe take our order? Refill our drinks? Ask if we need anything? The service sucked, but my enchilada and my tostada were delicious. The rice was bland, beans just ok and the taco nothing to talk about. The salsa for the chips personally made me want to puke...way too thick, more like ketchup. On Saturday night I went to el mariachi. I ordered a taco dinner. The place was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. They had 2 tv's on playing basketball games which was very nice. The waitress was very nice and friendly . She made sure I had everything I needed while I was fhere. Once I got my good I was very pleased. My meal came with Mexican rice and beans. It was perfectly cooked and very tasty. It was one of my best dining experiances . The hours are very conveniant. They are open until 10 o'clock. I will be returning for zure. read more

Food OK. Horrible sticky tablecloths. BE AWARE, they give you a menu that shows one price for lunch and same items different prices much higher for dinner after 3. That's OK but it's not obvious on the menu at all because they are in separate parts of the menu. Should be on the same place, lunch 7.99, dinner 10.99. If you don't look at the whole menu, from front to back, you will NOT notice this. For example, I ordered from the right side of the menu and that was lunch but did not know. It states lunch till 3 BUT IT SHOULD THEN SAY THE DINNER PRICE RIGHT THERE. Sooooooooooo tricky! I will never return for this reason only. They justify by just barely saying it's dinner.
