The lamb patties are excellent as well as the pork souvlaki and chicken souvlaki! The sides are excellent, however the Tzatziki sauce has a lot more garlic in it than it used to have. The whipped feta with peppers is sooo delicious. Not spicy as described but very flavorful. Dolmas the best I've had. You can't go wrong ever with the pita bowls and wraps and the portions are generous and filling. They also have really good french fries. Serendipitous!!! After 2hrs of working and reading I wanted to take myself out to dinner. I originally drove to Yiasso but saw that it was closed due to Easter so I Yelped the nearest gyro place, called to confirm it was opened, and drove to enjoy a nice and quiet dinner by myself. I didn't get a friendly vibe at first but I still tipped even though it's not a full service restaurant. I appreciate businesses being open on a holiday. Anyway. After some self-debate I ordered the pork gyro pita and a spanakopita. I really wanted fries but know I shouldn't. I was given a number and I quickly found a seat by the window overlooking the parking lot. Not even 5 minutes have gone by my delicious and rather generous portion of spanakopita was served. I used the fork and knife to enjoy this - like an actual pie. It was delicious!! It was nice and flaky! Next came the gyro pita. I usually order beef/lamb but didn't see lamb on the menu so I ordered pork. So glad that I did because the pork was succulent and extremely flavorful. The tomatoes and onions were fresh.. I frickin' love gyros. Every time I came here the guys were always so damn fast. My go-to meal is the gyro with feta fries and if I feel extra dirty I'll throw in a spanakopita. I've had this place on my list of places to try for awhile and finally decided to grab some takeout for a night in. I ordered the chicken gyro plate, which I initially thought was a bit pricey. However, when I got my takeout bag, it was a lot more food than I expected! What was supposed to be one serving ended up lasting me three meals! Service (even for a takeout order) was great! I didnt wait too long, but the folks at the register made sure to check in with me after a few minutes to let me know my order was coming up. Food is delicious and a great value for the price. The chicken souvlaki lacked any flavor and was unevenly cooked... with some burnt portions and worse one of the pieces our daughter tried eating was partly raw. The sauce it comes with tastes like lemon goodness and pairs well. The pork gyro sandwich was my friends order but of course I had to taste it for QA purposes. That thing is the bomb. SERVICE Very casual environment, cashiers were friendly and helpful when choosing and customizing your meal. TIP: you can substitute rice with some vegetables (for about $4 more). It would be what you would get if you ordered a salad, but with less portions. FOOD Food came quickly! I got the pork gyro, and my friends got some meat plates. The plates came with some complementary pita bread and dressing, which was a nice addition. Vegetables were slightly bitter, but the dressing can help sweeten them. Pita bread was soft and fluffy. My pork was very tender and came with some vegetables and dressing inside the gyro. There were also two French fries stuck inside my gyro, and I'm not sure if that's intended but hey, they were bomb :^) The portions provided were decent and will definitely fill you up. The food here reminds me of the gyro shops in Greece: tasty meats and refreshing salad. We went to El Greco on my Greek friend's recommendation. We tried the Horiatiki salad (commonly known as Greek salad in a lot of restaurants), pork gyro plate, souvlaki skewers, and rizogalo for dessert. The food took some time to prepare as they're mostly made to order. Good food takes time, well except for Chinese food. Once they arrived I was impressed by the generous portion, almost Midwest sized. The salad was very refreshing. This is rare coming from a meat-only person, but I actually liked the salad. The pork gyro was tasty and slightly crunchy from the grilling (get this if you're not sure what to order). The souvlaki was tasty as well, though it has a bit less seasoning so you can taste the pork more. You can really taste the pork and the quality of the meat by the lack of gaminess. My wife is super sensitive to pork smell and she kept eating the gyros and souvlaki. The amount of seasoning makes the pork flavorful but not salty. I experienced similar, very umami, flavors with grill meats in Greece and the Middle East but so far I have yet to uncover the secret. Both pork dishes have good amount of fat in them so they're juicer than most grill pork I've had. If that's the idea of authentic grill pork, they've got it right. My wife has been talking about Greek rice pudding even since she tried it in Greece. The rizogalo is pretty close to bringing her back to Athens. I'll be going back there to try out their other dishes. Maybe after trying their pork chop I'll learn how to grill it right. read more

We were recommended this place by a friend who knows the owner personally and I must say I was not disappointed. The owners were very friendly and attentive and you can see that they are passionate about their cooking and menu. We had heard great reviews about the lamb chops and they were delicious - they were cooked perfectly and the meat was marinated well. It had been at least three years since the last time I went to El Greco Grill. I had mixed experiences, the first time I was there it was good, but it seemed to be going downhill and I had some disappointing dinners there, ad then the pandemic hit, and went elsewhere. The place made it through the pandemic, so it must've done something right. My wife, son and I figured it was worth another try. I had a typical Greek restaurant cliche, the Gyro salad but it was really good. A bit oily, but it was fresh and well seasoned with bits of Gyro pork. A very pleasant surprise. We all like our food. We got take-out from here on Sunday and tried: -Chicken Souvlaki Pita, a little underseasoned -Bifteki Pita, YUM....I don't think you can go wrong with a combination of ground beef and pork in patty form -Pork Souvlaki plate, also tasty The pita was the perfect size for lunch and I loved that it came with fries on the inside. The Bifteki pita came with the perfect amount of tzatziki sauce and the pita was soft and fluffy. I came here the other day with a friend and wow, this place is great! I ordered the El Greco Salad with meat on the side, and I was really happy with the quality and quantity. Most of the time at Mediterranean restaurants, the only salad option is a Greek Salad, but the El Greco Salad here is a hefty portion of arugula with apples. The meat on the side is also a huge portion. My friend ordered the Beef Souvlaki Pita. It was pretty typical--delicious but nothing amazing or out of the ordinary. The interior is very clean and modern looking. They also have a pretty extensive menu. However, the one thing that was disappointing was that they don't offer any falafel options! I don't think I've been to a Mediterranean restaurant that didn't offer falafel, so this was both surprising and slightly disappointing. First thing I noticed when pops and I walked in was how clean they keep this place. There is clean and then there is clean clean and this place is clean clean. 5 out of 5 stars. The interior has old world charm mixed with a modern look. They have great black and white pictures on the wall of Greek people (very cool) and Greek music playing. As you walk up to the order counter (to the left) they have a small pastry counter with baklava and other pastries. To the right of the cooking area there is a soda dispenser along with the condiment area with oil and vinegar ketchup and hot sauce. Pops and I both opted for the Gyro plate, comes with a small salad, pita bread, Tzatziki (yogurt with cucumber so good), pork or chicken Gyro meat and your choice of rice or seasoned fries. I got takeout from here for a work event. It came highly recommended from a coworker, who is actually Greek. Horiatiki salad: this was a Greek salad but with a nice giant steak of feta, which set it apart from other Greek salads. For protein, I got chicken breast, which was nicely grilled, good with a squeeze of lemon. The pitas were nice and fluffy. For dessert, the rizogalo was great - not overly sweet but with a subtle hint of cinnamon My Greek coworker said the takeout doesn't do it justice, so I'll have to go back and try to dine there at some point. read more

I like the white look of everything inside. The menu is nice and large to read. I got the chicken souvlaki pita. The pita was really nice and fluffy...not like any other pita i have had before. The sandwich was flavorful and tasty. The staff was friendly and nice. Service was quick. They do have a small patio outside to sit at. It is in the front which means it is facing the parking lot. Great service, Since it was our first time he gave us suggestions and answered questions and even gave us a couple samples of things to try.
