Wonderful little lunch stop! Friendly staff and great service. This is our go-to place when we have a day off during the week! My friends and family go here very often. They have great sandwiches and salads (like chicken, pimento cheese, broccoli, potato, etc) and you can buy salad plates and pick up to 4 for a meal. They also have daily homemade country specials like ham or turkey and dressing with mac and cheese and cinnamon apples. My favorite thing here is dessert! They have amazing homemade desserts that change daily. Mississippi mud pie, pecan pie, banana pudding, Italian crime cake, triple chocolate truffle cupcakes, salted caramel cupcakes, and peanut butter pie, just to name a few. Staff were very friendly and welcoming but what we ate was a little bland. It may be intentional as the crowd we saw was mostly advanced in age and may not enjoy highly seasoned dishes. Creative menu items and perhaps our dishes were not adventurous enough by us. Would not say it was great but definitely met the need and was good enough. They appear to have a following and love from the locals so I may have missed on this go round. Perhaps next time we're in town we'll try again. read more

This review is only for the deserts. The mains are not as good. The sides are probably a 4. It's worth a trip for the deserts though.

I think this place survives because of the location and that there aren't any similar restaurants near by, can't forget small town networks. They have done a good job at making the space look inviting and that gives you hope. But not a lot of flavor, I think the salad is good and gives plenty to offer but that doesn't warrant a 5 star review. Everything else tastes like they never picked up a spice in their life. Everything here deserves 5 stars best pimento cheese and chicken salad around. Yeah it is a small town restaurant and they make you feel right at home. Chicken stew is to dye for. All pasta salads and deserts are one of a kind. Some people that want just a salad should stay in Greenville.
