The restaurant side has the worst menudo I have ever tried. The tripe was very tough, we even tried cooking it longer. And the broth was terrible. read more

Really digging this place lately. The restaurant gives you good portion sizes for the money and it's really tasty. The service is quick and friendly and the small outdoor patio is good on a nice day. Super casual. The market is cool too and I've picked up stuff to make more authentic Mexican food at home. read more

If you haven't been here, you MUST!! This little kitchen is putting out some of the most amazing food I have ever had. My husband and I had tacos for lunch two days in a row and got the beef bistec platter to go. Holy wow, the flavors are amazing. Their house made salsa is magical. I would buy it if they bottled it for sale. re: the tacos...I had lingua, chicken and Al pastor and my husband had steak. All were beyond amazing. This is slow food at it's very best. You can taste the hours of preparation that go into their proteins, beans and rice. The bistec came with some amazing warm salsa. Oh my. This place is in a Mexican market. read more

This place is legit Mexican food. I knew the minute that I walked in and all the customers were speaking Spanish that it had to be authentic. Yep, the tacos were delicious and I will definitely return to try more items. It's a Mexican market and you would never know that there a great restaurant is inside! read more

One can typically tell the aunthencity of a place by who's eating there. This place is legit. Coming from TX, my heart aches for good Mexican food. The sopes were so good! We ordered steak, pork and chicken tacos. I enjoyed the steak the most. Their sauces are good also. The employees were super sweet. We will definitely be back to try some other menu items. read more

There are a few rules of life that I have learned over my years on this planet. One of them is that if a taqueria is attached to a Mexican grocery store, you are going to get excellent food. Mexico Lindo is no exception. Humongous portions, fabulous red hot sauce, perfectly soupy refritos with queso blanco, awesome rice, grilled corn tortillas, cilantro/onion mix and my favorite accompaniment grilled onions and chili peppers came on my Carnitas plate. I washed it all down with a horchata and I was in a Mexican food coma. The happiest state one can be in. Looking forward to trying their sopes on my next visit. read more

Worst service ever! Everytime I come they are always rude ! They don't even acknowledge you. I went today, I asked the guy for some cheese he was talking very loudly on the phone. I asked for a pound of cheese. He gave me whatever he wanted. I was like no excuse me, sir I asked for 1 pound he threw me an extra slice after that I went to the cashier. She didn't even look my way took my items cash them out while texting on her phone. What kind of business is that read more

Has really gone down a lot over the years. They have cut back a lot on both the quality and quantity in their tacos, quesadillas and tortas. It is shame because years ago this was not the case. read more

We just moved back to St. Pete from Dallas, TX this year and I guess Texas spoiled me when it comes to Mexican food. We've been on a search to find good Thai, pho, and Mexican food since we got here. While we're still looking for the good Thai and Vietnamese, Mexico Lindo was like a breath of fresh air to us. Finally, an authentic Mexican food joint! Tucked in the left hand corner of the grocery store lies some of the best Mexican food in the area. We ordered 6 street tacos (steak was my favorite) and sopes. Everything was legit and packed w tons of flavor! I also loved the sauces that they brought out and the staff was really friendly! We'll be back for sure! read more

I always had a curiosity to come in and check this place out and I finally did. I went in through one door that was actually the grocery store. They had a large variety of items. Then there is a big sign up where the restaurant is.. I went over and ordered 3 Tacos Al Pastor and 1 Carnitas Tacos. They were delicious. I will definitely return. Friendly Staff. They have plenty of tables inside and also outside. They also have their own door to enter the restaurant instead of walking through the grocery store. Just walk towards the tables they have outside and you can enter there. read more

Mexico Lindo - 3 Tacos Al Pastor and 1 Carnitas Taco! Super Delicious! - Grocery Near Me - Pinellas Park, Florida

