Tacos Mi Raza is a small place with a large menu they're located inside "Big Saver" https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tacos-mi-raza-la-puente?select=37aHRpqIRDd4zSwgw9xuKg Service was friendly, food seems to be prepared off a flat top grill, from the looks of my tacos I can only assume the meats are precooked and held, then tossed on the flat top to re-heat, a bit overcooked and dry. They have a nice-looking menu but based off these tacos I don't think I'd return, Mi Raza, you let me down! Quesataco de Carne Asada - This was presented to me in a small Styrofoam container exactly as you see it https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tacos-mi-raza-la-puente?select=eZB3Gcvst6CxEo4WqxsneA I'm 100% Flavor over Visual but come on Amigo a little effort here. My next thought was am I at Jack in the Box? What's up with the lettuce and tomatoes? Mi Raza this is not looking good. Another surprise was to see a flour tortilla when I was not given an option, the quesataco lacked cheese, https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tacos-mi-raza-la-puente?select=KtdeSlaljlN6J5T_VQ8iZw while the carne asada actually had good flavor, it was a bit on the dry and hard side. 1-Star Tacos https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tacos-mi-raza-la-puente?select=7153ViYbrUJ3y0aoraRGow Al Pastor https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tacos-mi-raza-la-puente?select=10qmSjvsnXdEkqKOQCoqsw No Trompo here, cooked on a flat top and not well marinated, I would NOT consider this Al Pastor but it did have passable flavor. 3-Stars Carnitas https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tacos-mi-raza-la-puente?select=3gom5F3eaDAE3nbNbAvS6w Flavor was good but this was about one step from being pork jerky. 2-Stars The ONLY positive note was the Salsa Roja was very good and saved these tacos from the trash can!

Every time I shop at Food saver, I see this little eatery out of the corner of my eyes, but never thought once about eating here. So the other day I see this place on Yelp, and thought it looked interesting. So today we're giving it a try. Whenever I go to a new Mexican restaurant, I always order the Huevos rancheros, because I have my favorite restaurant for this dish, and I can use this particular dish to compare how good.....or how bad the new restaurant is. It give me an ideal on what to expect from the cook, and just the restaurant in general. Our huevos rancheros, looked pretty good, and better yet, tasted pretty good. The meal was a little on the small size, so if they could just add a little more rice and beans, or maybe a little salad, the plate would look a lot more bigger, and make you feel better in that your getting your money's worth. Besides the great taste, what took this dish to the next level, was the homemade corn tortillas, they were awesome. Thicker than store bought tortillas, great crispy to chewy ratio, this made this meal taste like a really good home cooked meal, made by someone who knows how to cook. I first thought that this place is was just a small little taco stand, but when you really take a good look, it's actually has a decent size kitchen. Front counter with almost a dozen stools to sit at, and a small dinning area in the corner with three tables. Fairly large menu, with a good amount of dishes to choose from. The Owner / cook was really nice and friendly, very attentive and helpful. I can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu. 4 stars for this hidden gem.

Great service and delicious food would definitely recommend to others! It's inside the market.

Located at the entrance inside the Big Saver market is a one stop taco shop the locals like to hang out at and shoot the breeze with old Poncho the fry cook. Besides the tacos I think their flautas and sopes are pretty decent.Flautas are rolled up deep fried corn tortillas with your choice meat,so this is basically a taquito with chopped lettuce, cojeta cheese and a swirl of crema on top.The sope is a thick cut corn tortilla with a spread of refried beans on the bottom and your choice of meat in the middle topped with lettuce, cojeta cheese and crema. Now I say both of these are decent due to the fact that they are very stingy with the cheese and crema, and those two components actually help complete the two items.I don't like it when half way through the meal you are wanting more of something that's already gone. I would ask for more but I don't want to pay up for something extra that should be included on the side but we can't always have it all.Decent service with barstools to sit on.And that's my take,Peace

I love it, specially the atmosphere, it's a sit in quiet restaurant which is a lil unusual, normally there's live loud music at these restaurants which is okay, but at times we just wanna sit in and enjoy a game on tv. Which this place brings. The food is amazing!!! The service is great, it's a must try restaurant if you want to try real Mariscos estilo Nayarit. Me Rete-encantó!

We ordered the American breakfast, which is supposed to come with: eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. Instead we got eggs, bacon, potatoes, beans and a pancake that was a mix between a cookie and dry corn bread. The orange juice is freshly squeezed with fresh SEEDS included. The over easy eggs were swimming in oil as well as the potatoes. Everything was just oily. They advertise their daily agua frescas on a hand written menu but when we ask for horchata they said "not today". Should've gone to the burger joint down the block instead. Waste of time and money. I'm giving it 2 stars because of good coffee and friendly servers.

It's the type of place that I would be stoked finding it, if I was on a road trip driving from California through Texas (and through New Mexico). It just has that certain quality of authenticity or how you would imagine a Mexican spot like you see in the movies or something. I came in for a late lunch so I was the only one in the restaurant so the service was pretty quick. The menu is full of those combination classics that you would see at certain Mexican restaurants. I ended up ordering the three tacos dorados combo. I thought the food was great. Because it wasn't busy at the time parking was easy to find on the street. I parked right out front.
