I have to say the bagels are ALWAYS consistently good. That being said .. the last two times my husband and I ordered toasted and buttered bagels we received the wrong type of bagels. The line was too long to go back to have them get it right. Another problem is that when you order on the app you do NOT get a senior discount OR the free coffee I'm entitled to each month long (in my rewards) because I frequent this Einstein's so often. I have NEVER been able to get that coffee without being charged. Every time I tell the employee when I enter to get my order they tell me 'Oh, it should work!', OR, 'Oh, order the coffee FIRST then your order'. Nope nothing works. Today I showed the girl (employee) on my phone when I picked up my order today (as if I was placing another order). Sure enough, it was charging me for the coffee. She didn't know why. Update on previous review (2 years ago): Management says they're "sorry" for letting me down. If that's true why do they STILL not have salt or Sweet'n Low?? Today's experience: They STEAL tips if you don't watch them closely. I used my ATM card's chip and tapped it, never putting in any tip, yet the receipt showed a $3.00 tip. Regarding tips: When I pay for something and am handed the item that I purchased, why do some people feel that's "above and beyond" and expect a tip? This is getting out of hand. When I use to commute to work, I use to pick up a bagel before I hit the freeway about 1-2 times a week. Using their app, I racked up enough points for a free dozen bagels several times. We were looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast and my husband he use to grab breakfast here when he use to work in Torrance. I always heard about the franchise but never close to a store. My husband ordered the Farmhouse and I got a jalapeño cheddar bagel with one egg, turkey sausage and cheddar. We also ordered a cheddar hash brown which our daughter liked. This was my first visit, and I ordered the Baker's Dozen. The cashier filled our bagel box without providing any explanation or clarifying the pricing, then directed us to pay at the next register. At checkout, we were informed that our total was significantly higher $9.00 to be exact because 10 of the 13 bagels were subject to an additional $0.90 charge each--something that had not been communicated upfront. In addition my drink was supposed to be a LARGE and she charged for a small. I paid for them but was slightly upset especially since finances are tight due to inflation. I spoke with the manager, who apologized and acknowledged that we should have been informed of the extra charges. However, no compensation was initially offered. Only after I mentioned it did she say, "Well, I accidentally made an extra drink--so you can have it if you like." I very disappointed with my service and now understand why their over all rating is only 2 1/2 stars. NOT TO END IT IN A BAD NOTE COMPLETELY; The bagels and cream cheese were delicious. read more

Came here 3 days in a row now. Got the Spinach Florentine bagel twice and happy to say it's consistently fantastic. That char cheese flavor on the edges and that gooey cheese with spinach in the middle is now my go-to. 3rd day I tried the jalapeño cheese bagel, fantastic as well. It's a different cheese than the spinach one (cheddar) and I didn't really taste any of that char cheese flavor on the edges like the spinach bagel but it was still fantastic. Crispy cheese, jalapeño heat that wasn't overwhelming (I hear the green chile bagel is spicier, may try that next, but need to try the hash brown bagel first). This place seriously had the WORST customer service I have ever seen at an einsteins. I had just come in for a sptrad abd no one acknowledged me, the whole store was packed with people waiting for their orders for long periods of time, the employees had attitudes with the customers. This bagel spot is convenient for a good breakfast meal. I ordered the Garden Avacado in a green chile bagel. and a Cinnamon Chip Muffin to go along with it. The vegetables were very fresh and I loved the taste of the avacado mixed with the egg, it is a refreshing combination. I am no bagel professional since this is my first time trying a bagel, but the green chile was very refreshing in terms of taste. I will say out of personal preferance, I am very picky in terms of flavor and I do think that the bagel and the cinnamon chip muffin tasted a bit plain. But it was still a wonderful experiance and I love the ambiance of the place. It feels like a good place to chill and relax for the day and eat a good bagel. Lastly, I have no complaints as for the service. The food came in perfectly, recieved my bagel and the cashiers were very calm people. Out of personal opinion, I would rate the bagel a 3 star and the experiance a five star. I had no idea what to get when I walked in, I ordered a Ham and Swiss on honey whole wheat bagel (yeah idk ‍ just trying to look for healthy options lol) and a vanilla cream cold brew. This place is worth visiting again. My sandwich was good, I feel like it needed a little more meat and cheese, but the flavor was delicious. Maybe I need to request more meat next time or try a different sandwich. But I would love to try their signature "shmear " and spreads on a bagel next time. My coffee was amazing, it was the perfect amount of sweet and the perfect amount in a small cup. The prices here are not ridiculous, it was clean and there was a long line so business is good for them. I was happy that the workers were on top of their game, it was a busy day for them with two registers open, and all the workers hustling, not to mention the quality service and friendliness despite the high traffic. If you're in the area doing some shopping at the mall, running to Costco or errands I'd say it's a great place to get a quick bite! read more

I remember ordering curbside during the pandemic and service was always timely and cheerful. Fast forward a few years and while Covid will always be present we are more comfortable entering establishments with or without masks. I agree that if you show up and order at the counter it can be quite a wait. I always order on the app and then drive over to pick up. Tasty bagels! Had to do fasting blood work a few blocks away and made a stop here for breakfast. I always like to get the cheese bagels toasted with lots of cream cheese along with a hot cup of decaf. The order taker and the person calling out my order were nice enough. It is a bummer though that they still block off all the tables in end of November 2022. They have plenty of tables and do not allow dine-in due to COVID. So, I enjoyed my bagel and coffee from inside my car. There are some tables outside but, they were taken. Einstein also offers breakfast sandwiches in addition to the various types of bagels and spreads. I am not a regular here but, would return if I am in the area craving something savory with my decaf. Starting your day with a fresh smell of toasted bagel and good coffee is always blissful. I visit this bagel store quite frequently. Usually a busy place, especially over the weekends. Service is always quick. Because of the fact that they are busy, the bagels are freshly baked and replenished. I stick around to bagels with smears rather than going for the ones that come with omelet. I somehow feel bagel and eggs do not go well together. Actually I like the coffee in this place as well. Just got back from trying Einstein bagels for the first time in Texas, it was BOMB. I found out that I lived near one here in Cali, At this location the jalapeño Bagel was barely filled with cream cheese. The Hash brown bagel tasted like a plain bagel. $2 for cream cheese? Might as well buy your block of cream cheese and bring it with you. And lastly the cold brew chocolate cream drink claims to have coffee but instead tastes like watered downed chocolate milk.
