Phil's Steakhouse - Here is the portion sized salad that comes with most meals minus two slices of cucumber.

My first visit to Phil's Steakhouse. Very small small town restaurant. Our table ordered Salmon…read moreand steak tips, both with salad and sweet potatoes. I ordered the steak tips medium rare and they were cooked well done. The mushroom gravy on the side helped me eat them as they were dried out and a little tuff. By the time the server got back around to check on us I had eaten almost half of them. She offered to remake them, but we both were finished eating. The salmon was good. I wouldn't say I would come back but I'm not saying the food isn't good. Mine was just not cooked as I ordered it so I didn't enjoy the meal. Inside is very small. We were seated on the covered patio. The weather was nice . The server was very friendly . She just didn't come check on us until she came to see if we wanted dessert.

Phil's Steakhouse has been on my list of localish places. I'm glad we found it as we rather like…read morelocal over chain restaurants. As we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. A nice surprise since it was Friday night dinner time. We sat in the patio section which was completely covered and cozy with the gas heaters (1/23). First a nice salad and bread. We both ordered a Ribeye and Loaded Baked Potato. The salad was standard and well dressed. The steak was cooked exactly as we ordered, medium, and well seasoned. Loaded baked potato was perfectly soft and had that great skin. We really enjoyed and appreciated this local steakhouse. We can see why there was a full house and people waiting as we left. Phil's was a nice find.

Stopped on a road trip for an early dinner. First impression wasn't very good. Needed a bathroom…read moreand it wasn't very clean including sticky floors. Having never been I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices and let my wife order for us while I found a table. The floors were sticky, the table was stick, and some moron was on their phone using speaker phone. My wife ordered two Philly Cheesesteaks making one a 'jumbo' to include onion rings, fries, and a drink. Service was friendly & helpful for us newcomers and the food was delivered quickly by the friendly staff. So as much as I was concerned about sticky floors and all that, the food really was delicious. The cheesesteaks seemed to be more bun than meat, but honestly it was a perfect balance of meat, cheese, grilled onion AND a PERFECTLY crispy AND soft bun. The sandwich truly was magnificent and really well balanced/proportioned. I thought the rings were a bit under cooked, but I was fooled again! Onion was soft, well cooked, and flavorful. Fried were definitely undercooked but I don't generally eat French fries so all good. Cole Slaw was middle of the road. I struggle with a rating but sticky floors, sticky table along with a few environmental things really drag down my overall perception. Friendly/competent staff and an excellent sandwich will hold a steady rating of three. Would I eat there again? It is on of the few unique non-chains in the area and I know what to expect going in. So if I need to stop on the area, I'd more than likely stop again thanks to staff and food!

Best thing we had was the buffalo chicken wrap. I'll update the review once we come back again. I'm gonna pass on the fries and onion rings next time though, they aren't with the extra $3. The restaurant feels like a diner but you order at the counter and bus your own tables. Pete's has so many items on the menu I'm sure we will find our favorites soon!
