    Birria Tacos

Amazing tacos! The Birria tacos are packed with flavor and are delicious. Fast service and food made just right--you won't be disappointed!

Me and the boyfriend ended up getting something to eat from this food truck. Everything's looks tasty from the menu which made it difficult to choose from. I ended up getting a steak quesadilla and my boyfriend got the steak burrito. I also added 3 chicken tacos and some chips and queso dip towards our lunch. They gave us a pager which I find interesting since most food trucks don't do, but we just waited in the car until it went off. The taste of the quesadilla was good, but wish it had onions and cilantro inside to give the quesadilla more flavor. My boyfriend enjoyed his burrito which was huge. The chicken tacos was awesome and it had plenty of chicken. The sauce for the food was ok. The hot sauce that supposed to be hot wasn't hot enough for me. The chips and queso dip was awesome. The lady that took our order was really nice and friendly.

Birria tacos - The image shows a foam takeout container with three birria tacos filled with shredded meat, topped with chopped onions and cilantro. Alongside the tacos, there is a cup of broth, a small container with a lime wedge, and a separate container of consommé. The setup suggests a traditional Mexican dish of birria served with broth and garnishes, placed on a wooden surface.

Literally have gone twice this week, and im thinking about it for dinner! The customer service is amazing, and the recommendations were great. Service is pretty fast if they aren't busy but never a long wait!

Ok, so I had been craving birria tacos since having them in Huntsville a few weeks ago. Those were delicious so the bar was set really high for any future birria taco encounters. I was excited to try el compa as their yelp reviews were pretty impressive. I came on a Saturday afternoon and I was able to order right away bc I already knew what I wanted.... BIRRIA tacos and I also added a small chips & queso . Once I placed my order I was given a buzzer and told my food would be ready in about 10-15 mins. This was about accurate. I enjoyed the birria tacos (3) but they weren't as good as the ones I previously had. Still tasty but lack some flavor. I did NOT love the chips served with the queso. They were stale for sure! Nothing like a bag full of stale chips to go with some pretty decent queso . This was disappointing! I would come here again because I would love to try more of their menu items. Their menu boasts lots of options. The customer service was good and the service was fast.

The image features a digital menu board for El Compa Mexican food truck, illuminated with colorful LED lights at the top. The menu lists various traditional Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, gorditas, quesadillas, and sides, with prices ranging from $3.50 to $15.50. The menu also includes options for regular and premium meat, and a kid's menu. The background is dark, emphasizing the bright display of the menu.

We were in the area and decide to pick this up on the way home. I got the birria tacos and while they were delicious I wish they had been a little more crunchy. I would definitely revisit to try other things.

Ok. I think I've found my new favorite taco truck. And I can't believe I slept on this place for so long before trying it out. I've seen the truck around Trussville for quite sometime now, but only recently stopped. And I've come back several times since that first visit! Everything that we've gotten has been great : tacos, soaps, barilla special. Everything is so fresh and tasty.... And portions are very generous! Love supporting this local food truck!

This is our new guilty pleasure. We really enjoy their food, and have been several times over the past few weeks. The staff are friendly, and the food is out fast. You can even call in your order ahead of time, or order online. The food itself? Glad you asked! They have VERY generous portion sizes, especially compared to other taco locations / trucks. The meat is literally falling out of the taco because they are so stuffed. As for the flavors - I've tried several, and they are all, so far, very good. The barilla special is great, esp when dipped in the sauce/soup that comes with it. The carnitas (fried pork) and the steak are good, but my favorite is the chorizo. It has such a good flavor without being too spicy. We'll be back, of that I have no doubt. I just wish we had known about them sooner. If you're out and about in Trussville and see their truck, give them a try. You'll enjoy it!

An absolutely delightful experience!! The foot was outstanding and service so pleasant! The outstanding food in my opinion was my gordita! I got the pastor gordita and it was so incredibly delicious--highly recommend. My husband likes the burritos and both the steak and chorizo, and the birria were delicious. He says the food is a 12/10! High praise from two people who love food! Chips and salsa were fine, but nothing special. Standout is their main entrees! Will be back soon!

My love and I were craving tacos after a long evening of shopping and discovered this GEM not even a full 10 mins from our house! The service was so fast and the woman in the truck was so kind. There's a picnic table next to the truck, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy our delicious dinner. We both got the birria tacos and they did not disappoint! These were some of the best i've ever had. Then it started to get a little dark outside and she came out and strung some lights around the top of the tent. So the mix of delicious food, cooler weather, and soft lights made for a lovely little dinner outing. This is definitely a new spot added to our list of local favorites!

Great food I eat there almost every day the Quisadilla are amazing along with the 3 Birria tacos with soup, don't underestimate the Philly Cheesesteak and fries, just eat everything you won't be disappointed

Really good Birria Tacos. Lots of delicious flavor, not too heavy on the onions or Cilantro. The soup was perfects. 11$ special for 3 and soup I added a 4th for 15$ total. Arrived around noon and had about a 10 minute wait. Fresh and hot. Will be going back for more.

Being downtown, parking is not always the greatest, but it was a lovely evening for walking less than a block to the restaurant. It was a Saturday evening so there was a little wait, but we were able to sit outside and have a drink while we waited. Once inside, the place was dimly lit, really loud with music and very clean. And for having unisex bathrooms, those were surprisingly clean as well. Our waitress was great, I wish I could remember her name... but I do know she was from Cali. We ordered a couple of strawberry margaritas, which were just your basic drink, but still refreshing. Started off with a basket of chips, salsa and fundido. This is considered an appetizer, so no freebies here. The chips were fresh and warm, the salsa had a nice flavor and the fundido was ok according to the kiddo. We had the grilled shrimp tacos with rice and beans. You had to assemble your own tacos tonight, and order rice and beans separately as the taco plate had no sides, but all delicious.... Beans had a nice kick, the shrimp tacos were missing something in my opinion, but not sure what. We also had the best shrimp quesadilla we ever tried. It has overly stuffed and cheesy with wonderful lime cream sauce to go with it. This entree was a huge hit all around and it did come with a side, so no extra charges. To finish off dinner, we all shared the strawberry tres leches and OMG... Absolutely the best we have had in a while. Too bad it's seasonal. Over all, great experience and would definitely g

In fact, I could probably be happy eating tortillas and salsa here. Because, yes, the tortillas are that delicious. As is that guac.
