I love this restaurant anyway. But today they gave us some flan to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was, no lie, the best flan I've had in my 49 year of flan eating! read more

I love this place. The food is great, margaritas even better. Even take out during COVID was awesome. Get the churros!

This place is great !! Awesome addition to Dedham square, finally have some options for the area. I came here with a friend the other night for drinks and a bite. I started with the cucumber margarita, which was good but I thought it would be a little more cucumber-y ? If that makes sense I tried to order a cocktail but they didn't have the rose simple syrup which was a slight bummer. I opted for a spicy margarita ( which wasn't on the menu) but the bartender was great and made delicious spicy margs!!!!! The guacamole was delish !! My friend and I ordered tacos, we both got the chicken tacos (which are white meat) they were very simple but great! We also ordered the barbaco tacos which were a shredded beef similar to a short rib, very yummy read more

Just a serendipitous find and excellent Mexican food that is not at all Tex Mex. I had a delicious soup, very fresh and my friend had beautiful tacos, colorful and again fresh and tasty. We are all ready to find some other friends and come back for dinner! Welcome to Dedham, needed a good Mexican place near by. read more

Been by twice now, el centro has amazing margaritas and guacamole! I am so glad they came to Dedham! The owner came by to our table to make sure everything tasted right. Amazing service and food! Also, they have so many yummy unique tacos so choose from! This will be a regular date night place in the future. read more

Horrific. Just plain horrific. Placed and order through grub hub at 4pm and it was accepted for a 530pm pickup. Once 530 hit, they kept extending it, extending it and then cancelled the order. Food is mediocre at best, but was trying to support local business. I will never again be making that mistake. read more

Overly salted everything, overly dressed AND salted salads and if you don't sit at the bar horrible service.

This restaurant is so over priced and the food is horrible. Very rude waiter. Nice atmosphere, but that's the only good thing about this place. No wonder why it was empty on a Friday night. Can't imagine them being around too long unless they get a different cook and adjust their prices more in line with other Mexican food. Martini's 14.00+. If I want to pay this I will head into Boston not Dedham Center. read more

Had our first dinner here, and it was not good. Too expensive. We definitely will not be back. Although the staff is friendly, and the decor is nice; the food and drinks were overpriced. The waiter led us to believe that there was a drink special but when we got the bill our margaritas were $14 each. Apparently, the waiter meant that it was a "special" margarita meaning a higher priced margarita. A Corona was $8. Also, we could not find nachos on the menu. The soft shell taco was thick and very processed. Overall, the food was not very tasty. read more

Wonderful food, friendly attentive service, great margaritas. What more can you ask for?

I had a horrible experience with this restaurant. I hope it doesn't last in Dedham and we get something better in its place. I had to wait for an hour, to be told that my order was never received by the kitchen. The waiter was rude and the food was horrible. They need to quality of the Mexican food was awful. read more

Been twice now. Carnitas are amazing! And the manager is very helpful. However, the margaritas are weak! I don't mind paying $14 for a margarita, but there had better be some tequila in there! Please make better drinks and we will be back. read more

Nice outdoor seating area. Food decent but a bit expensive for the quality. Our waiter (who seemed like the owner) didn't remember our order. He came over the clarify and my husband was still served the wrong meal. We are both vegetarians and he received a meal with pork in it. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he said they could exchange it. We decided to keep it as we didn't want it thrown away. However, we were still charged full price for everything despite the errors. Restaurant was not very apologetic. I won't be coming back despite living in town. read more

Love this place, food always tastes super fresh. Really easy to modify some menu items to make vegan and the staff is always accommodating to help as well! read more

Don't even know where to start, this place is excellent! The Mexican corn on the cob appetizer is incredible and the street tacos are out of this world! Drinks are a bit pricey but The margaritas are worth it. read more

The staff are all very nice, and the drinks are good, however the kitchen needs some serious help. My wife and I live in Dedham and wanted to try the place out after a long day at work. The place was full, but there were some seats at the bar that were opening up so we sat there. We placed our order in no time, and the drinks arrived quickly. Everything else was painfully slow. We waited 20 minutes for chips and guacamole, and then another hour for our food. We were so hungry we almost left to go somewhere else. I ordered the Chile Relleno al Pastor and my wife ordered a Chicken Chimichanga. The kitchen is an open concept and you could see how backed up they were. The row of tickets was a mile long and the poor waitstaff were standing around helplessly waiting for the food to come out. When the food finally arrived, the al pastor was under-seasoned, tough and chewy (hadn't been braised nearly long enough). I tasted my wife's chimichanga and the chicken was dry and also under-seasoned. Totally disappointing service time and food. We'd probably only go back for drinks. read more

