Stopped by for lunch before a movie at the wonderful Dedham Community Theater. I had a small carnitas burrito. My partner had a pan seared fish and a pan seared shrimp taco. Everything was excellent. The staff were super nice, accommodating to special requests, and attentive even though they were slammed with a lunch rush. Did I mention the excellent house margarita? Everything was reasonably priced. Very good selection of fillings and extras for the tacos and burritos. It looks like a smallish store from the outside, but they have done a nice job making the inside attractive and inviting. We don't live close enough to make this a regular stop. The steak was poorly seasoned, the rice was undercooked and still hard, and the refried beans were ORANGE. Why are their refried beans ORANGE? Need I need to say more? I was REALLY excited to try this place because A.) I just moved from LA and B.) I'm Mexican-American, so I was really happy to find a slice of home in my new area. Yes Yelp, come through!! We were randomly craving for Mexican food and found this gem through yelp. Stopped by around noon on a Saturday morning and just managed to sit down and order ahead of the lunch crowd. We had a salad which was so yum with all the lovely toppings (black beans, guac, salsa, tortilla chips, and cilantro dressing) with added chicken for $10. And a super sized burrito with shredded beef, which came with soft/ thin tortilla and hot/ fresh toppings for around $9. We'll definitely come back and try more items from the menu. read more

I had heard good things and wanted to help a local business during these troubling times. This place did not disappoint! Selection is good, prices are really good, the flavors were fantastic! I ordered some takeout and picked up an Enchilada with pork carnitas as the meat filling. (You can customize the enchiladas extensively too.) I don't think I am over stating it to say it may have been the most flavorful enchilada I have ever had. The tortilla soup is described as the best this side of Texas and will be tried next. The chicken quesadilla was not your run of the mill and was greatly enjoyed. I'd recommend the guacamole too - it was also great! This is without a doubt the worst Mexican food I have ever had and would not eat here again for free. I ordered an beef enchilada with rice and no beans as well as chips and queso cheese. I really wanted to like this place because it has such great reviews. I'm going to assume I went on an off day because my cousin had recommended my friend and I go here. I've been here several times since they have opened. In the beginning the pork carnitas burritos were amazing. So flavorful and delicious. Tonight I got flavorless pork carnitas with black beans and rice. I also asked for pinto beans and got black. I'd suggest that the pork carnitas be made with the same ingredients every time, it seems you need better control over whoever is making the pork carnitas and knows what they are doing. The atmosphere is very authentic. There is no table service though . I tried a burrito in a bowl with Barbacoa that was tasteful and tender. YUM. I had a burrito from Pancho's yesterday for lunch (via Fooda). I went with a basic bean, rice and cheese burrito with lettuce, salsa verde, corn, jalapenos, guac and sour cream. This is a great place, a little hard to find but i can't wait to go back. Went with a friend cause we wanted some Mexican food and boy this did not disappoint. I got the Mexican plate, which was rice, beans and meat (i went for the el pastor). It also included 3 heated corn tortillas. I added salsa, lettuce and jalapeños to give it some kick. For so much food, the price was really cheap. The meat was tender and tasted great, and the ingredients tasted fresh. How have I neglected to review Pancho's?!?! I'm a native Californian with a love of Mexican food and high standards. Pancho's is the best Mexican I can find in New England, and yes, I've probably tried that other "great" place you're thinking of. I've tried nearly all of them, and Pancho's is better. It's the most authentic. The type of food and way its served might not fit the stereotypical New England Mexican food restaurant a lot of locals grew up with- but this is the kind of cheap, delicious Mexican fast food I grew up going to after class in high school with my friends in California. The street corn and chorizo is out of this world. I love the enchiladas. The burritos are great too. Watch out ordering the hottest hot sauce- it'll get ya. I try to go to Castle Island Brewery anytime Pancho's is there. I just wish they'd bring the chorizo with them when they go to the brewery. read more
