I always stop by Dekalb Market Hall after shopping at Trader Joes, and the crepes from Eight Turn Crepe is the perfect sweet treat to finish my grocery run! They have a variety of sweet and savory crepes to choose from, including creme brûlée crepe, Harajuku fruit crepe, and even Philly cheesesteak crepe! You're also welcome to customize your own crepe with different fruits/proteins, drizzles and toppings. Each crepe is freshly made right in front of you, made with 100% gluten free rice flour. It is basically happiness rolled into a cone. ＊Strawberry Nutella Crepe $12 A classic crepe flavor that could hardly go wrong. It was filled with a generous spread of Nutella, chocolate custard, whipped yogurt, and slices of fresh strawberries. Sweet, chocolatey, fruity. We were absolutely amazed by the paper-thin and slightly crispy crepe. ＊Matcha Stripe Chocolate Crepe $13 A combination of strawberries, matcha custard, whipped yogurt, chocolate truffles, finished off with chocolate drizzle and a sprinkle of crushed hazelnuts. While the matcha was overpowered by the chocolate flavor, I did enjoy the velvety and rich truffles studded between the crepe layers. read more

Strawberry Nutella crepe was to be expected, pretty good, could've done with more toppings/filling though. The creme brulee was star of the show, very creamy and the seared top was definitely unique! Around $13 each was average priced deal for the items, good to try if you're in the area and craving it read more

It was $13 before tax and it wasn't worth it at all. The crepe itself didn't taste fresh and it wasn't warm at all. The yogurt cream wasn't sweet and a bit sour, it was the best part! However, I felt like they didn't give enough of the yogurt cream. There was also too little strawberries. I wouldn't get it again. read more

I used to live in the area and had to come back for a crêpe from this restaurant. I got the Thai one and it did not disappoint. It's so delicious. It took me down memory lane. You can get sweet or savory or one of their specialties. Their flower is made from rice so naturally gluten-free super bonus. It's easy to find and there are a few stool seats, but normally you take it away to sit in the common area which is really fun when busy. The whole food hall has great lighting chock full of eye candy. The service is not exceptionally friendly, but it doesn't matter because I've never had a crêpe like this. It's worth getting off the subway to get one and then continue on your way. read more

Remember to bring a student ID for the 10% discount. Overall the crepes were delicious and deceptively small--the custard cream, fruit, chocolate, and various other add-ins definitely stack up to make a hefty dessert. The crepe itself is made of rice flour, so it's 100% gluten free, and they have a variety of fruits including lychee and raspberry. I loved the variety of nuts (especially the hazelnuts), and the asian twist with add-ins like pocky and matcha custard cream. The crepe does tend to lean on the sweeter side, but not so much so that it offends my Chinese grandma taste buds. Service can be a little slow and getting the crepes out of the cup is always a bit of a struggle, but overall this is another solid place to frequent when you're visiting Dekalb Market! read more

Great staff and my son loved his yuzu milkshake (they were out of lychee). My other son had a crepe with mango and lychee with Nutella. All was good except the mango was inedible. Rock hard and almost as sour as a lemon. But he ate around it and loved his treat! read more

Love stopping by here when I'm in the area and craving a crepe. This location is in a food hall and I really appreciate the cups they put the crepes in if you're ordering for carry out. I love that that they have a sweet and savory menu to choose from. Prices range from $10-$16, with the savory crepes costing more. I also noticed that the have the option to add ice cream to your crepe which is cool. I always opt for a sweet crepe and I'm never disappointed. Today I got the Dulce de Leche crepe and she was divine. Already excited to head back for another one. read more

Crepe cravings, i love crepes. I have been wanting to try this spot out for a while and im so glad i was able to this time. i went with a friend and we each got a crepe. we got the Harajuku Fruit Cocktail and the Lychee Valentine. Both of these had a custard cream filling with fruits. they were both delicious but the Harajuku crepe had more fruit variety that made it more fun to eat. The Lychee one was great and the surprise was that it had a hint of rose water added, it was such a unique flavor. this spot is great as you can also see them making the crepe for you and it didn't take too long. I have to return to try their savory crepes as well! read more

Just the perfect lil' sweet treat to end your meal. Located in the Dekalb Food Market, there are so many stalls and so many options. The food hall is literally your oyster. Anyways, I have been wanting to try this stall for some time and it is so convenient since I have so many friends around DTB. Since we were already going to meet up here post dinner, I decided to get myself a treat. I tried the creme brelee crepe and it was SO satisfying. It definitely exceeded all of my expectations. The crepe was both crispy and gooey. The custard was sweet, but not too sweet. I loved how they glazed the top with a little bit of sugar and topped it off with a strawberry. I definitely want to try their other crepes and add ice cream. This is THE stall to go to for all of your dessert needs!! read more

