    My camarones estilo Costa Azul
    Val G.

I used to go to the "other" Jalisco on Valley & Turnbull years ago but I had not been to this location. My dad had been in a mood for cocido (a Mexican type of soup with beef). We decided to try this location and I was hoping it had the two best features the other location had: great prices and tasty food. It does! You know my dad had his cocido and I had the Camerones estilo Costa Azul which is bacon wrapped shrimp. At $9, this plate would be $12-$15 at any of the normal restaurants we normally go to. The food was delicious and the shrimp were big. This restaurant is a no frills restaurant. Don't bring someone here on your first date! But the service is good and the value is phenomenal. None of that matters if the food is not good but you won't have that problem here. They have a Juke box that only seems to play Vicente Fernandez but that's not all bad.

Idk about the food at this restaurant but the food truck needs help they need to use better quality meat it almost looks like carne molida de puerco or chicken. Who knows...The onions taste horrible they either the have them sitting in the heat or something but that was the worst I ever had. they replace 3 items cuz they swear everything is fresh made, and she said there's has to been a mistake...I said okay we will try again. but honestly the meat is probably the cheapest meat with didn't get onions the second time, it is not carne asada though it taste like cooked beef or some sort of beef it was so salty, Very disappointing. I did give them 2 stars for good rice and beans. Customer service was decent. She really tried to be nice. Going back the food...The salsa tasted water down, it taste like tomatillos with water. I think I'll leave it at that. And I know good food and good cooking. I cook a lot at home so when I eat out I want to be a treat not a disappointment. Here's pic of the "carne asada" nachos.

Bomb carnitas tacos at the 24-hour truck. The lengua tacos are pretty delicious as well. Four tacos and a drink should do you right. If not, you can always order more...they're only a buck each friend. Vamanos wey...

Right when we got to SoCal from SF, my friend was adamant that we stop by this food truck! The line was pretty long and it took a bit of time to get the food, but the tortillas are fresh and you see them making it right there! $1 tacos! I only tried the pollo, but it was so goooood! Don't forget to add the toppings that are out there. Especially the avocado sauce and onions!! Cash only!

If you're thinking of hosting your own event please consider this wonderful restaurant! They made our wedding a night to remember and made sure to have enough food for all our family and friends! Oscar was 100% dedicated to ensure our wedding was perfect and I thank him and his restaurant who went out of their way to make our wedding a memorable one!

I have always had a good meal at this joint for the many years I have visited. However, tonight's meal of chicharrones in salsa verde was probably the worst version of that dish I've had. First, the chicharrones were semi-crunchy in the salsa. My experience with this dish is that the chicharrones should be cooked until soft and gushy. But semi-crunchy? It's bad enough that the chicharrones look like the kind that come out of a bag. Plus the salsa verde was a bit bland but I would have overlooked that had the chicharrones been cooked properly! What kind of lazy cooking is that? I try not to be too hard on hole-in-the-wall type of joints but this really perplexed me. I told the waitress/cashier chick about it and all I got was a lethargic "Oh Okay..." In that case, " oh okay" I guess I won't be back.

9 condiments Pinto beans, onions, grilled chilis, 2 different green chili, red chili, radishes, lemons, & sliced jalapeños.

Everything they make is delicious! I've had the tortas, ceviche, quesadillas de maíz, flautas and agua chile.

They specialize in elevated coffee and ceremonial-grade matcha with fun, unexpected twists Yahoo Local I tried: * Vietnamese coffee with cold foam smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced with that creamy top * Cold brew super refreshing and not overly bitter * Matcha sour honestly one of the most unique matcha drinks I've had... slightly tangy, refreshing, and different in the best way Everything tasted thoughtfully crafted, and you can tell they put a lot of care into their menu. The vibe is chill, service is friendly, and it's the perfect spot when you want something beyond your typical coffee order. They're also expanding and opening a second location in Anaheim soon, so keep them on your radar! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the SGV

I have been a frequent Cafe FC customer over the last few months, and I can undoubtedly say that this business is very consistent with its product delivery and quality when it comes to coffee drinks. Not only do they serve great coffee, but they also offer alternatives like tea and kombucha beverages. I often come here to catch FC Barcelona games while drinking their signature coffee drink (Cafe Signature on the menu). Other drinks I've tried include their famous Oaxacan Mocha and cortados. I highly recommend the Oaxacan Mocha, I spoke with the business owner, and he mentioned they make all the Oaxacan mocha in-house. Their Cafe FC Signature drink comes with raw milk; however, you can ask for alternative milk if that's not your thing. I've tried both options and was very happy with each. I often choose alternative milk since it's $1 less. The place is always busy over the weekends and full of great vibes. All employees are very welcoming. If you've read up to this point of the review, thank you. Now go and try Cafe FC out for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

We arrived during an odd time of day and so there was plenty of parking for us. The interior is cozy with lots of booths and the space offers a selection of board games to play while you waited. We discovered a new board game while we were waiting too which was a plus. Our food did not take long to come out either. Tip: please respect the board games. Many of the games had ripped instructions or the box was falling apart which is just so sad. Thankfully it looked like most still had all pieces to be playable.

Ambiance alone inside is reminiscent of hanging out at boba shops growing up in the SGV: bright interior, booths and board games, Pokemon and Shrek playing on the TV such a nice vibe to chill with some friends and chat. Most shops nowadays are grab and go so this felt very nostalgic for me. Now for the real hitters: I still am unable to understand how they can serve this food at this price. Beef Wang (16.48) is one of their signature dishes. It sounds really simple on paper, stir fried meat, mushroom, and egg. That's it. I am still wondering how they were able to get such a flavorful bowl from a simple dish and on a perfectly cooked bed of way too much rice so you can enjoy leftovers at home. Super Sea Nachos (35): Our party of 5 ordered our own bowls and shared this thinning it was going to be a simple appetizer. The avocado alone we joked shoulda been 35 . An assembly of tuna, shrimp, imitation crab, with wonton nachos was the perfect fresh accompaniment with the rice bowl. They do not skimp at all on the nachos or seafood and no doubt I'd share another tray with friends another day. They are not the most extravagant dishes, but honestly the quality, comfort, ambience, and value makes this one of my favorite sit down experiences recently.