The food was not great and the prices were high. I'm pretty sure that the chips were from Costco and the salsa was a strange green concoction. I should have left after the chips. The rice and beans were dry and flavorless too. Call me simple, but I was hoping for a Tex/mex style place with a nice atmosphere. I also went a few weeks after it opened and the service was awful. Also, minimal options on the menu for children. I do not plan to ever return. Instead, I'll stick with blue ribbon....great food at a great price. read more

Potentially a Great place......I was surprised it was empty at a peak hour. Great Atmosphere, Good Food but Terrible Drinks! There are other choices in Dedham. read more

This restaurant, in the heart of Dedham center offers unique decor and a friendly, cozy atmosphere. The food is superb. I would especially recommend the ceviche as well as the stuffed avocado. However, the chips were undercooked and the guacamole was rather bland. The major problem with this restaurant is its service. All of our food, including appetizers and main course was brought out at the same time and didn't fit on our table. One waiter who is assisting the other, roughly asked "where do you want this?" There seem to be plenty of wait staff in the restaurant, and it was not terribly busy. For this restaurant to succeed it desperately needs a seasoned manager to coordinate the efforts of the wait staff and the kitchen. In addition, the waitstaff need some education on customer-friendly service. Let's hope it succeeds read more

Well thought I would give it try..... we ordered 7 tacos like all the other reviews very small. So not one of the tacos came out correctly. I actually had to go get a menu so I could see what was missing. As I was explaining to our waiter the rude manager come over... And very unprofessional all but pushed the waiter aside then started arguing with my wife. And with every excuse in the book why it happened! Give me a break how about just apologizing. And after all that the tacos where dry I definitely will not go back just because of the way that manager was speaking to his staff And my wife and I,absolutely rude. Oh and the tacos well think I would actually go to Taco Bell instead. I hate to leave a bad review on a new place but I'm not going to a place that the manager is insulting to customers and staff. And the food is way overpriced and lousy read more

Wow. I had the most unbelievably bad experience at this restaurant on Sunday, Oct. 7th! I went for dinner with some friends and I ordered 3 tacos, 2 fish, 1 shrimp. When my dinner came, I was served 4 tacos, 2 fish and 2 shrimp. I didn't eat the 4th taco, and assumed that I would not be charged for the one I didn't eat. Wrong. Not only did they charge me, they overcharged me. What should have been a $16 order, came in at $24. After talking to the waiter, he asked to see the menu, and then said, "You are correct. The fish tacos should only have been $5" He came back with $2 for me. When I questioned being charged for the taco I did not order, nor eat, he went to talk to the manager again. When he came back, he told me, "It was may fault. Next time you come, you can have a free taco." I asked if I could have a gift card or voucher, and he said no, they didn't have those. So I asked to see the manager. I cannot express how rude he was! He accused me of eating all of the tacos, and when I told him I didn't eat the last one, he asked me where it was! This was after they cleared the table! There was no apology, no refunding of my $6 taco (I didn't really care about the money, it was the principle), and treated so poorly. And by the way, the food was mediocre at best. I will NOT be returning. read more

Great service! Everyone at the table loved their lunch. They are very good with kids!

We have been a few timesnwithnour kids and have hadnangreat experience. We only have been for lunch but it has not been busy. Service is great and the food is easy but not expensive. read more

Terribly slow, terrible management, incredibly overpriced. We did not enjoy our experience here and do not plan to return. They have a lot of work to do if they are going to make it! read more

Between 2 and 3 stars. Depends what you eat. Had the traditional ceviche which was fantastic. The tacos leave a lot to be desired which is a problem if you are going to call yourself authentic Mexican. First they are served with one corn tortilla, not two. Then the tortillas didn't seem to be heated or grilled it was like they were just taken out of a bag then served on. Makes a big difference. Then SALSA. I had to ask for salsa. What kind of authentic Mexican place doesn't offer salsa or have plenty available without having to ask for it??? Also the food is completely mild. I suppose you could ask for heat but even after I asked for hot salsa they gave me a tiny tablespoons worth. Lot to be desired from taco perspective. However the traditional ceviche was delicious. I would go back for that. But otherwise it's pretty overpriced ($5-6 per taco). read more

