The sauce it's cooked in was like falling into heaven. My partner got the carne asada skewer and while it was a tad tough, he said it had good flavor. The corn tortillas were a show stopper. We chose not to get rice or beans with our meal, but it generally does come with the meal. We were also brought fresh chips (sprinkled with cotija) and queso. The queso wasn't the greatest, but the chips, oh the chips! Honestly, I'd eat their shrimp every day for the rest of my life. My only complaint is wishing there was more of it!

¡Hola Honduras! My…read morebrother in law is Honduran, so my sister in law found a Honduran restaurant for us to dine at for his birthday and we loved it! A local, family run place, the vibe is very Latino. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a TON of it. Our server informed us the food is all cooked to order, so it could take awhile, but it honestly came out as quick as any other restaurant. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful birthday dinner as a family. Our only complaint was the temperature. Either the restaurant doesn't have air conditioning or it wasn't working, so as you can imagine in July, it was quite warm. If you're looking for delicious, authentic Honduran food in Indy, look no further than El Sabor Catracho! * Fun Fact: Catracho or catracha is a word used to refer to people from Honduras. So El Sabor Catracho translates to "the taste of Honduras".

You will find additional parking at adjacent strip mall down the hill that is connected by a small set of stairs. That lot is much larger. When you walk in the front door, it is kind of weird, you walk through the kitchen, to get to the dining area. I felt like I was walking into someone's home. The dining area is very colorful and is decent sized with an adequate amount of tables. They have a couple of televisions in the dining area playing Spanish music and Telemundo. They do not speak music English here, and I do not speak much Spanish, but we were able to communicate and make it work. The menu is all in Spanish so you may have to google what some items are, like I did, if you cannot read Spanish. I heard they give chips and bean dip with each table. I did not get any though. They must have forgot about me. The table next to me got it though. The dining area is very clean and there was one woman working the register, serving the tables and busing the tables while I was there. I ordered the Carne Asada, which came with grilled steak (carne asada), banana slices (tajadas de guineo), rice (arroz), and refried beans (frijoles). It took about 10 minutes or so to get my food. It came out warm, and tasted ok. I am not sure if it is a Honduran thing, but the banana slices were very dry and bland. The rice and refried beans were ok, nothing special. The steak though. was hot fire. It was very delicious and had lots of flavor. So, my meal as a whole was ok. It was edible, but I would not come back for that meal. I like venturing out and trying new things and this was definitely the spot to do that. I have not had much Honduran food so I can only judge this place against good food, not what I think Honduran food is supposed to taste like. I did not find my meal tasty.

High School road offers A LOT of Latin American cuisine, many of them being Mexican, and this new Honduran place caught my eye. It was grilled shrimp that was seasoned perfectly with garlic, on a bed of many planarian chips and rice. Also came with something like coleslaw and refried beans with cheese sprinkled on top. Flavorful and fun. I loved it so much. Staff spoke English too. I will return.

I stopped in at an "off" time for lunch, so I had the place to myself at first. Not sure if I would like it, I selected one pupusa with steak and cheese and then two street tacos. I watched some European football while waiting and the food came out hot and fresh. Holy smokes, the pupusa was absolutely incredible! One of the best things I've had in a long time. The tacos were great as well, and the table had a couple of sauces to try. My order also came with a vinegar slaw that was great. By the time I was finishing up, there were three more tables full as they were ramping up for early bird dinner. I will absolutely be back.
