his is one of our favorite restaurants, with normally great service. Tonight was an anomaly. Service was slow and inattentive-not our usual waitresses, who are fantastic, and we were overcharged for a "special." The other waitresses were also delivering chips and salsa to "help her out". I didn't notice the overcharge at the time, and since it is a bit of a drive, I called and told the person who answered the phone that I wouldn't be coming back tonight, hoping she might say, "Let us know the next time you come in". However, the response was "Okay." Check your bill before you leave, and please offer whoever was answering the phone a lesson in customer service. The food is always good, and the service from at least two of the waitresses is top notch-deserving the above 20% tip we usually leave. We will be away for awhile. read more

I ordered the chimichanga and the ground beef had a very off taste. I've had this dish at the Owosso location many times and can say that I have never had ground beef that tasted as though it was spoiled. Queso "cheese" was milk at best. Service was ok but not attentive. Won't return and sorry I spent my money on a wasted meal. read more

The name changed as well as the quality. Sorry to say that a favorite place for Mexican food is now sub-par. Quality and quantity has decreased. I ordered a make your own plate of three items. I got two chicken chimichangas and one burrito. The queso blanco sauce was so thin, I thought it was milk. The chimi's were so small, I thought the kitchen made a mistake and sent out flautas. Nothing was spiced properly nor were the chimi's crisp. Service was okay except was never offered a refill. Avoid this place as there are better places to go in the area. read more

When I visited Mount Morris frequently years ago this was probably the only really good restaurant to go to. Service was always great and the atmosphere was pleasant in a small restaurant. Food was always something special. Today, however, the food suffers greatly and tastes far less authentic than it had just three years ago. It appears to be in the process of being renamed or purchased by El Potrero, which has other locations in the state. I've not been to any of those, but if food is similar there to El Adobe it wouldn't be worth the time or the price. Prices were pretty much unchanged, so if you do like their food it's not overly expensive. It just not as special as it once had been. Sorry to say this place has severely gone down hill. read more

Ummmm.... I ordered fajitas for a fresh and calories saving dinner. All I can say is HOLY BUTTER@@!!! #1. Since when did butter fall into this cooking equation? #2. Small portions and two tablespoons of rice does not appease a latinos appetite. #3. Stop making guacamole creamy. Its not authentic and it's just wrong. Update....1 hour post dinner experience Sick... our stomachs are miserable and I cant eat enough tums. Lesson: when the first bite isn't right, just say no and send it back. Its time to quit beinh afraid to speak up. And the restaraunts are not vwry willing to correct bad food. Its unfortunate to have to write this review because the food is unbelievably good. Two times, one being today we called after paying our bill for the take out we got because we noticed we were charged wrong according to the prices on their website. I assumed after the first time this happened they would get on fixing prices that apparently are not correct but I guess not. They wouldn't give us the money back that we overpaid and offered nothing in return. Sad to say because of this they lost very regular customers. read more

Went here a few days ago and was seated right away. Our server got us our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We said we needed a few more minutes and there was no sight of our server for about twenty minutes. Another server came and finally took our order. I'm very sad to say, but El Adobe has really gone downhill in the last year. When they first opened, this place was amazing. The last few times I've gone, the wait staff has been inattentive and from time to time, downright rude (we actually had a waitress that had never been our server before refuse to serve us for some reason). The food used to be top notch and reasonably priced. I'm not someone that thinks you should get something for nothing, but if a restaurant raises prices by approximately $2 per item, the portion should remain the same. In El Adobe's case, they raised the prices and cut the portion size in half. This used to be our go to place for Mexican food, now we go to El Cozumel, which is 15 miles further for us to drive. read more

Had the grande burrito and a cheese enchilada. It was okay, but it did not taste any better than Taco Bell. The cheese enchilada was too cheesy and seemed like it was smushed and the edge torn up. It didn't look appetizing. It just tasted okay. The burrito was big, but I didn't think the flavor was anything that didn't taste like Taco Bell, which is cheaper and a whole lot faster. The time we waited for our food to arrive was extremely long for Mexican food. At least 30 minutes later and after we had devoured piles of stale chips and weak salsa, the food finally came. My husband's seemed okay, he had beef tacos, but the kids were split. Not anyone in our party really liked the chips and salsa. They tasted like old Tostitos, but we were starving. The restaurant was only half full and yet the wait was super excessive. It took several minutes to get chips and salsa and they weren't fresh. Me and my niece and nephew stop in for a late lunch order our food also requested sour cream put sour cream on for of the taco discovered long blond hair in the sour cream requested for them removed to tacos they only removed the one an argued back and forth about the cooks are Hispanics who wears hairnets but the manager who was in the kitchen cooking with no hairnet had blonde hair I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

I've been here several times and I've never been disappointed! Amazing food and drinks, the burrito California is a must to get! I demoted one star because sometimes the service isn't the best. We were there recently and waited FOREVER for everything and anything. She didn't refill our drinks or ask how anything was. This was the first time we had any troubles there. Considering I've never seen her before I'm thinking she's new and hoping they won't keep her. Other than that I recommended and will be back!! Amazing food! read more

Charging me $53 for a $25 meal....then said they "voided" it...then charged me an additional $25....($78) if they knew how much effort I'm about to put fourth in telling everyone not to eat there...they would've given me my meal free! read more

Terrible and incompetent. I ordered a 10 pack of tacos a few weeks ago and they barely had any meat in them and one shred of lettuce. Like a fool, I decided to give them another try; very bad decision. I requested extra salsa for my almost $40 worth of food and they didn't put ANY salsa in the bag. When I called and complained the very rude young girl, told me I could drive back and get it and refused to put a manger on the phone. She basically told me " Oh well " because it was "complimentary" but I don't understand how something that I was charged $5 for, was complimentary. Very unsatisfied!!!!
