As we came in it was completely empty but as it hit 5pm it got a lot busier and people started coming in. I ordered one chile relleno and three ground beef hard shell tacos. The chile relleno was very soft and kind of mushy, it was not spicy at all. The tacos were very good, the ground beef had great flavor. The salsa was on the runnier side but was very delicious. The chips were also very fresh and warm. We also ordered the queso and it was smooth and creamy. Overall the atmosphere once you're sitting down is very nice. It was clean and well decorated. We were quickly served chips and a container of salsa with bowls. We ordered our food and it did not take very long before it came out. They did bring the appetizer the same time as the meal. The food was good. They forgot a taco but when we told them she quickly brought it to us. read more

This place is inside a motel next to a truck stop. I'm a taco freak and ride with hubby on semi so this is a win for me! I ordered the carne asada tacos which came with pico de Gallo and beans. Asada had great flavor, just wished the corn tortillas would have held up better. Plentiful meat inside the tacos ! Hubby had carne asada steak plate. Located next to a rundown motel, this was a shocking surprise to find good Mexican food in a tiny little town in Kansas! For such a small restaurant, they had an extensive menu, including lunch specials. Although everything was good, I think my favorite item was the tamale. Freshly made and filled with steak. My mom liked their chili rellenos, and my brother liked their chicken enchiladas and fajitas. Lunch specials are around $6-8 for a combination with rice and beans. Dinner is about $1 more. I was a visitor from California, but if I lived in the area, I'd eat here everyday! I think the locals know a good thing as it was full every time we went here. Just don't expect fancy decor or atmosphere. read more

I see why there hasn't been a review in over a year. Most of there customers are over 70 and probably have never heard of yelp. I on the other hand have. This place is just like others have said just ok. I ordered the fajitas coming out it was sizzling like fajitas usually do. But then it just kept on sizzling. I think they got it too hot because you could smell it burning. I had to pick off the top cause everything else was stuck to the bottom of the hot plate. After taking my fist bite I had to add salt because there was absolutely No seasoning. To top it off they don't serve alcohol so I couldn't even wash it down with a margarita. The best part of this place is the customer service. My waiter was very nice and checked on me on a regular basis. Now if they could just get the food up to par. Absolutely the worst Mexican restaurant we have ever visited. Errrrr restaurant for that matter. When we arrived there were piles of trash and dirt on the floor where it had been swept into piles with a dustpan but not collected. I gave them a pass thinking maybe they got occupied with a customer. NO. Those piles were there an hour later when we left. Shortly after being seated at our first table my husband noticed water dripping from the ceiling onto his head and shoulders, then realizing it was on the table too, even where they set the chips and salsa. No employees around we stood up with our things seeking another table, realizing they were not all cleared and had dirt piles on the carpet around them. Yes we should have left at this point but we were famished. Waiter finally comes out with our drinks, we tell him about the water and he seems annoyed that he has to find somewhere else to seat us; The food was horrible, the waiter just disappeared during meal, other employees playing on phones and doing nothing, loud rap music coming from kitchen....seriously it went on and on.
