I took a shot in the dark we ordered mini tacos, queso birria tacos, a burrito, and elote en vaso. It was all SO DANG GOOD. i can't believe I've lived near here for so long and didn't know about it. It was behind the car wash by the vegan yacht. They have flags at the entrance so just follow the flags!! They were nice and quick about getting my order out. Everything was seasoned very nicely and tasted so good. The burrito has beans, meat, lettuce, cheese. It's just so good! I will be returning soon!!!

I recently read a list of the top 10 taco trucks in Austin. As my gringo husband is obsessed with…read moretacos, I shot him the list while he was at work. He immediately replied with a "let's do lunch" text. OBSESSED, I tell you. I packed up the tots and prayed that there would not be too long a line. I tend not to dine at highly rated local joints because lines are not so toddler friendly. Sadly, I am forced to eat at home or order takeout. Ah, motherhood. Made it there in about 10 minutes. It's easy to find and the online photos were accurate. I didn't expect much more. A run down taco truck with a flat tire. The woman taking our order was not so friendly. I smiled and chatted but she wasn't so responsive. Eh, I thought... I can live with that. The food took a while, but that was no big deal. We weren't in a hurry. As someone who really appreciates dives, mom& pop shops and a real gem of a taco truck...I have to say I was sorely disappointed. The barbacoa torta was pretty good but there was far too much fat on it. The chicken fajita plate was a decent portion. While a little dry, it was seasoned well and pure pechuga. My husband had the al pastor and when I asked how he liked he grumbled that it was "good". Not the best review from a taco junkie. All in all the food was what you'd expect from a taco truck. The real issue is the price. We ordered 2 plates and a torta, a jarriotos and a can of cola. She didn't give me a receipt and every time I attempted to pay her the cash she ignored me. It wasn't until I received our last plate that she took the dough and then she responded with a $29 total. Someone help me out here. Are shitty taco trucks charging everyone this type of capital? I haven't been out much since I had my last baby, but Jesus! There were no prices listed on the menu, and I can't help but feel like she was billing on a sliding scale. Either way, this chica will NOT be returning and neither will my gringo boys.

Order was done in about 10 minutes and pickup was easy. Service overall was great really friendly and knowledgeable for questions asked. The food was delicious. Brisket sandwich had a good mix of beef and fat, crust on the outside, BBQ sauce went well along with the onions. Bread nice and soft too. Noodle Brussels had great flavor however due to the inconsistency in size they were cooked to different softness. I preferred the smaller ones as they weren't crunchy when chewing. Personal preference. Overall great venue and the ambiance was laid back with a well kept area around the order/pickup window

Overall: 3.2/5 [take out]…read more We came to Chalmers Bar on a Thursday night during a World Cup soccer game so it was pretty packed. Rolling Smoke BBQ is right in front of the entrance. We were planning to try one of each taco but they had already run out of the pulled pork. They wrapped each taco individually in aluminum foil to keep it warm which was a nice touch, though they didn't bring out the red and green sauces until we asked for them. Brisket Taco ($9): The brisket was a bit dry but the slice was pretty thick and it paired well with the acidity of the pickles. Carne G Taco ($6): Super cheesy and heavy. The flavors weren't bad but I felt pretty gross after eating one and it left me really bloated.

Mueller is further away, but I have all day to shop, and plan, and get my groceries for the week. Something about this location that just has an energy about it. I feel so much better walking around. The people, the venders, and the dogs. My gosh there are so many dogs. I'm a dog person, and they know it. I have dogs walking up to me. And of course I have to talk to them. Venders are great, you have such a variety of prepared food. Love the dumplings. But there is so much more. Veggies. Fruits, canned goods, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, pasta, raw milk. I mean it's just a lot of greatness. Love supporting famers and small businesses. Coming out in the community, and just feeling a connection. Literally recharges me. It's been a draining week, and the market was my therapy today.

Farmers markets are supposed to be welcoming, family-friendly spaces where local vendors, farmers, nonprofits, faith groups, and community members can come together safely and respectfully. Unfortunately, I witnessed something that made the environment feel anything but welcoming. There was a small religious group with a table at the market, and as someone passed by, they shouted offensive racial and religious slurs at the men working the table. It was completely uncalled for. Rather than engaging in any kind of respectful conversation, this person chose to be hateful and intimidating in a public community space. I understand that the organizers may not be able to identify or remove every person who behaves this way, but I do think the market should be more proactive about making its expectations clear. A farmers market should feel safe for everyone, including vendors and community organizations that may be more likely to face harassment. Clear signage, public reminders, or stronger policies against hate speech and intolerance would go a long way. I hope the organizers take this seriously and make it clear that racism, religious intolerance, and harassment are not acceptable at this market. The community deserves a space that truly feels supportive, inclusive, and safe for all.
