I was looking for a place to eat tapas and some grilled food. And this place hit the spot. It was around 5:30 pm so not too many people, which means better service and more attentive staff.
I ordered the carnes a la parilla, more precisely the entrecot de promoción trinchado. It was charred on the outside but tender and bursting with flavors with each bite that I took. That was one of the best grilled beef that I've eaten.
I also felt like eating shrimp, so I ordered the Gambón al ajillo. It came in a ceramic bowl that had steaming hot shrimp and slices of garlic and peppers still cooking in the ceramic bowl. It was so hot, but perfect for a cold day.
With all the food I ordered, they gave me a complimentary plate of ham and cheese.
It was just the right way to end my time here.
I would definitely come again to this cozy neighborhood bar/restaurant. read more