OMGoodness. I haven't had a decent crepe since I've been trying to stay Gluten Free. Not until I saw this sign.. (Literally. Big red letters on the window.. 'naturally gluten-free.') I was glad that I asked, because not everything was Gluten Free, as it may have appeared, but there was enough options to make it a difficult decision! Once your order is placed, you can watch it made in front of your eyes, and Idk about you, but that makes my appreciation jump! Fresh strawberries, creamy nutella. What more indulgence could you want?? AND a simple tear away wrapper that ensures all the goodness goes in your mouth, and not all over your hands. Can't wait to come back for more!! read more

Today we were wondering around while craving some dessert and we found this crepe spot as the perfect one. Unfortunately I got disappointed after trying the banana nut one because I never tasted the Nutella also they use a plastic and cardboard container that makes it easy to take it to go but really hard to eat I went with a friend and she got the dulce the leche one and she loved it tho, so maybe the Nutella flavor it's not the one to pick. Service was nice and quick but I didn't like they don't let you skip the tip option, it feels like you're forced to give them tip ???? Tasty crepe! They offer a 10% student discount and I like how they also have a customizable menu where you can create your own crepe - sweet, savory, maybe even both. Eight Turn Crêpe turns heads, and for good reason. Whether you're looking to have a savory meal or to satisfy your sweet tooth, this place has a handful of options to choose from. Even if that's not enough, you can fully customize your own crepe. I decided to put my own sweet crepe together: I threw together bananas, raspberries, almonds, custard cream, yogurt, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. The ice cream is $3 extra, but it's completely worth it. Even with a custom order, it seems that they know how to give you an enjoyable ratio of ingredients. Everything came together for a light, creamy, and chilly experience. I enjoyed the fruit especially: they appeared very fresh and they gave the crepe the subtle sweetness it needs. The crepe is also prepared fresh, which is especially apparent in its fluffiness. Generally, I would vouch for Eight Turn Crêpe when it comes to one of the best dessert options you can find at the Dekalb Food Market. read more

I usually reserve crepes for sweet desserts, but this time I tried out a savory crepe from here. It was one of the best choices I've made regarding crepes. There were several options but it seemed like they were promoting a new menu item - the Tokyo Pork Belly Crepe. The taste was amazing, thanks to the soft and somewhat bouncy texture of the crepe complementing the ingredients inside. It was on the sweeter side of wraps because of the Japanese Mayo inside. Overall, it served as a very filling and satisfying lunch meal. I'm glad I chose this crepe wrap over a typical sandwich that might have had similar ingredients inside. read more

This strawberry banana crepe from Eight Turn Crepe at Dekalb Market Hall inside City Point Brooklyn is definitely a head turner. It only costs $8 and not only is it super flavorful, but it's filling as well. I love the carton they put it in, which makes it easier to eat and makes less of a mess (in my opinion). It also can help if you need to eat on the go! They offer a wide variety of both sweet and savory crepes here, so there's something for everyone! read more

10/10 heavenly crepe that shit had me busting all over it to the point where the Japanese mayo was no longer mayo it was my bust . I lost a whole generation of kids because of that food edit: I just bit into my second custardy delicious crepe and it was so good that I immediately erupted, producing a flood of creamy crème brûlée on top of the crepe...... it instantly caramelized into a crunchy topping to my cream. Fire crepes, I left a puddle near the elevator. Much love (juice) from order 101. read more

These are Japanese crepes. I wasn't sure what that meant, but evidently they use rice flour instead of wheat flour, which keeps that dastardly gluten away from those of us who view it as the downfall of modern society. Perhaps my palate isn't as sensitive as it could be, but I couldn't tell the difference between this and a wheat crepe. I ordered a ham and cheese special they had going on. The French name of this Japanese crepe made it sound exotic to my plebeian ears, but my dreams of a fancy feast were slightly dashed when I watched him pull out a squeeze bottle of French's dijon mustard (hence the French name?) as he made it. Overall, Eight Turn is solid though. The dude who took my order and made my crepe was nice enough, and my meal was fast, affordable, and solid. They even threw in some seaweed snacks as part of the lunch special. I'd do it again, although I'd spring for the famous BLT next time. It must be famous for a reason. read more

