I love this place and what they stand for. My brother in law is a recovering alcoholic and substance abuser. He's been clean and sober for over 20 years and is an RN . The food quality and quantity are on point and the prices are moderate. My husband rates the Southern Eggs Benedict among the best he's ever had. My Breakfast Plate scrambled eggs were soft and creamy and the large biscuit with honey butter was worth every carb and calorie. The coffee is excellent and we even splurged on their sweet-and-salty kitchen sink cookie. As if that isn't enough, DV8 Kitchen is a second chance employer for people in recovery and everyone we encountered was pleasant and hard-working. The real kicker here were the scrambled eggs - the texture was so strange. They were like a dry gritty texture that I had never experienced before, so much so I asked how they were prepared. They didn't appear to look any different than any other scrambled eggs so we were all caught off guard tasting them. The server checked on how they were prepared and said they were cut with milk on the griddle.. which I also do with scrambled eggs so it made the texture even more bizarre. We went with our waitress's recommendation and ordered the Brekkie Bowl with home fries, turkey sausage, and a sunny-side-up egg, it was very tasty. Everything was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The flavors all came together so well, especially with that runny egg mixed in. We also got the Go Getta biscuit and gravy meal, which was hearty, comforting, and exactly what you want from a brunch spot. You can tell the food is made to order. It was somewhat average on the taste, but it satisfied our hunger. The restaurant itself was clean and nearly empty when we arrived, which made for a quick experience. I could be wrong. I liked my donut although it was a little messy to eat . My friend on the other hand didn't care for the cronut. The coffee though is always on point and it didn't disappoint. As for customer service they really are on point. I've been there a total of three times so far and every time they've been friendly and patient. Plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. I think after 1 pm they do donuts made to order (I didn't see the sign when we first walked in until after we placed our order).