I came. I saw. I took a picture. I ate. I left feeling like humpty dumpty. Sooooo full. The ambiance, to me, instantly said "try everything today, you never know when you'll be back!" OK...so I over-ordered...5 taco's worth...and ate every last morsel. Steak, Chicken, Pork, Pork Skin, & Pork/Pork Skin mix. Yes they have beautiful Spanish names for all of them, but I'm not even going to attempt to remember them. As I ate them, each one became better than the last although I will say that the stand-out for me, so far, was the steak. So good. Must try. I don't really have much else to add here that other people haven't already said, but wanted to throw my hat into the ring as saying "you must go. Tom has spoken" Pro-Tip: The red hot-sauce has a nice subtle smoked flavor to it without being mouth-on-fire hot read more

Sudden transportation to Mexico's streets My quest for authentic Mexican food (like the stuff you eat from crashing into a typical Mexican family's living room) led me here. If you can find the humble plaza, ignore the gritty exterior, and don't wander into the market by accident... WOW... attack of the delicious meaty and oily smells! [Cue mouth watering] A wall menu displays typical Mexican food: burritos, tacos, gorditas, and soups at small town prices. This is the real stuff! A mere glance and sniff of my mixed gorditas brought me back to my Mexico visits. The flour wrap was fried right-- you can eat it on its own. Grilled meats, cilantro, onion, and bits of tomato. Simple-- every ingredient danced on my tongue. The fillings only filled half the gordita shell and kind of spilled out-- messy, but worth it. The burrito shone as well and the horchatas drink-- maybe a bit too sweet-- milky with strong cinnamon flavors. There were more people ordering food than places to sit. The small staff was very friendly and crazily ran around doing multiple jobs. This little "deli" seemed like the secret of a community-- who would've guess from this humble plaza? read more

The food was delicious! I especially loved the Al Pastor, Carnitas and Chicken sopes and gorditas. Each order comes with three sopes / gorditas respectively. The prices are fair. Best damn tacos I've had in a long time! The way to spot great Mexican food. 1. Are you almost afraid to walk into the building? yes 2. Are you the only one speaking English? yes 3. do they have to get a translator so you can order? yes then the Mexican food is going to rock. It did. I had 3 pork tacos and a chicken Quesodilla and it was everything I thought it would be and more. I will be going back again. read more

SUPERB. Incredible "homestyle" mexican food...if you want REAL Mexican, this is it. Great flavors and a great value for the price. The carnitas are to DIE for. The burritos are huge and they give them a kiss on the grill before sending them out to you. Negatives: -TINY dining area...(this location is also a market)..also no ambiance to speak of. Just a little area to eat...I think they focus on takeout. -Odd hours: They close around 6pm-ish, so it's hard to have dinner here. This is a lunch destination only. Bummer! read more

I eat a lot of Mexican food. In a lot of places. I know Mexican food. Mexico Lindo is serving decent food. I like that you give me.. little ol' me.. my very own bottles of fresh, unused, red and green salsa. (at lunchtime, at least) I like that I can pick up some fresh chorizo from the meat counter while I'm there for lunch. Because I think you have one of, if not the best chorizo going. From a fat content meets spice profile standpoint. And I can get the same spice in chicken. I like that. And I buy it too. But could you do me a favor? Stop trying to charge 3 effing more dollars because I wanted a small "rice & beans" with my 2 tacos. I stopped eating here because of this. Call me a Nancy. Tightwad. Call me whatever. Just don't play games with me over the price of the food and what constitutes an actual "side" of rice.. or beans. Because if I ordered an actual side of rice.. or beans.. only. I would've received a lot more than what you put on my plate when I said "and a small thing of rice and beans". read more

The grocery side: The grocery is nothing to write home about. I'm used to way better Mexican grocery stores. (Bradenton and Palmetto, just South of here, have some very good ones with more fresh ingredients and even fresh made tortillas). The taquería side: While I've also had much better tacos, I found these to be better than any of the downtown taco joints in St. Pete, so I'll definitely be back for those. Casita Taquería, Taco Bus, California Taco, and Red Mesa might be trendy, but they definitely cater to college kids and yuppies who don't know real Mexican cooking. I've been looking for a place that serves real down home comida casera. This isn't quite it, and it could definitely be more fresh, but it's the closest I have found in St. Pete so far. read more

