Me & my friends call this place "El Patio" because everyone LOVES the patio especially the NEW TVs and fireplace outside...allows you to eat on El Patio during the colder weather. The small bands they have on the deck are pretty darn good, but sometimes a little loud. It's ok though, with the drink specials you will hardly even notice! Their food is delish but their plain queso is a little plain...try adding shrimp and some hot salsa...oh and try the SHRIMP DIABLOS they are very good! read more

Great food. Loved the ambiance. Walked right in and were seated, no wait. I had the asada steak. It was good, but not amazing. We will be going back again to try a couple of other dishes. The service from the servers was great, although the Manager is another story. It was pretty busy yesterday and he was walking around checking things out. Never did he stop to refill drinks or greet tables. I saw multiple tables in need of something and looking around for someone to assist. He looked completely oblivious. read more

We've been in a couple times before and the service was okay, but this time we were greeted by a Lauren at our table and we ordered a peach tea. She was rude and yelled at us about how they "can't make peach tea" which we've had several times up there. If you don't want to offer flavored teas fine, but keep some consistency with your business and train your staff better. read more

We had been wanting to try this restaurant, and we won't be going back. It took about ten minutes to get a glass of water. We were told they were cutting more limes and they would bring them out soon, which never happened until we asked for them again. We ordered the queso as an appetizer because our waiter told us it was amazing. Well, it was not. It was served barely warmed, had little flavor and was brought out at the same time as our entrées. The food overall was average, and all served at room temperature, hardly acceptable for mexican food. The restaurant was not busy and service was pretty slow. The salsa was good, but the chips were stale. I give them two stars simply because the waiter admitted she failed to put our queso order in before our entrées and offered to have it removed from our bill. read more

First time here. It was a Saturday night. Live band on the patio. The patio is VERY nice. Unfortunately, we were sat close to the band. This is the place to go for a good time and good food and drinks. My son and some of his friends came to town for a ballgame and as it was late we took them here. It was a Saturday night, there was a band and we had a blast! We sat outside as the weather was nice. My mate and I ordered the Nachos and they were Great and enough for us to share. What really impressed me was one of the guys in the group was a vegan and I was worried about what he could get. The waiter could not have been more helpful finding him something that he could eat. We had the Guacamole made at table side and I don't usually like Guac and it was Yummy! The margaritas were Fresh, tasty with enough Salt. The band was fun. We used to come here all the time for the atmosphere, staff and the decent food. Today was the WORST experience I have ever had and we will absolutely not be back. From the moment we walked in, the service was terrible. The hostess was ill informed about what sections were open and she offered us to sit outside when it was closed. When we got sat, another table was sat after us and got attended to first. We ordered top shelf margaritas and they were terrible, when I asked the bartender if there was anything she could do to fix it, she said no and that we had probably just had bartenders who over poured our drinks before. The manager, Kyle, came to our table and did not even ask us about the situation, instead he just told us he would take off our drinks(which we didn't drink and the waitress had already removed from our table). Our waitress was sweet and apologetic, it was her first week, we told her good luck and she said that she had already heard a lot of complaints. So long El Arroyo. You had a good run. read more

Tonight's experience didn't deserve even a one star... I've been so impressed with the fact that they've kept on going even through all of the Covid episode etc.... Tonight my family chose to go there we were going to go somewhere else but because they were close and they've always had such a good service we went. The service tonight was horrible, obviously the fact that they had a full load was way too much to pay attention to the fact that we had an order at all. My parents were in from out of town they received their food I received my food not to my specifications at all even close. My husband's order was never even delivered the way to seem fine with that she never even tried to accommodate or fix the situation she was just trying to make it through the night I guess. We need to remember as struggling businesses that if the customer is not taken care of you will fail. I won't be back read more

El Arroyo has amazing drink specials throughout the week, my friends and I always go here to celebrate anything! Birthdays, landing a job, you name it! I'm not a huge fan of their food, however, a lot of my friends recommend the nachos! They're half price on Friday's from 2 to 6! I think they are so popular for their gorgeous patio! I had the enchilada's del mar - shrimp and crab and sauce on flour tortillas - it was very good. After three visits I think the food is mediocre. I thought the food was excellent the first time but the two visits after were just average. The fish tacos were bland, the fajita's are good but nothing special. The service is always good and the prices are reasonable. Margaritas make this place worth going. The patio, when not a million degrees, is awesome, but the food is just ok. I've been here more than 5 times and each time, regardless of time of day, the kitchen seems slammed, servers and managers running around, and they get you your food, but seem to have no problem sending out food 45 minutes late, when the restaurant isn't busy. Still, I go back, fully prepared for the food, but love the patio and the music. I guess it's a price to pay for one of the few decent patios in Arlington. read more
