I like their $6 bagel and brew special and thats a good deal. This time I got an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and an iced coffee. Both were a nice morning treat. Reminds of my many NYC mornings getting breakfast from a cart. I also took home some day old pumpernickel bagels. It was advertised 6 for $4.99 but I got a further discount on this, totally $3.77. I froze them and will enjoy them at home. I also tried their bialys this time and I got 3, which came out to $7.77! Holy moly! $2.59 each for a bialy?? I told the woman ringing me up they better be good! She promised they would be. I had one this morning for breakfast and they aren't bad, but not up to NYC snuff. I inquired at the cash register about how I can use it and after he confirmed my options, I moved to the back of the line to wait my turn. While I was waiting I saw several staff workers whispering and looking at me, with one shaking their head. After waiting a long time and getting to the front, I politely showed them my voucher and asked to redeem it for a coffee. The girl said the promotional period actually ended for that and another girl came over to explain that the Dr Pilates owner already came to pay the tab so they weren't honoring them anymore. Kind of unfortunate since I'd driven out of my way to come here for this but understandable that it's up to the discretion of the Dr Pilates owner I guess? What frustrated me was that they let me sit and wait that entire time fully knowing they weren't going to honor my voucher when I finally got to the front. There were at least 4-5 workers at the front counter at any given time. It would have been the courteous and professional thing to do to address me, explain the situation and let me know they couldn't honor it since they obviously knew right away (hence why they were whispering and looking at me earlier). Instead they made me feel like I was wrong for even asking for it and lowkey called me a liar for saying I was told the promotion lasted until closing (I was told at Dr Pilates that it went until Bruegger's closed at 2pm). Also they were even getting paid by Dr Pilates for these vouchers so I don't know why they were so unfriendly about me trying to use it? Bad vibes and unprofessionalism all around here. Will take my business elsewhere.

Bagel! Bagel! I enjoy Einstein Bros.'s Bagels! They are offering all new pumpkin bagels. You should come to know and love. The Pumpkin menu has full of fresh baked pumpkin flavored bagels. Pumpkin cream cheese bagel poppers, pumpkin muffin, the new pumpkin scone, and pumpkin latte which are available in hot or iced, sweets and beverages for autumn appetite. I got Pumpkin cream cheese bagel poppers. The cream cheese glaze is thick, sweet, and sticky. The smell is amazing. They have all the sugary and sticky of a donut, but they retain the bready inside of a bagel. Pumpkin muffins also offer an option with sweet cream on top. These muffins have a delicious top that's just the right amount of moist inside. Be careful though, they're addictive! If you like foods (especially pumpkin) this is a must try item from Einstein's! read more

I should have just drove to Encinitas to get bagels from Garden State which is excellent, but this is the nearest bagel place (minus another dump next to the Rubios off Bernardo Heights Road and the 15). Went there this morning and the guy behind me had a $4.00 coupon for a dozen bucket. I ordered a dozen bucket too and asked if they would honor the coupon. The guy who helped me said yes, but then the manager (Cathy or Kathy dont know how she spells it) said they had no coupons running! I said, the gentleman behind me has one and she told me that I had to bring my own in!!! Okay, so thats it, will never go there again. It basically was a cheese pizza who got a very small amount put on it. The cheese however was generous. As was the extra sauce. Unfortunately it meant that the topping sorta slid off the pizza a bit... but that's my fault for not carrying it perfectly. I won't blame them for that. The crust is a bit above average but that's not a huge deal because pizza places around here tend to have meh crust. The pizza was pretty heavy though and they really do include a generous amount of cheese! Not sure I'd come back for pizza as the topping amount was a bit sad.