All I have to say is that Epcot's Mexico had better tacos than this authentic Mexican joint. And that's pretty disappointing. The meat was mildly warm and wasn't seasoned well enough. The beans and rice were bland as well. They were out of steak, so we mistakenly tried pork skin. Imagine eating diced slugs stuffed in a soft tortilla that keeps falling apart. Now pretend that moment in time never happened and you didn't waste your money on something that traumatizing. Yeah...not as easy as you'd think. I was really looking forward to the hole-in-the-wall authenticity, but I was sorely lead astray by previous reviews of this place. Just don't do it. read more

My son asked that I write a review of this place. I will say that it's authentic, good prices and all locals here. My tacos were great... The Carnitas and Carne Asada were perfect. you know it is a good Mexican restaurant at reasonable prices when you see a crew of 9 Mexican roofers eating their dinner here! I ordered the marinated skirt steak with Spanish rice and refried beans. It came with about 12 fresh made tortillas and a drink for just under $10 if you do not mind the hole in the wall atmosphere and the Spanish music provided by a laptop logged in to YouTube, then this is your spot. read more

This place deserves more Yelp revies. I love Market Lindo. I've been to Senor taco, and I don't understand the hype behind it. Market Lindo offers larger tacos at a cheaper price. It is my stop for authentic Mexican food (read: onion and cilantro tacos). Market lindo offers double wrapped soft corn tacos for only $1.75 each. The workers pile on the meat; I am a pig and am usually full after 4. But I always get 5, the tacos are that good. Tip: don't be afraid to try all different kinds of mexican meat with your order- lengua here is very good, and the pastor and steak are staples as well. Make sure to enjoy a traditional Mexican soft drink for under $2, be it jarrito, sidral, or natural cane sugar coca cola. I visit this place at least once a week for great food at a cheap price. read more

This place is a dive, and some very seedy people hang out here. If you like people saying the F word in every sentence, this is the place for you. The place is connected to a mexican market. Friendly staff. The food must be good, because it was packed with people standing around waiting for their orders. I placed an order, and nothing. I stood around for 20 mins and gave up with a number of other customers. One cook, and one little cooking grill did not cut it. Place was visibly dirty. I will never go back for a second try. Sorry! read more

Great place! Definitely stop in for authentic Mexican food! This place was so good. It's a hole in the wall joint, but the eating area was clean and the food was so yummy! The fact that I was the only customer who didn't speak Spanish, probably means the food is legit. The cashier- who I assume is probably the husband/owner was so kind to me and thankfully spoke English. I ordered the gorditas (3 per order)- I tried the steak, al pastor, and carnitas. Carnitas were very juicy, al pastor was my favorite. It had a delicious marinade. Red and green salsa was on point and not too spicy (which I love because then I can eat more of it). read more

I finally had the opportunity to check out Mexico Lindo on my search for the most authentic restaurants in Pinellas (see my 2 lists for 30+ reviews). I went for the tacos, and the al pastor was excellent, and the chicken and beef were ok. One bonus is the grocery section has about the best Mexican beer selection I've seen in the Tampa area. I'll be stopping by when in the area again to try some other taco offerings. read more

This place is a hole in the wall Mexican grocery with attached restaurant and deli. It's amazing what they could cram in the small amount of space. They also have outdoor dining available as well in case you need to bring a dog or something. There gordita's are amazing. I have ordered these countless times, I recommend the pork. They're red salsa is also ridiculous, it is spicy yet very good. On weekends they also have tamales for $7.50. These tamales are likely homemade and are very delicious, one of the best tamales I've ever had, they come in packs of six. Prices are all very reasonable and affordable. read more
