    Rice

I give this place a solid 3 out of 5 solely because of the customer service. I feel like the staff was not very friendly. I placed a to go order twice. Both times I have ordered pupusas and a side of rice, the first time that I ordered this. It was great but like I said customer service was lacking. The second time that I went. I didn't look in the bag before leaving. But the size of the container of the rice was comical. The last time that I ordered the side of rice, it was in a container, much bigger than this. The rice was also hard in the middle. What a joke. I wouldn't order here again despite the pupusas being delicious, the customer service/ atmosphere is not welcoming and the sides are expensive considering the size you get.

Wow, why didn't I try this place sooner???!!! I've seen it each time I go to the Asian grocery in the same complex, but I didn't try it until just recently. The restaurant is big with larger dining area in the back. I think you can have a more private function in the back! The food menu is large! Lots of el savadorian plates offerings and the portions were huge!!! My husband and I each got a plate (steak Ranchero and another steak plate). The portion was very generous and the homemade tortilla is the thicker pupusa like, freshly made to order and came out piping hot! The frijoles/refried beans were the BEST I've had! The flavors were amazing! My picky toddler devoured the food!!! She kept asking for more bites, especially the frijoles! We also ordered 2 pupusas, the pork and cheese and the chicken and cheese. They were very good too! We will certainly come back again in the future!

    Wrong order taken

We came here for lunch after seeing the very long line at Sukies. My dad thought it was Mexican food but turns out, it's Salvadoran food. We were quickly seated and attended to. I got the shrimp trio. It had fried shrimp, grilled shrimp and sautéed shrimp with rice and veggies. It was pretty tasty. My daughter had the New York steak and it was delicious! My dad got the fried fish, I can't remember what it was called but it wasn't the tilapia one. Overall good experience, fast service and tasty food. I'd go back again with the intention of getting Salvadoran food rather than Mexican.

    I'm still waiting

RODEO LOCATION: Food is great but the CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE! Doesn't matter what time or what day you go, this place is more like a TO GO place, mind you pupusas can get expensive you'll spend at least $50 every time, but if YOU'RE NOT IN A RUSH and LOW MAINTENANCE, this place is for 'you'. Last time one of the guys had a mirror in his packet. That's all he cared about .

Really good food, I always get the churrasco and never disappoints, my husband loves the sea food soup(without cream). I got the pan con pollo this time and also good but I think they should put more escabeche, other than that super good

I am so disappointed at the food changes and feeling bad to give a bad review as I love supporting small businesses and love Salvadorean food. There's a lot of room to improve. I've been eating Salvi food since I was child. If you order to go check before you leave. I had an item missing. I called and was able to get a refund. She handled it nice too since she forgot to add it. I took food to go. I added pictures on all. The tamales both chipilin and pork were good. The masa was excellent. The size was small to medium. The pupusas are tiny, they are good but nothing extraordinary. As they are small there's no cheese stretch or a good feel about the filling. The masa is good. The quesadilla pasty was crumbly, it did not feel fresh. It was dry with no flavor compared to ones I've eaten before. The best Salvi quesadillas are moist. The guava, pineapple, and custard empanada pastry were small. The pineapple one did not feel fresh, more on the dry side, crumbly compared to other flavors. The pork empanada was probably the worst. They were tiny with hardly any filling. The empanadas usually have a ground meat or shredded chicken. This one had pieces of pork so it was not flavorful at all. There's table seating indoors and outdoors. The yucca con chicharron was okay too. Usually it comes with a salad like but this one came with 1 beet, 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber with a small bag of curtido. No sauce. Tip: The server gave me a business card and recommended to call for orders to go as the waiting time was 30 minutes. I did not mind waiting. I appreciated her sharing this. Tip: recommend the pork tamal. The pupusas if hungry get at least 3.

Despite being bilingual and of Mexican descent, I was treated differently because I spoke English. Due to the stress of caring for a sick son, I was somewhat distracted. After paying for my order, I briefly stepped away to retrieve rice pudding and salsa, then encountered a nephew and placed my food next to the items I had already paid for. In my haste, I inadvertently took everything and exited the store, only to be confronted by the entire staff, who alleged that I had not paid for the pudding. I produced my receipt, which confirmed their suspicion, and returned the pudding. However, the security guard had already blocked my vehicle and was not permitting me to leave. I attempted to reverse, but he jumped onto the hood of my car. Eventually, he disembarked, and I was allowed to depart. Upon reviewing my receipt, I discovered that I had been charged for sodas that were not provided. I returned to the restaurant to collect the sodas and informed security that their actions were unjustified. I am currently consulting with an attorney regarding my rights, as I believe I was a victim of assault, battery, false imprisonment, and property damage.
