It's been a few years since I lost stopped in to this coffee/bagel shop, which used to be part Caribou...but now it's solely Einstein Bagels! The bagels and coffee are excellent! Today I enjoyed their Oktoberfest Egg Sandwich. Served on a pretzel bagel, it came with a beer cheese shmear, swiss cheese, deli mustard, cage free egg with ham and bacon! Delish! Literally horrible. Went through drive thru and they kept forgetting things. I asked for an Asiago bagel and they gave me a plain. Didn't have half the stuff on it. Lettuce was horrible and gross. I placed an online order for this location on 11/22 to be picked up at 12:30. I get there and am told they don't have the bagels I ordered... all they can do is swap them all for plain... I asked if they can just make them now, I don't mind waiting. They said no we're closing at 2. He goes to talk to manager and they can't issue a refund there, I have to go through app.... I leave upset and try to call store to talk to manager directly, guess what nobody will answer the phone like they're avoiding calls. Awful service at this location and poor management! read more

Service was horrible. We ordered pick up in drive thru but it was closed. My boyfriend went inside to get our food no big deal. The problem is the following; There was 4 people working, 3 kids in the kitchen, 1 at the register, there's a line of customers being helped at the register meanwhile my boyfriend is waiting for someone to approach him, none of the 3 kids just standing there in the kitchen approached him the girl at the register left the line of people to help him. He comes out with the food and I'm confused because we ordered an iced coffee but there was no ice in the coffee, it would've been fine IF it was communicated to us but it wasn't. I go back inside, after standing there for 5 minutes with the coffee in my hand FINALLY one of the kids in the back decided to be of help and do their job. Well, come to find out and only because I asked, their ice machine is broken. Their drive thru is closed, broken ice machine and to top it off only 1 person actually doing their job. Which leaves you to wonder why is the drive thru closed when clearly they're not busy enough to be doing something ? We also got home and realized our plain bagels with shmear were given to us on thin bagels as well as one of our egg bagels. I sent an email requesting a refund for the horrible experience, specially because altogether my boyfriend paid about $45, no one ever emailed us back but we did receive $10 back randomly. I worked customer service for 10 years and if there was ever something we ran out of, it was always communicated to the customer. Do better . read more

Lately, I've been coming to Einstein's for several reasons. First, a friend gave me a gift certificate here. Secondly, Einstein's lets me add honey to my coffee for free. Other places like McDonald's and Caribou are now charging extra for that. Thirdly, I often receive receipts that give one the opportunity to fill out a survey and get two free bagels with their orders. Last, but not least, the employees here are friendly and usually give me good customer service. There have been times I've had to wait a few minutes to place an order. Many fast food places nowadays seem to give preference to drive-thru orders. I also wish they were open later than 2 PM. Other than that, I'm pleased with Einstein's. read more

I generally don't review fast food places because we all know they're just not good but this was absolutely not a good experience at all. This location has always had issues from being understaffed to just plain slow for legitimately no reason. There are 5 people in the kitchen with 1 car in front of me and it takes 10 minutes to toast a bagel? And it's burnt to hell? I don't get it. They even cut down on the drink menu and just do basics now and service is still terrible. I don't understand why this location has such bad reviews! Our experience was a pleasant one. Upon walking in, we both commented on how nice both the exterior and interior were. It looks like it's been recently updated and has a sleek, yet comfortable and cute style. The girl at the register was friendly and waited patiently while we bumbled around deciding what we wanted. At 1 pm on a Friday, the place was nearly empty, and the wait time for our food and coffee was not long. The menu is, of course, the same as all the other locations, and we noticed no variance in the quality or price of the food between this location and the recently-closed Golden Valley one. We had the Herbivore, the Hummus Veg Out, an iced latte, and a mocha. The Herbivore (your choice of bagel with garlic & herb cream cheese, arugula, tomato, and cucumber) is my usual, and we both agree it's our favorite thing on the menu. Boyfriend liked his Hummus Veg Out, but wished he'd gone with the Herbivore this time as well. The only time I can be persuaded to drink Caribou coffee is when it's my only option to accompany an Einstein Bros bagel, but it's just not good. My iced latte was, therefore, about as good as can be expected. Kinda bitter and watery, but it got the job done. I will miss getting to make quick morning runs to the Golden Valley location for the Herbivore and Einstein's dark roast! Overall, that location was better. But this one will do now that it's closed. I still haven't successfully ordered from this location because they just can't seem to get this "food business" thing right. First time I ordered from them they messed up the order and delivered an egg sandwich on a sugar bagel... which should be a crime. The second time they changed their delivery fee to almost $12, making the total for a single bagel almost $20. No thank you. I will be taking my business elsewhere. This location is really gone downhill. It's a shame that Einstein brothers doesn't open more locations throughout the Minnesota area. It's very frustrating when the staff is super rude and incoherent and the drive-through takes a million years. They need to send their barista's back to learn how to make coffee because this is the third time in a row where I've ordered a mocha and it is definitely not a mocha. It's very aggravating because it's not like I want to go back there to get a refund because it would be a 20 minute drive for me. I thought this was a decent place until today. My friends and I bought outside food plenty of times to eat here and nobody says anything, not even the staffs; until today we were approached rudely by one of the superior/team member with clip board. Not an "sorry" or "excuse me" was mentioned when we were approached and talked down upon. When one of my friend asked if we get rid of our outside food, can we still stay to study; the staff person was quite hesitant but gave us a notion that we were no longer welcome. Nothing on the front door or Windows states no outside food allowed. Not to mention that on St. Patrick's day I bought a drink but didn't realize 10 minutes later that they had a buy one get one free. Asked the team member if I can get my free drink but was denied. This is the slowest Caribou Coffee I've ever been to. The most frustrating part is watching the employees move with absolutely no urgency whatsoever while you're waiting for your food or beverage. I mean, yeah - it's just coffee. I don't expect them to break their necks getting my order. But waiting for 5-10 minutes at the drive thru window at 630am? Unacceptable. Also, the cold press here is awful. It's great at every other location. But here? It's got no flavor at all. The one saving grace is the employees are nice. I walked in and there was one staff member working on drink orders. The other two staff members I saw were having a conversation. My husband and I stood at the counter for probably 5 mins before I decided to notion to one of them we were ready to order. One of them put his finger up like he was telling me to "hold on a sec". Took me by surprised. He walked over and said "Sorry, we were discussing something about the store." SMH. After taking our order, we waited another 15, possibly more to get out food. Pretty nice location, I've never had a bad experience with the employees and normally it's clean. They have some comfortable chairs and nice areas to work at. Depending on the time of day you might be waiting a while for your drinks and they close pretty early which,is inconvenient. read more

We've been going to Einstein Bros. for years and love the bagels. Recently the two Plymouth locations were closed, so we tried this new location. I agree with the other reviewers that they are SLOW. They are also trying to save money by scrimping on the cream cheese. It's not possible to use less cream cheese than they do at this location.
