Another Farm to Table Michelin Star in Oaxaca By Chef Alejandro Ruiz…read more stunning rooftop terrace with views of the Santo Domingo church, and a menu that blends traditional Oaxacan flavors with international touches, often featuring local ingredients like insects and unique moles. Watch out with the Mole is pretty strong!!

Holy mole! What unique flavors, hospitable service and a beautiful location! Dined here last night…read moreand had a variety of dishes that blew me away with their combination of unusual ingredients (Worms, ants, grasshoppers and larvae anyone?), flavor profiles and exquisitely rendered modern techniques applied to traditional dishes. The insect tostada had some of the most appealing flavors in an unusual package, it's an absolute must order for any adventurous eater. My pork chops was fatty and fork tender, with a flavor more like veal than pig. Kinda the Platonic ideal of a chop, I'll be chasing this dragon for a while methinks. Cocktails were superb, an amazing meal indeed!

She did a fantastic job remembering what was in every dish and provided superb service throughout the night. The chef here is a freaking wizard. His restaurant is Michelin recognized but I cannot understand how he didn't get a star for this...

Reservation confirmed for 1:00 PM, but the restaurant only opens at 1:30 PM--no seating until then…read more We were also only told upon arrival that they accept cash only, no credit cards, which is unacceptable for a tasting menu restaurant, especially one that's Michelin-recommended. Basic details like hours and payment methods should be clearly communicated and aligned with their reservation system. We ended up leaving.
