Even after cooking it properly, it's so difficult to chew that we've ended up throwing much of it away. That's especially frustrating considering how expensive meat has become. I've even asked the employees several times to please give me thinner cuts. They always assure me they have, but when I get home and cook it, the meat is still thick and tough. We finally decided to start buying our meat from Carnicería Guadalajara instead, and the difference has been huge. Their meat is tender, easy to chew, and feels like it's actually worth the money. It was some of the best meat I've ever had! It was fresh, soft, and juicy. I don't think i'll ever buy meat from anywhere else as long as i'm visiting. If you are having a barbecue or just want some meat for dinner, and if you're in the area, definitely give them a try. They also have ceviche and salsa, both made by the butcher. He let me try some of each and it was amazing.
