Fajita trio. That is steam coming off the food.

Haven't eaten here in a while. Still good. I think we got the same thing a year ago. And they play music now.

Enchiladas!

Stopped here for the first time today while on a road trip. The food was ok - the salsa and chips are average as were the beef enchiladas and sides. What set this place at four stars for me was that the service was excellent and friendly. Thank you, small-town Texas. The prices, too, were extremely reasonable on the lunch specials. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again but I wouldn't be mad if I did.

Authentic and delicious! A wonderful place to come into town for. The chips are crispy & thin and the just-made-salsa; a perfect start. I dined on the beef burrito and chicken chimichanga; part of their many choices for the combo meal. Both were fresh and tasty with tender meat inside and topped with delicious, homemade sauces. My friends, who I accompanied (Biil & Janet), are "Regulars" here and it's easy to see why! In a town replete with a pretty good number of Mexican restaurants, this is the one to go to! Great food and great service too. They're military-friendly too...thanks and Semper Fi! El Jardin...thanks for making my visit to the exciting, yet peaceful town of Hamilton, TX even more memorable!

Great service! Salsa was good, not the best...but still good. My dinner was fantastic-shrimp diablo. I'd definitely go again!

Great local place. Food is fresh and good and the staff is friendly and fast. The salsa is fresh and the fish tacos are my favorite.

After the lunch rush there were only two occupied tables so I was seated immediately. The server led me to my seat, handed me a menu, and asked me what I wanted to drink. I chose water with lemon which was quickly brought along with chips and salsa. The salsa was flavorful and not too spicy. I ordered TexMex Enchiladas from the lunch section of the menu. My food was brought to the table surprisingly fast! The beans and enchiladas were hot. The rice was a little on the room temperature side but still warm enough not to complain. I finished my food pretty quickly and lingered a bit munching on chips and salsa. No complaints from the staff. I asked if they happened to have churros and they do! The server said that they come four churros to an order so I asked for an order for dessert. The churros took about 7 minutes or so to cook. They were served extremely hot since they just came out of the fryer. They were served on a plate arranged like a hashtag with five dollops of whipped cream. The plate was sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and drizzled with honey. Each churro was filled with a cream custard. They were very tasty! Total came to $22 with tip. Not too bad these days!

Flavored or regular. Woo hoo!!! The first time we went I got the brisket tacos. The flavor was great and the meat was tender. The second time we went we got the chicken rice dip. Wow who would have ever thought to put Mexican rice topped with queso and fajita chicken meat. It was delish!!!! They served it with tortillas and chips. I loved it. I also tried the new fajita nachos. It was absolutely amazing as well. We also got the fajitas for two the last time and it was so much meat! The meat had great flavor. It was so much food. Our only complaint was that it literally came with 4 small tortillas and when we asked for a couple more they were going to charge us. There was no way even if we filled the tortillas to the top that 4 would be plenty. It's a pretty small space, but every time we have been there we didn't have to wait. That isn't saying that there wasn't a bunch of people, I am simply saying we picked good times to go. Ha ha The wait staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter was good but his English was not so good. But that's fine. He tried really hard. I was a little disappointed in the food. I got Supreme Enchiladas and my wife cheese enchiladas. It was pretty good but not the best I've ever had. It just didn't seem all that spicy. Hard to put my finger on it. Coming from South Texas we are used to spicy Tex-Mex. They do give you large portions.

This is the best Mexican food I've had since I got out 10 years ago. Great Enchilada sauce and my wife loved the Verde Chicken Enchiladas. The place was awesome. What a great setting next to a creek and tons of statues. I should have taken more pictures. The staff was great. Lemonade and sweet tea was great and the whole lunch was only 45 bucks with the tip. No Churro's but the do have flan. I was so full after lunch but next time I might get that first.

I decided to follow the exact same footsteps as they did in the Episode that Lampasas, TX was featured. I found myself at this charming, beautiful family owned restaurant. What an amazing find. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area that reminds you of the outdoor areas of resorts in Mexico. The food is fresh, light, great value and absolutely Delicious! The service from the time I walked in to the time I left was top notch. Everyone was very friendly and I love how when a local came in, they were welcomed as family and if you were new to their establishment, they took the time to greet, welcome you, talk about their menu and gave you suggestions. I had a Mango Winerita (they can only serve beer and wine since they're close to a school and a church) which was super refreshing. The usual chips and salsa came to the table. The salsa had a nice flavor and just the right amount of heat... That your taste buds response to but than the heat goes away. The Queso was liquid gold... Smooth and cheesy... Perfect consistency that coats your chips but doesn't drip all over the place. I was treated to a different salsa that isn't normally brought to the table unless you asked for it. Woww!! Chunky with a nice roundness of smokey flavor, freshness and again the perfect touch of heat. The Jalapeno Fried Chips are beyond words... Thinly sliced, fried golden perfection with a Ranch Dipping Sauce to accommodate them. I couldn't stop eating them! So addictive. Than my main course... The Mexican Steak plate. Thinly sliced perfectly tender cooked meat with onions, peppers and tomatoes tossed all together. Rice and beans rounded off the plate perfectly. Everything was cooked right, everything was fresh and surprising light. The portions are generous and the prices are extremely reasonable. It was a perfect way to end my Day Trip in Lampasas. I look forward to going there again and exploring more of their menu. If you are from that area and have never been... Go support your local businesses! If you are driving through and on your way to Austin, stop there to fill your tummy... You will not be disappointed. Last but not least... It is an all CASH only restaurant. They do have an ATM inside. This restaurant is definitely worth another road trip!
