Really good Mexican food at a very reasonable price. My fiancé and I came here on a Friday night and were seated right away. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The complimentary salsa here is very good. The guac is ok. Fresh but missing some flavors. My fiancé ordered the chimichanga and I had the spinach enchiladas. They both came with rice and beans. He enjoyed his chimichanga and I thought the enchiladas were pretty good. Portion sizes were large. Overall really enjoyed my experience here and definitely plan to come back. read more

Decent Mexican food. This was my first meal in town, and it was decent. I ordered the daily special of the day (Beef Enchiladas), and my dad the Carne Asada Burrito. I wasn't a fan of the Beef Enchilada, but my dad's Carne Asada Burrito was pretty good. I also ordered a Horchata drink. It was decent as well. The server was friendly and attentive. Never again.... we always go to another place in town, but I decided I wanted to try El Flamingo out. Big mistake. We went for lunch, we both ordered meals with chicken. The waiter came out and asked us again if we wanted steak or chicken. We both said chicken. So, when my fajitas came out and they were steak, I said I ordered chicken. The waiter just looked at me strange and I said well, let me try the steak maybe I will like it and I was starving. I took one bite of the chewy nasty meat that was steak I guess and said no way, please give me the chicken... that I had ordered from the start. The waiter said ok. I would have thought he went back to the kitchen and told them to make it, but he didn't. After 20 minutes my husband was still sitting there waiting to eat until I got mine. His was wrong too, they put the wrong sauce on what he had ordered and had to bring it out in a separate bowl. The waiter came back and put a bill on our table. I said why are you giving us a bill when I haven't gotten my food yet? He started mumbling something we couldn't understand and I said did you not ask the kitchen to make what I ordered? He walked away and brought back another gentleman who we couldn't understand either, and I am not sure he knew what was going on. By that time I was just done with the place and said take mine off the bill i don't even want anything now. I was ready to go. We ended up leaving and neither of us had even had our meals. We were seated in the main area near the bathroom and all I could smell in there was the odor of toilet deodorizer. Never again! If this was the last establishment Mexican food in town I would just go to Taco Bell or drive an hour away to eat somewhere else. I wish Yelp would give an option for negative stars! read more

The quality of the food here is mediocre, not terrible but nothing to write home about. Basically the most generic Tex-Mex imaginable, reasonably fresh but I've never tasted ground beef that was less seasoned in my life. The salsa is the the only thing that really has any flavor. For the food alone I'd probably give them three stars. The reason they earn one star is because when we placed a takeout order by phone, the guy in charge took advantage of the fact that we were ordering from an outdated menu to deliberately misunderstand what we were trying to order, so that he could charge us as much money as possible for less food. Then, when I realized the misunderstanding while picking up and paying for the food, he argued with me and refused to correct the order while pretending to not be good at English in order to stonewall me. We had not been here in a while because you can get much better Mexican food in DeRidder for lower prices at Taqueria La Mexicana on Pine St, a couple doors down from Two Sisters. We ended up going with El Flamingo in tonight to keep from having to navigate the parade downtown. But their dishonest, greedy, and frankly rude behavior has ensured that we will certainly never be eating here again. If you decide to eat here and are ordering takeout, make sure to confirm every item on your order and the price that they are charging you for it, so that you don't risk letting them take advantage of you like they took advantage of us. read more

The service here was great. However, that is where the positive review ends. The food was absolutely disgusting! We ordered two orders of enchiladas, 3 tacos, and seven layer dip. The enchiladas were covered in a mountain of lettuce chopped in clumps not shredded. When you remove the lettuce there is barely any sauce on the tortillas and the meat is bland and dry. I asked for more sauce to poor on it, they served it cold and from a can. The tacos were old and the meat tasted powdery. The dip looked like throw up in a cup, they did remove it from the ticket when she noticed we did not touch it. I am enclosing pictures of the dip as I was shocked anyone much less a restaurant would dare send out a product that looked like puke and tasted worse. read more

I stopped in for lunch and had the lunch enchiladas. This was the worst lunch I've been served in this restaurant. The enchiladas consisted of two rolled up tortillas with cheese and ground beef poured over them. Service was good but food was disappointing. read more
