The marinated arrachera preparado is THE ONE!! I tried this at my friend's house and it was so good that I had to pick some up for my own shindig the following week. Somewhat of a small(ish) neighborhood grocery store that also sells tacos/burritos/prepared fruits/fresh guacamole. I was able to buy everything I needed to prepare a feast of street tacos, elote salad, and shrimp ceviche. I like that they have their own parking lot behind the store for easy parking. I will definitely go back to try more of the marinated meats! The meat counter was fast read more

Like to get ripped off? Love wasting your money for relentless overpriced products? Most if not all no longer price labelled? Then go to El 2 de Oros! There it will be your chance to empty your wallet quickly with totally overpriced products! We where out of milk so I went to get a quart as we live around the corner on Alabama St. I gave the cashier a $5 bill but was stunned when I got only 49 cents back! $ 4.51 for a quart of milk???? WTF!? So for a gallon you "need to get a bank loan"? I asked and the cashier confirmed. I said NO! Not like that! I'm not paying artificially greedy inflated prices like that! We can do without. The buck stops here! The store manager had to be called as I wanted a refund. I told him that all grocery stores in the are, even overpriced Safeway charges far less for a quart; $ 1.98 and al their products are price labelled. He snapped back: "Then go buy it there!" Thanks! I will! I'm done with you! I know "El de 2 Oros "for over 15 years and it used to have price labels on products and fairly reasonable prices. Not anymore! Since the Covid hysteria --which they still practice by running around in masks-- They no longer label anything and their prices have gone through the roof. Carpe Diem, greed is good? Milk & bilk? I once got slapped with almost $ 30.- charge for a few apples and oranges! So a couple of years ago I suggested to the store manager to do at least a price range labeling as it would give buyers a fair chance and decision and not get sucker punched once the cashier rung all up and then having to wait for an refund/exchange process. Nah, to much work... I'm done with them! As a consumer, a client and I have the right to know the price of items before and not "after the fact" purchase! read more

Freshly squeezed juice over here!!! OHH YEAHHHHH! On the top of my list is the COCONUT JUICE which is perfect on a hot summer day! CHILLED AND REFRESHING! It includes the coconut water and coconut meat! In at second place for me is the oh so VITAMIN A & C PACKED ORANGE AND CARROT JUICE! An amazing way to start off your morning! It is a small corner store but it's clean and customer service is great! read more

The store owner yelled at me today to never come back. Absolutely! As we are all coming down with flu's and colds this season, I like to boil a ginger lemon water to build up the immune system. So I came here to purchase ginger and went home cutting them all open to find the ginger was very old, turning blue and grey colors. Returned today to ask for a refund, with the bag of cut up ginger - by now, was it super dried out after cutting it open 12 hours ago. The cashiers refused to refund me and asked me to speak to "the manager" at the back of the store. After zero success of obtaining $1.71 back for the bad ginger at the cash wrap, I finally walked back there. The manager proceed to tell me that their Ginger was from Brazil and it is SUPPOSED TO BE BLUE COLORED. I disagreed and confirmed it was old Ginger and it's not worth loosing a customer over $2. The manager stopped fighting me and handed me my refund in nickels and dimes. Seriously? I told him, "you've just ruined my experience of wanting to support small and local businesses like yours over $2 instead of owning up to bad product that should NO LONGER be on the floor then to return my refund all in change?" He proceeded to yell at me to never come back as he reluctantly handed me two dollar bills! I responded with, "pendejo!!" Unfortunately, I won't be back. Even though they stock my favorite "double happiness" oranges. It's too bad as a business owner, you can't own up to selling bad, spoiled produce. read more

One of vallejo's hidden gems, for authentic Mexican food. Their burritos not very fancy, but the taste is very authentic like somebody's grandmother is making it for you. The service can't get backed up a little when you're ordering to go food but a nice marketplace that you can buy ingredients for home also has a check cashing place inside. read more

Best little Mexican market in Vallejo! Fresh produce, nice selection things you can't find elsewhere like hot chicharron, guavas, agua de coco. The prepared food is also great... I love their carnitas tortas and my wife gets an asada salad bowl type o' thing. Check it out! read more

I've been on a hunt for a good Mexican Meat Market where I could find good Carne Asada to take home and grill myself. Welp this my go to from now on. I've tried numerous markets in Vallejo and been let down. They have good produce as well. This review is solely based on the Carne Asada. NOTE: I also got a couple steak tacos from the kitchen. Not impressed, my hunt continues for good Tacos in Vallejo! read more

