Azteca is a great place to eat. We order from Azteca about once every week or so and have been doing so for more than a year. The food is always hot, made properly and they always get our order correct. Prices are fair and portions are large without being absurd. The quality of food is generally excellent, though there are occasionally times where the meat will be dryer than normal or the rice is slightly overcooked, but you really should expect this of any restaurant if you eat there enough, as nobody is going to get it perfect every time. One time the pork was very dry, almost to the point of jerky, and I mentioned it to them the next time we visited (we had ordered to go and I wasn't bothered enough to call and whine) and they gave me a free meal, so I have no doubt they'll correct issues at the table when they come up. The only reasons I'm giving Azteca 4 stars instead of 5 is we don't like eating there and the salsas could use some work. Service is generally good, but the atmosphere is kitschy and it gets loud when they're busy, and the location is in a s-hole strip mall, so we prefer to take it to go. The salsas, though they have decent flavor, are underwhelming. They are too runny and the hot salsa must be made for people who think Louisiana hot sauce is "hot," because it doesn't have near enough kick. Overall, my complaints are minor nit-picks, and Azteca is a great place to get as authentic Mexican cuisine as the area has to offer. read more

I stopped in to Azteca for lunch with a few co-workers at twelve noon. There was plenty of seating available but filled up fast for the lunch rush. Even with the room full, service was prompt and attentive throughout. The chips and regular salsa were great and refills were free. The spicy salsa had a great kick to it, too. Everyone's food was delicious and quick coming out of the kitchen. I had the Hawaiian pork tacos after another recommendation on Yelp and it was great! The two tacos were piled high with pork, sauteed bell peppers, and roasted pineapple. The taste wasn't too syrup-y sweet like at other restaurants. We'll definitely be back! read more

This is a great place to have some solid food. We were seated right away even though they were pretty busy. For a Saturday night I was impressed with how friendly and quick moving the staff were. Our waitress was fantastic. I ordered a peach margarita on the rocks and it was pretty good and very sizeable. The chips and salsa were pretty good. The chips were nice and crispy and salsa had great flavor. I ordered steak fajitas and my husband had some burrito. Due to them being swamped my fajitas weren't sizzling when I got them, but I wasn't concerned because they were crazy busy. The fajitas were good and I was so happy to be able to able to order black beans as a side. My husband also enjoyed his burrito. If I happen to find myself back in town I would absolutely come back! read more

We got lucky! We were on our way through traveling from Texas and Mexican restaurants can be hit or miss but we decided to try it based on the good reviews and we got lucky! It was delicious! Best rice & beans I've had in a long time! The steak was tender and not over cooked. Salsa and chips were also better than the average place. I'd highly recommend! First time visiting and it was a pleasant surprise. Salsa and chips are good. Really the food was all good. Server paid attention to our needs And checked in regularly. Restaurant was clean and lots of options on the menu. My husband and I got two margaritas one small and one medium. We both got combo meals and it was way more food than I could eat. read more

We called in our order and when we got to the restaurant to pick it up we stood up front for 7 minutes and nobody acknowledged us. We finally walked back to the bar area and got someone's attention. We ordered four meals and they gave us enough chips and salsa for two people. Once back at our place we served the food to everyone and it was cold!
