I was coming back from a walk and saw this place and thought I would stop in for a coffee and breakfast. I was greeted by a very friendly employee, who's name I learned later was Fedor. He was super kind and did his job well. I ordered a coffee and farmhouse breakfast bagel. I was surprised the entire meal was under $10 and thought this was a great value, especially for being in Sunny Isles Beach. I was given a cup and directed to the coffee station. The coffee was good and hot!... And I know that seems like that should be expected, but I've had really bad experiences with other local coffee spots, so I was impressed! The place was clean and the AC was cold. A much needed reprieve from the August heart! Before I could finish preparing my coffee, Fedor called my name and had my bagel ready. I sat down and observed the staff and customers while I ate my breakfast. Fedor is a true asset to this place. He genuinely likes his job and it shows by the interactions he has with the customers. He's good at getting orders taken efficiently and in a friendly manner. Now.. There was a lady worker in an orange shirt who was not as personable. She walked around with her phone in her back pocket and seemed bothered by having to show up for work. When I left, I smiled and said thank you and she didn't even acknowledge me. But right outside the front door was Fedor. He acknowledged me and said have a nice day. I thanked him and got his name and let him know I really appreciated the kindness and professionalism and that I really did enjoy the meal. He's the type of employee every business should have! My order from Einstein Bros was quick and delicious. I ordered the bacon bagel brunch box and that comes with a blueberry muffin and twice baked hash brown. I selected the cheese Asiago bagel for egg bacon and cheese and it was a good choice. The blueberry muffin was delicious and moist. I didn't care for the twice baked hash brown. I feel the texture make have been not to my liking it was baked yet soggy maybe due to being hot and placed in a bag. I ordered the nova lox bagel for my mom and she enjoyed so much she ate all of it in one sitting. She usually only have of her bagel and saves the rest for another time. But she enjoyed it and the lox to cream cheese ratio was perfect. I got her strawberry strudel to sweet tooth and it was good. I will definitely order from them again. read more

UPDATE: still lame, now it seems they are understaffed. there's usually three staff behind the counter and an additional worker cleaning up and putting out coffee, napkins, etc. Perhaps ICE ran off the workers. Overflowing trash cans that are not getting emptied, tables that are not getting cleaned. No napkins or sugar, limited coffee. Thanks to the corporate overlords, I imagine, the tomatoes are sliced paper thin, and I only got one strand of onion for my nova salmon bagel. And, of course, even though I requested the bagel to be double toasted, and paid a tip, it was only toasted once. They have a HUGE variety of bagels. I tried their Asiago Bagel sandwich. I really enjoyed the freshness of their ingredients. The bagel was soft on the inside, tasty, hot and crispy on the outside. So this is the closest bagel spot to my parents. It has parking. It is clean. There is normally a line but moves pretty quick. But man, every time you go there it's something with the employees. They hate working there and they make it very apparent. Unfortunately it's been this way for many years. For example, I wanted to redeem my free rewards iced coffee but they couldn't figure out how to redeem; I said no big deal I won't take the coffee just the box of bagels and cream cheese (great deal). Come to find out they still charged me for the iced coffee which I couldn't tell bc the screen to display the total wasn't showing. No big deal, I came back for the iced coffee (I saw it on the printed receipt after leaving). Large iced coffee, I asked for a straw and there are none. This is a problem- how the heck am I supposed to drink a large full iced coffee while driving in my car. They looked puzzled as to why I was adamant about wanting a straw or At least expressing to customers prior before ordering. I asked for a hot coffee lid and cup and they seemed like I was being the most ridiculous customer. Blank stares. Eye rolling. Looks of confusion?... I said I wanted the cup so I could transfer the cold coffee into it and still be able to drink it while driving. They reluctantly Gave it to me. It's small things like this that have happened every time I go there that leads me to only give 3 stars. Besides that the coffee tastes fresh and so do the bagels (for Florida). Lo siento pero I'm a NYC/NJ girl so we have that good water for the bagels haha but Einstein is a solid choice for Florida bagels. They also have a nice variety of flavors and also sweets. The pickup station is not clearly marked, the employees kind of just shout your name for your order which gets confusing when it's loud and busy. The restaurant was decently clean, though I did find a fly hanging out by a window. The employees I encountered have subpar manners. Terrible place. They closed to renovate a few years ago but came back worse than before. Bagels are chewy. They don't even cut your bagel sandwich in half. Sadly, this Einstein's branch has the WORST manager, Octavio currently working here and my friends and I have been coming diligently for over a decade! He consistently has a negative attitude towards our group and overall customers. When he's been approached by various customers because, for ex: bagel shmear is too sparse from a normal serving, Cafe Latte is not hot enough or banana is spoiled from within peel. He gets agitated and tells the customers, "That's the way we serve it. I can't do anything about it" or "I can't heat up the Latte. You should drink it faster." Sadly, this manager is often rude and is quick to kick out customers and " ban" them from the restaurant. (Reminds me of Seinfeld's Soup Nazi, seriously!) On March 4, 2020, Octavio claimed that our 81- year old friend was "Causing a Disturbance" and called the local police to remove her (which 3 uniformed police officers did, though as nicely as they could). We have photos of her unfair, traumatic incident! I want to assure all you readers that this little, white haired 81- year old lady did NOT have any argument, altercation, raise her voice nor threaten anyone. If Einstein's has a store videotape, it would clearly verify my comment here as to NO negative interaction occurred by our friend. Our 81-year old friend has been unfairly BANNED from Einstein's, Sunny Isles Beach, FL since last week! Many of us long-term customers have contacted corporate headquarters repeatedly and they have taken our complaints. However, one week later, still NO feedback from administration other than saying that they are still investigating when we call Customer Service at corporate headquarters. One entire week??? As the alert on the application indicates many businesses are doing their best to stay afloat and provide service at the same time. However what I saw last Sunday at the parking lot of this business was truly an assault. The business is closed they are not open for service and about 4 to5 cars were parked on the westside parking spaces.
