BLOT- if you find yourself in DeRidder, Louisiana, Eat Here!…read more Clean! Great service, and very good food. There is a fun atmosphere upon entering with loads of picture opportunities. Big chairs, fun artwork, etc. The bar area is in the center of the restaurant with loads of places to sit. There are at least 12 tv's with all sports imaginable playing along with ice road truckers :) Something for everyone! Perfect start- warm spicy salsa and creamy beans. And the chips are perfect! We ordered the ribeye tampiqueño, which comes with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, one cheese enchilada and fresh tortillas. This steak is FLAVORFUL!! The cheese enchilada was perfectly balanced with loads of creamy cheese in a pillowy soft tortilla. I highly recommend. To finish there is an ice cream machine by the door. Perfect experience.

We've visited three times over the past year, hoping each time would be better than the last. We…read moregenuinely want this place to be great. The drinks are festive and generous--we usually downsize so we can pay closer attention to the food. The salsa is fresh (though quite spicy), and the other two dipping sauces were fine. The multicolored tortilla chips (red, green, and yellow) appear to be store-bought. One of us always orders the nachos; the other always orders the burritos. The nachos have come out burnt on two visits and soupy on others--something we hadn't encountered before. The meat in both dishes has repeatedly arrived with an off color that concerned us. On our third visit, the person who had the burritos became ill afterward. We're not sure if the owner is the "Viejo Tony" the name suggests, but the desire for the restaurant to succeed is real. We still hope things improve.

Food is exceptional, I have been chasing a feeling and have never been satisfied until now. You…read moreknow that feeling when you experience "The Best" and it ends up imprinting on you more than you think? When I was a young lad on the coast of San Diego, there was a little shop called "Bull Taco" Where the surfers after exhausting themselves frequent. The softest corn tortillas, the tastiest asada. With a balanced spicy salsa. When I had that taco I didn't know I would be chasing that taco feel 15 years later. But I tell you, today on June 15th 2026, all is well. When I eat this food I am reminded of a simpler time, when my most important problem was the heat of the salsa. When I experience the food here I am taken back (You know like that scene in Ratatouile) to being a young Mayan child - I have no Latin roots - I have just came back from playing that ball game they play with their hips. And my mother has prepared me a meal that will not only restore my body but eases my spirit. You might be saying to yourself this dude is smoking crack. YES I am but still the food here is delicious. I can taste the history in the beans and salsa. I can feel the mastery of flavors. Whoever is in the back is not a cook but an artist. An artist who has studied their craft. This food raises questions like "Who are you?". "What are your desires?" and it clarifies with a statement I AM FOOD WITH A RICH HISTORY. The hardest part of life is recognizing the beauty around us. Imagine if you had a neighbor who was super chill and never imposed on you and was always helpful but you never initiated a conversation or got to know each other better. Imagine you never stopped to smell the roses, or eat Centenarios tacos. I am not saying this taco will change your life. I don't think food has the ability to do that. But I will say I miss my mom, I am a long way from home. This food eases that pain.

The chicken was too cold to eat we sent just the chicken back to have it reheated. Everything else in it was just warm enough to eat. Disappointing. We ordered two beers and they weren't very cold I asked the Bartender to put the next one in ice.

We got a basic taco salad and sopapillas order, with chips and salsa Togo. Got to the vehicle and checked the order. Salad looks good. Chips and salsa; a small helping, but they look good. Then we open up the sopapillas. There's the three sopapillas but then added items that weren't on the menu; assumed chocolate sauce, sprinkles and whipped cream. The menu says a tortilla that's deep fried topped with honey, butter and cinnamon. So it should be that simple. But with a dye allergy and staying away from certain things it was a bad surprise. So I went back in and asked/complained and told to wait for the manager or chef not sure who he was to get off his cell phone call. He came over and said that's how it comes. If I said to put the items on the side then they would've done that but since I didn't ask it was pointed as my fault. Then I asked if they can fix it and they said no. I left mad. My husband went back in. They talked it over, same guy that helped me; finally agreed they will fix it this one time but next time we need to ask. ( How do you ask about extra ingredients that aren't even on the menu? ) The food was decent eating it. We 100% would've been back for a dinner party in a couple weeks if their service was better. But we're going to take our time and money elsewhere, especially becauseof food allergies. I hope their attitudes get better in the future and they learn their menu instead of making the PAYING customer mad. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. So to end this review. I am sure there is better places to eat. Go to them. Go somewhere where they care you are spending your money, even if it's just for a $5 item or making it yourself and don't treat you like they are doing you the favor. Eating out is a treat not a must.
