It's clear why this place is so popular. The atmosphere was welcoming, the restaurant was very clean, and everything ran smoothly even during a busy rush. This is a family-owned restaurant, and our server/owner, Raman Aurora, truly made the experience special her mom also checked on us. She was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive, especially considering how busy the place was. She checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and never made us feel rushed or forgotten. The level of hospitality was exceptional. We ordered the salmon omelette with house potatoes, along with pancakes from the kids' menu. The food arrived hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were huge, especially the salmon omelette. The amount of salmon in the omelette was very generous and impressive for such a reasonable price. You can tell they don't cut corners with quality or quantity. The house potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. One highlight was the homemade hot salsa, which was absolutely amazing fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. It paired perfectly with the omelette and really elevated the meal. They were also incredibly accommodating, especially since I had our 2 1/2-year-old nephew with me. They kindly gave us the seating I requested, which made our visit much more comfortable. They also gave him some goodies. The menu is excellent, with great variety, and the salmon omelette was highly recommended now I know why. Even though the restaurant was full and they were likely short-staffed, the service was efficient, organized, and friendly throughout our visit. It's rare to find a place that delivers great food, generous portions, fair prices, and outstanding service all at once. We were extremely impressed and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend Maggie on Meeker Breakfast to anyone looking for an amazing breakfast spot in Kent, Washington!

They offer their iconic Swedish meatballs and salmon in the hot area. The restaurant was large and spacious and had great natural light. The decor was modern. For lunch, I had the Swedish Meatball Dinner. It came with 12 meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and lingonberry sauce. The meatballs were delicious and the food combination worked well together. The portion was generous and the pricing was affordable. I paid $12.99 for the meal. The employees were very nice and they served the line quickly. In less than 5 minutes, I ordered and was sitting enjoying my meal. I will definitely need to try one of their salads on a future trip.

Please don't start a fight with your amor over an armoire, head to the IKEA cafeteria for some meatballs and princess cake before things escalate! Whoever the Chief Lunch Officer (CLO) at IKEA is made the bright decision to only have 5 options for meals. They knew that their patrons would be suffering from decision fatigue by the time they made it to the mess hall. At this point in the day, IKEA has put you through enough mental gymnastics, and you don't want too much variety in which Scandinavian plate to order. So grab whichever meatball derivative product that speaks to you, and take a window seat so that you can vibe out to the sights and sounds of beautiful Renton. If you're coming from Seattle, you've most likely never been here! Why would you need to? It's a gem, folks. You're bound to see hilarious views of shoppers losing control of their carts from above while you rest up for your final push through the store. I was pleasantly surprised by both the traditional meatballs, and the veg balls, which are fairly similar in texture and taste to the standard issue (did they make a mistake?) the lingonberry jam (I'm pretty sure that's what I was eating) adds a nice balance to the balls that is necessary to cut through the fat. The mashed potatoes were just ok, but if you screw those up then you are just a lost cause. A nice gravy blanket then re-invigorates the body, bringing back the calories lost from the 15k steps that you just took through a warehouse that makes Costco look like a dollhouse. Let's be clear that I'm not rating ikea itself as a 3 star establishment here, it's higher. They are doing us all a service by supplying easy to build (well, maybe not easy) furniture at a decent cost. And the store itself is actually fun. But I can't in good faith rate the food higher than 3 stars. It did the job well, but there are certainly no frills. Also, make sure you get yourself a Varmblixt for some warm, ambient light in your household. It will change your life.

The combination platter was great, I liked the sausage (3.5/5 stars), the chicken was good (4/5 stars), the ribs were impressive (5/5 stars), and the brisket was great (5/5 stars). Unfortunately the soft serve ice cream (2/5 stars today, previously 4/5 stars) wasn't impressive today, I'm not sure if there wasn't enough vanilla or if there wasn't enough dairy but it has a water crystal flavored like there were teeny flakes of ice cubes inside the soft serve??

And being a son of the South, I sometimes get withdrawal symptoms for BBQ. This gnawed on me all day today. So, we (my Wife & I) ordered take out from BBQ Pete's here in Kent. We ordered up a full slab, beans, coleslaw, cornbread, a sandwich with no name - Oh! It was painful to even think about what was coming to my mouth! $106 later, we're in the car headed downtown. We picked up that sack of smell-so-goodness, jumped back in the car for home. Had to wait for two trains to pass, of course. We get back to the Rancho and tear open that sack. Theeere it was. Smellin' like a smoker in Heaven! The actual eatin' was a little off expectations. The full slab was nowhere near the size of the old Famous Dave's or the older Tony Roma's; but serviceable. The cornbread was good, but Yankified - they sugar it, but not bad at all. I'll have to digest if it was worth the $106 for two, but BBQ Pete's slaked my thirst for BBQ for awhile. It's not Texas, Kansas City, St. Lois, Nashville, Mobile, or even Miami, certainly not Cherry Branch or anywhere in Virginia - but we're waaaay up here, nowhere near down there. So, my BBQ tooth is soothed, for now...
