Ordering was a little untraditional but our food was delicious. The service was fast and efficient. The restaurant was very clean and well laid out. Prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food.

Hidden Gem! Stacked with local folks (Always a good sign). A little off the beaten path but worth the find. Home style food and attentive staff! Homey atmosphere.

Stopped this morning on our way back to Florida. I always love getting a good breakfast in before a day spent in the car. Who is with me? Well, after a long weekend in North Carolina we finally found amazing sausage gravy. Full of flavor with tasty bits of sausage. Hubby loved every bite, couldn't even snap a pic. I really enjoyed both the baked oatmeal and loaded hash browns. The oatmeal had amazing flavor and the fruits and pecans on top along with a bit of milk and maple syrup was phenomenal. I'll be dreaming about that cup tonight. And if you've never had hash browns with green pepper - DO IT! I usually do onion but now thing green pepper will be added to every hash brown dish I make. Thanks Southern Manners for delish food. A nice ambience. And extremely kind employees. What a great way to start out a busy day.

A good family ambiance. Food is delicious and affordable. Service is some of the best around. I must try.

There are not too many places on this main street and everyone has different hours and days open. This place happened to be opened after I had a procedure on my back. When walking in you place your order and pay and they bring to whatever table you sit at. All I seen was high school aged kids working no one older After the food came out, we noticed the girl charged for a more expensive breakfast so she asked what else she could bring instead of any refund for her mistake, If you want more coffee you have to get up and get it yourself. Not sure if this way of services are pre covid or because of covid. Kinda a pain to have to get up to get your own coffee refills My breakfast was one piece of sausage, one french toast and one egg almost $5.00 I think I would have rather had a mcdonald's egg McMuffin with sausage. Definitely not worth the money. Food was ok nothing special. I guess because of covid things changed seemed like the food and service use to be much better from what I have read., I am sure if they know you it maybe different too. Not too sure if we would ever go back it was no where close to being exceptionally good based on the service and food.

A hidden treasure with excellent food and service. The menu is amazing for both breakfast and lunch. Order at the counter and your food is served to your table with frequent checks on whether you need anything else. The setting is down home diner surrounded by locals and those passing through this quaint county seat town.

Love this place!!! Perfectly fantastic prepped breakfast ! Very fresh and great portions. You order and pay at counter, grab a seat and they bring it to you. You get your drink at the station but come around with refills.. Do yourself a favor and get the tomato basil toast. It's now my favorite bread!! They also have a deli counter to by boars head meats and a area where the sell their freshly made breads and such...It will be a staple of ours for breakfast from now on!!

Good food and love the General store. I was amazed they had small but delicious Gluten Free donuts. Definitely going back.

Very fast service and great food. Still think that placing your order when you first walk in is odd.

The restaurant specializes in using local ingredients and the food was top notch. The Nutty Chicken Salad is a green salad WITH nuts, chicken, and fruit, rather than a southern chicken salad. The portion was generous and filling. Hubby's quesadilla was made with what looked to be a spinach wrap and he said it was tasty. The fry I "stole" from his plate was crispy and enjoyable. The iced tea was refreshing and our server got me a to-go cup for the road when we left. We also took a "Whoppers" cookie with us for a sweet treat. Stopping at Stone Soup was definitely an excellent choice in our travels!

What happened to our go-to restaurant in Landrum?!…read more We were big fans and frequent visitors to Stone Soup based on good food, service and atmosphere. That changed tonight. We were welcomed with a hand-written dry erase board outside of the entrance promoting "SPecails" and should have turned around then. We were seated at the bar and eventually greeted by a bartender, who was able to get me a drink, on my 3rd order (telling us that the manager had quit, the pear martini was no longer on the menu due to cost and that they didn't have the Edmunds Oast, Bound by Time beer that was on the menu (actually spelled on menu as "Bond")). My Wife ordered her usual, Cosmo, and said it was the worst she'd ever had. We ordered the Mediterranean plate and Brussels. They were both fine but we weren't checked on a single time after they were delivered. Our water glasses were empty well before we finished, and never refilled. When I asked for the check and gave the bartender a $100 bill, she gave me change from her pocket, which was to the restaurant's favor by a few cents! What in the world?!? Again, we have been fans of Stone Soup for years but we won't return given this disappointing (truly) experience.

Hubby had the spaghetti bolognese with 2 meatballs & house salad with ranch dressing. We shared the calamari appetizer. Food was delicious! I had a glass of Cab and hubby had iced tea. So good! Plenty of seating at 5:30 on a Saturday. I made a reservation through Resi, but there issues with it; no worries, we were seated right away. In the future, I will call in my reservation. My only critique would be the quality of the flatware. It was straight out of Dollar Tree quality; didn't match the ambiance of the place. I would love to see them upgrade the flatware in the future.

The restaurant features plenty of windows, a covered patio, and a spacious main dining and bar area. The vibe is very casual and chill. We had made reservations and were greeted and seated promptly by a very accommodating hostess. The menu offers a wide variety of options. We ordered Chicken Piccata and a shrimp pasta dish, both of which come with a salad. Bread with olive oil is also available upon request. While the salads were just meh, the Chicken Piccata was excellent. The shrimp dish, however, was a bit heavy on the sauce. It's a nice spot to unwind, though be prepared for longer wait times for your entrees. Our server was friendly and attentive. As we were leaving, we enjoyed the start of a two-man country band that sounded great!