My wallet wants me to dock stars. I watched them make the crepe as I waited. Swirl of custard, swirl of yogurt. A few strategically placed berries. I felt like I was getting about $4 worth of food. But then they wrapped it up and handed it over, and logic gave way to emotion as I took my first bite. The rich custard, the fresh berries, the light crepe. Perfection. And so I realized, life isn't always about stuffing your face. Sometimes you need to embrace the light side and the pure joy of flavor. That doesn't sound like me, but here I am giving them 5 stars. read more

I am not going to lie to you, truth is important and I will give it to you like it is: I .. LOVE.. THIS.. PLACE! So much, so, so, so much. First of all their crepes are gluten-free! Be still my heart. Second, all crepes are freakin' fantastic. Savory or sweet they couldn't be better if they tried. My favorite Savory is the Lox crepe and I am in love with their Banana Strawberry dessert crepe. When I am in Brooklyn I make it a point to visit - they are reasonably priced and fresh. Last time I went was in the middle of winter storm Ezekiel so yes, I would tread through any weather for these delicious treats. P.S. Please open one in downtown Orlando. read more

They serve the crêpe in a shape of a cone wrapped in paper. Did I still make a mess? yes. Was it worth it? Totally. They have tons of sweet and savory options. The crepes were way over priced($15) for one, terrible quality. Much better desert in the area. Do not go here, it is a scam. The crepe was cold, and had a snake skin texture to it which was disgusting. It took about 5 minutes to make one crepe even though they were not busy. There is only 2 people working here and clearly do not know how to make crepes, again, in the area much better dessert for much less. read more

I read about Eight Turn Crepe on Tasting Table and, since I happened to be nearby yesterday, decided to try it for dinner (after browsing their online menu and drooling over it). Turns out it happened to be their grand opening day! The menu is a great mix of savory and sweet crepes, most of them in the $6-9 range. They also have coffee, tea, and milkshakes. I decided to go with the tofu edamame salad crepe, which came stuffed with tofu, spinach leaves, edamame, carrots, hard-boiled egg, green beans, and pistachio bits. I loved how there were plenty of tofu cubes and hard-boiled egg chunks - the "meat" of the salad. I also really liked how the pistachios added some crunchiness. One thing I didn't like, though, was the dressing/sauce. The menu description says "Eight Turn sesame dressing" and "Eight Turn tofu sauce," but I didn't pick up any hint of sesame, and the sauce tasted too mayonnaise-y for me. The place itself is super tiny - there's the counter where you order, and then a very small counter in front of the window where there's standing room for about 2 people. It'd be nice if they added a stool or two. Also, be warned: if you're taking your crepe to eat on the go (which you probably will be, given the lack of seating), take plenty of napkins. Your crepe will get messy towards the end. Conclusion: Lots of cool crepe toppings, both savory and sweet. The savory crepes make a good lunch or light dinner. I definitely want to come back to try their sweet crepes! read more

I happened to pass by on my way to Balthazar and then realizing this place has been on my bookmarks for a while now, heres my chance to come try the place out. Got plans with my girls tonight and needed something for my 4 year old when I have to tell her the heartbreaking news of leaving her home with her dad tonight, this would be perfect. Store so small you can actually see the crepes made right next to you. I was literally watching the man spread the batter on the griddle with his little T-shaped tool, counting to see if it was 8 turns wondering maybe thats how they got their name, LOL. Anyways, Kaylen loves berries so I just went for the Mixed Berries Parfait. Raspberries, sliced strawberries, blueberries, yogurt and cream were rolled up in the crepe like a flower, how cute? Oh and topped off with granola just like an actual parfait, they even have to-go bags that their crepes fits right into, just tear the sides and take 'em back out when you're ready to eat. read more

Good not great. Seeing all the great reviews and delicious pics, I was excited to try this place out. Employees are friendly and helpful. There is some counter seating inside and a small bench outside. It's a small space, a grab and go type joint. I like the decor of this place, very colorful and fun. The strawberries, bananas, Nutella, sliced almonds, and whipped cream in our crepe was delicious. The crepe itself was OK. It had good flavor but was on the thicker side, almost pancake-like. If it was slightly thinner, this place would be a solid 4 stars. I appreciate that their crepes are wrapped up in a cone-like fashion, so you can enjoy your crepe while walking around. You can also add toppings/extras for $1-$3 such as cheese, mushrooms, etc. (on savory crepes) or Pocky, ice cream, nuts, etc. (on sweet crepes). I ordered the Matcha Stripe Chocolate: a sweet crepe filled with yogurt, matcha sauce, chocolate bits, crushed hazelnuts, and strawberries...I added green tea ice cream. BOOM-- HEAVENLY.