The tacos are a good size the burritos are cheap as well. You can't go wrong with what you order. This place is awesome if you want some good cheap Mexican food. read more

I bought marinaded carne asada and chicken, which I bbq'd and the meat was fresh and delicious. I'll be coming back. Please keep up the quality! read more

Usually this place is great. But last night I ordered a steak burrito. They gave me super dry meat. It was like scraps of what was left from the end of the day. The meat was tough and dried up. I paid for plain chicken tacos for my son. The lady charged me extra for cheese. Just to get home and there was no cheese . I ended up having to throw the burrito away. It was gross! Dont go there after 6. They'll give you old food. They should be ashamed of that. read more

This place is really tiny and cramped which could get annoying but the tacos are super good so it's totally worth it! In the back of this store you can find a meat counter with a variety of meats, both marinated and non-marinated and everything looked pretty fresh. I will def be back to pick some of them up for summer BBQ's. Next to the meat counter is cooked-to-order food and the carne asada tacos were delicious and reasonably priced! The meat was seasoned and tender and they didn't skimp on it. This is one of the two places in Vallejo that will be my go-to for when I have a taco or burrito craving so I'm glad I checked it out and gained myself a second spot to add to my list. In regard to customer service I have no complaints. You go to the back, place your order, and take the food ticket you receive to the front of the store to pay. This isn't a truck so tax is added BUT the option to use card is convenient. Once you pay you take your receipt back to the food counter to show proof of payment and you pick up your food. They didn't give me any salsas in my bag but they did put some on the tacos. If you're like me and you love salsa then be sure to ask for some to go. read more

$5 burrito? IM THERE. I've come by a couple of times now and honestly I'm super happy I found this place. They are a tiny Mexican grocery store (but don't let that fool you) with a carnicería AND they also offer food options. Affordable good food I should stress. My bf LOVES their chicken burrito and I always go with their carnitas. The burrito is always consistently big and flavorful. For me, If the rice and beans aren't made right then the whole burrito is bland but that's never the issue here. They are also super generous with their salsas; if you ever want extra all you have to do is ask. This is my go to spot for burritos and all the little things they sell. read more

Guao. Just guao. love El Dos de Oro. I wish they had tshirts. This market has quality produce and meats. It's not a place with a huge selection but what they have in stock is always good. No joke: the avocados here are always good. The tomatillos are fresh. The fruit is sweet. I have yet to try their prepared foods, but if their produce is any indication of their quality, I'm sure the food is going to be great. In addition to the tasty produce, the line to check out is quick. The staff makes sure to keep shelves stocked and keeps the line moving. If there's more than two people in line, you see the staff hustle to the register to make sure everything moves as quickly as possible. Big grocery stores in the area *cough Safeway cough Cardenas cough* cannot compete with this type of service. Do yourself a favor and check out El Dos de oro. read more

My go to place for burritos and tacos. Most authentic Mexican food in Vallejo. Down to the beans you can taste the simplistic Mexican seasonings. Aside from their hot food, they have a large selection of fresh meats. The ground beef is lean and the asada taste great. The produce is also fresh. The entire place is extremely clean and the staff are kind. read more

Best go to spot in Vallejo for basic produce, meat and pantry items. The taqueria is high quality and consistently delicious. Pricing is a fraction of any other store in the area. I have been patronizing this business since they were on Broadway and they sold CD's and small amounts of veggies. Lately the customer service that the employees are giving us, the customers, has been horrible. Today my Mother wanted some pastry and asked the young lady when they had brought the bread in; we were told it was today but when we got it home it was hard as a rock. At the register the young lady was flirting with a couple of men that were there. When my Mother paid for her bread she says thank you to the cashier and all I heard was a grunt. Not a thank you, Gracias, de nada, NOTHING! little girls stay home if you feel the need to be rude to the customers. I spoke with the owner and let her know about her employees. On the flip side, there's a young man at the meat counter that is super nice and thanks me everytime I get my arracherra meat for our carne asada. If this happens one more time, it's time to stop shopping at this market. read more

These are the best tacos in town. The lengua (tongue) is especially tender and velvety. Stop by for fresh carnitas on Saturday when Don Cirilo makes them fresh and sells them by the pound. They are worth planning ahead for and adding them as a weekly 11 am market stop on Saturdays. Make sure the carnitas are mixed: tender meat, jowl and pig skin that ar nicely caramelized and rich. Don't forget the pickled veggies in the fridge. The market itself is ok. Notable at the market are Oaxacan products that are hard to find in the states including tlayudas (gigantic tostadas) and an array of molé sauces. They also have fresh salsas, cut fruit and juices. read more