I'm not big on Mexican cuisine but I LOVE this place. The food is delicious and the drinks and dessert are sooo tasty. Definitely recommend this place. Fun atmosphere friendly and clean. read more

My new favorite spot in Dedham center! We've been three times now and are blown away every time. I've had the street tacos and tamales and molcajetes, and my favorite dish is the Chicken Chipotle. Incredible fresh food, authentic flavor and heat. Lots of great vegetarian options too. The first time we went the service was a little sporadic, but they seem to have improved their game as the last time we went we had excellent attentive service. read more

What a nice treat here in downtown Dedham. We came on a whim and found the food to be original and fresh. Drinks were also delicious. Although a little higher priced, I would still recommend. read more

What a find! The food is fresh, delicious and authentic- table-side guacamole and freshly made tortilla chips! The cocktails are outstanding- great selection of tequilas and margaritas. The staff and management is very warm and friendly and we've felt welcomed each time we visit. Great place for date night or family dinner. read more

Delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal. The guacamole was perfect. I had a barbacoa taco and chicken taco. Both were delicious, nothing fancy, but exactly as described on the menu. everyone cleaned their plates. read more

Two entrees served simultaneously, good. One entree served cold, but was supposed to be hot, bad. Guac with steak was tasteless and could have been nothing more than squished up avocado. Expensive, too. However, they made a nice looking restaurant. read more

When I ate there for dinner, the food was VERY bland and the staff was VERY inattentive. Super expensive for the quality of food/service too- I got the red sangria but it just tasted like a bottled wine with no fruit or anything. Definitely could've made that food myself much better.. save the money and go to Taco Bell if you want a better meal! read more

Was really excited to try this place, but I left disappointed. The house margaritas are the only reason that I did not give one star. We ordered a quesadilla and a chimichanga. Both were very bland and the meat was really dry. They also had very little toppings. No guacamole, pica, salsa or sour cream. If I come back again, it will probably be just for a drink before heading somewhere else for dinner. read more

CRAPPY and Expensive! Shrimp ceviche is gray, and to spicy, Pretty much unappetizing. Not very good. Food was sloppy. The street tacos, that they Rave about, and inform the customers, they are hand made to order, need more practice, unimpressive. There are take-out places that have better ones! Sad. We will not return. There's way better competitors in our area! read more

I live nearby and have been here a lot. They've definitely gotten better over the months. Bills are mostly accurate now, food is consistently good, they now offer a lunch menu and in theory a kids menu (they don't give you a kids menu, but if you ask they'll tell you some kids prices and if you correct the bill at the end you'll get that price), etc. Expensive for Mexican food, especially with two other much less expensive options within a block, but enjoyable experience. Taco Tuesdays are great. Shrimp and barbacoa are my current favorites, but all are good. Homemade guacamole is always great, but for some reason their salsa was really bad last week - the waitress said they changed it and I heard two other customers complain while I was there. Their hot sauce is really good (and hot). My last complaint is that they've changed some of their ingredients so they don't match the menu - if you're interested in a drink because it is supposed to have "mole bitters" you're liable to end up hearing that ingredient was too expensive and they stopped using it after the first month. Birthday churros are good. read more

I usually enjoy this restaurant when I go there to eat however, I ordered out today and I do not advise ordering out. It wasn't a busy time for them and the chicken in my empanada burned it was black and hard. I don't know what kind of chef thinks that would taste good. My chimichangas had no sauce when I asked for both red and green sauce on the side and she even repeated my order back to me. It also did not come with rice and beans which I was confused because it has been included when I have eaten there (I never order sides). I called and spoke to the manager because I was confused as to why I didn't have rice and beans and he said they don't come with it. Then explained that it has come with it when I have eaten in the restaurant and he was rude and blamed me that I ordered it but I never order sides. I DO NOT SUGGEST ORDERING OUT FROM THEM. THE SERVICE FOR ORDERING OUT IS HORRIBLE AS MY MEAL WAS BURNED AND INCOMPLETE. read more
