Amazing food. I loved my chicken tinga taco. I also ordered a chicken and beef burrito and they were good. I didn't have the chance to dine inside, I took a peak from the outside and it didn't have a modern or upgraded aesthetic, but hey this place is AFFORDABLE WITH DELICIOUS FOOD. I have gone to this place 2 times so far within a month and am absolutely blown away on how good and authentic the food is. They have a nice to-go window which is very convenient because the inside is kind of small. I have the say the portion size is very generous, filling and yet it still wants you to keep eating. I've had the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros alongside with tacos and coming from LA I have to say this place is legit. Service was great by the waitstaff and they're pretty quick. Chorizo taco - a little less spicy then what I'd expect from a chorizo but there's a little kick. El Huarache Veloz is the REAL deal. If you are looking for AUTHENTIC Mexican food you have found it! We were immediately greeted with a smile and told to sit where we'd wish. There is a large variety of dishes to choose from and I struggled to pick a dish. I ended up ordering the 3 taco plate with rice and beans but I asked for all beans and my husband ordered a Guisado and was given the option of meat and either red or green sauce. I chose carnitas and cabeza for my tacos and my husband ordered the pork chops with the red sauce. My husband's dish was like his abuelita had cooked it for him and my tacos were perfectly seasoned and the rice and beans were on point. The restaurant is small and simply decorated but the food is a colorful explosion of flavors. Huarache Veloz will be our to go spot every time we visit St. Petersburg. read more

Easily the greatest restaurant in Pinellas Park. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The service is always fast, kind, and accurate. The food is always fresh and incredibly well portioned. Don't be surprised if you're the only one there who doesn't speak Spanish; I think that only speaks to the authenticity and the staff will usually have a bilingual employee to help you out. Great authentic Mexican restaurant. The same cute couple is working the front every time I have visited. The burritos are delicious, can definitely recommend. I tried to be adventurous and got the footlong quesadilla grande de maiz, but I found it to be really dry and not very cheesy. So I wouldn't recommend, but get the horchata or fresh juice! Be careful coming during lunch and dinner rush. This place is small and there's not really a place to wait besides outside or in your car, praying that someone will finish soon. read more

Came on a recommendation from a local chef and YUM. This is the spot for authentic Mexican. Their tacos are legit. I can't speak to anything else on the menu, but the tacos were really good. I got three to try: al pastor, carnitas, and chicken. Would pass on the chicken next time (it was just ok) but the al pastor and carnitas were delicious. Full of flavor. Inside restaurant space is definitely tiny. But service was so friendly and food came out quick. Would def recommend coming through if you are in the mood for some real Mexican food. read more

Wow... 100% legit authentic Mexican food! Order one each of the chicken, steak and al pastor taco. All delicious, but the al pastor was my favorite and the chicken my second favorite. Fantastic Actual Mexican food. Small and hidden in a strip mall in Pinellas park, we spun Yelp and found it by accident. I'm so glad we stopped in though. The food was fresh and amazing. There's really no ambience here just a small, crammed little joint with super friendly staff and delicious authentic Mexican food (and a take-out window in the front.) I saw they offered a huitlacoche quesadilla on their menu and rushed over as it's been on my try-list. Their house made salsas were excellent-verde fresh and spicy, and the red deep and smoky with just a little kick. Rice perfectly cooked, probably the most flavorful beans I've had in a hot minute. I had the house made horchata 10/10 perfectly balanced flavors and sweetness, they also offer many agua frescas including tamarind and strawberry. The chorizo sope was hot and piled high, the carnitas taco was definitely street taco sized but so good I'll be trying the carnitas platter on my next visit. A hidden gem in Pinellas Park. The food here is as good, if not better than anything I've been lucky enough to sample in México City. Any time I've gone, the service has always been friendly and quick. The Huaraches and Sopes are not to be missed. Near Pinellas Park for economic food. It is a Mexican place but has some good enough tacos. Space is very small. Not much of seat but it has the good food. I have the Lamb, steak and pastor tacos. They are tasty and quick. It take me less than 30 minutes from order to finished the food and paying. It is fast paced food compared to any fast food restaurant. Price is reasonable and average among the taco joint. Service is good and precise. They do have the tamales, steak, grilled shrimp or fried whole fish if you want to spend a little more. read more

I sheepishly ask if they're still serving and the gal nods her head and begins prepping a table for me. She suggests the enchiladas and I suggest that they be filled with al pastor. Probably authentic but the most bland fajitas I've had in a long time. Beans were watery. No chips or salsa to munch on. I ordered the combination steak and chicken fajitas but all they put in was steak. The steak was flavorless. It wasn't juicy. It was just flat steak shavings. It was pretty much like the Steakums you probably had as a kid. No flavor like they came off the grill. Fresh lime and avocado but otherwise everything else was just tasteless. Extra charge for sour cream or guac. Paid $18 after tip. It was worth maybe half that. There's no lunch menu. But you can order smaller items a la carte style. Not sure how this place has such A+ reviews. I'm a little skeptical. I was really excited to try it when I saw the nearly perfect rating. Lots of places much better than this. I wouldn't even classify this place as average. I notice a lot of their 5 star reviews are from people who live 20 states away and have only 1 or 2 other reviews. Pinellas Park isn't necessarily the touristy part of Florida. read more
