Ehrlich Pest Control does not provide an email address and does not answer message sent through the message center on their website. The only way I was able to communicate with them was via their phone tree, and their billing department had limited hours. It was frustrating communicating with them. I had billing questions which i was never able to get explained to me, and then wanted to cancel my service. Doing both was very difficult. I would not work with them again because they are too difficult to communicate with. To provide greater detail, I was unaware that their standard pest control contract does not include spraying for mosquitoes - this was not explained to me when I initially signed up for the service, even though I specifically stated that I wanted to spray for mosquitoes. I felt like I was overcharged for both the pest control and the subsequent spraying for mosquitoes, and even though I've sprayed monthly, every time I go outside, I am attacked by mosquitoes. I live in suburban northern Virginia. When I asked the technician to explain the billing to me, he was unable to, and directed me to call Ehrlich, but I was unable to get through to anyone. Then when I wanted to cancel both services several months later, I had to make multiple phone calls and I sent multiple messages. All of my emails bounced and the messages I sent via the website went unanswered. I finally got a hold of a representative who told me she cancelled the service, but then 2 more people called me back during the week to convince me to keep the service. I insisted on cancelling. Then 2 weeks later, I received a robocall stating that Ehrlich pest control would come out to my house in 2 days and if this was a bad time, I should call their phone number. I then spent the next hour trying to get through to a human on that same number and finally reached someone who promised me that she cancelled the service. While on hold, I emailed Ehrlich and of course my email bounced (I responded to an email I had received from them with a receipt, and it was not a Do Not Reply email address). So I'm hopeful but not confident that my service has been cancelled. There's also no way to cancel service on their website. They simply make it too difficult to communicate with them. I do not want to make that much effort to communicate with a company and will not use them again. read more

I unfortunately inherited service with this company after they bought out a local company that I had contracted with previously. I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. We have recurring service with them to check termite baits, but they never seem to understand what service we have when they visit (this most recent time, they called me multiple times to be let into the house to conduct service that we don't even have). I once needed them to come out to address an issue with ants in our light switches; their website claimed that they would offer a multi-faceted approach to addressing the issue, but the person that came out just sprayed chemicals all over the inside of our house (including over my dog's bed, toys, etc.). They charged an exorbitant amount for this. When I called to have the issue addressed, they only solution they could offer me was a RECURRING version of the same spraying that I did not want (for a fee). Strongly recommend against working with this company. read more

I had used their services years before and it was ok albeit their techs sometimes had to reschedule last minute but the treatment was effective. Thus, when I had an issue again I contacted Ehrlich. Firstly, my appointment was for September 6th between 8AM-12PM. They never showed up so by 12PM, I had contacted their online support chat system to reschedule with a tech who was not the original tech. Never got an email or message from the online chat service when my next appointment would be. At 2:32PM On the same day, the missing tech called and said he would be able to show up. By the time it's 8PM, my tenants messaged me asking when the tech would show up. Obviously I'm furious that the tech never showed up when he said he would and even more so when I'm charged $255 the next morning for an appointment that never happened. I contacted Ehrlich again to ask for a rescheduled appointment and explain to the customer rep that the tech did not show up and had the audacity to charge me. It was escalated by a manager who said they would contact me. They never did so I called back yesterday and was told a manager would contact me by the end of the day and they didn't. So I called again to request a refund from the billing department and they told me they would have to investigate it on their end and it will take 2-4 weeks. They're saying the appointment happened because I was charged even though their tech clearly lied or they did a different building by mistake. I'm out of money and my time and will never use this company again. I strongly advise you to avoid at all costs. I had a hornet's nest in my tree, literally hanging by a twig. The first visit was a 5 hour window time frame for someone to show up. The technician still left part of the nest in the tree because he couldn't get it down. Didn't offer to come back. I called JC Ehrlich again and the guy came out a second time. They don't carry equipment apparently to cut stuff down. What a joke. I took matters into my own hands and went out and bought a pruner myself. $300 for a service that didn't resolve the issue to its completion and missed work. Don't waste your time. The call center was pleasant to talk to but professionalism with removal of the hornet nest-unacceptable. Will never recommend this company to anyone! read more

If I could give them zero, I would. They were supposed to come out on Tuesday. Nothing. I called, they said they'd have the specialist text me, and nothing. I called later that night to tell them no one showed. They tried to get me another appt the following day. But weren't sure. They'd call me back. No call back. I called today to try again to reschedule, they said someone was "on their way." Funny, we never booked anything, but I said, great. And guess what? Yup, no one showed. Screw this scam of a company. No one should pay them any mind (and certainly not give them any money). That money will go their competitor(s). BE WARNED. read more

Long story short: I got an invoice for a service I never received since I cancelled it beforehand. On May 13th I called to request an inspection service for fumigation, the customer representative said the technician would come on May 15th, however, on the 14th I called to cancel said inspection since my building offered complimentary fumigation services. I made sure they cancelled the visit and I asked for a confirmation number of said cancellation but the customer representative didn't provide one. Guess what I found on my mail recently? An invoice for June!!. I just sent them an email to request to cancel said invoice and, in their defense, they replied immediately saying it has been cancelled. I'll follow up on that. Still, after reading the reviews, it doesn't seem that this is a company you can trust. By the way, the inspection would've cost $269, plus a monthly fee of $49 despite the fact that some months they wouldn't come. I asked for a silverfish fumigation. read more

This is by far the worst company we've ever dealt with. Like the other reviews state, they sell you a bill of goods but do nothing of the sort. Our home recently became infested with mice. Ehrlich said they would spray stuff, put special kinds of poison in the walls, and block all the entry points the mice are coming in. They did none of that! The first visit all they did was lay sticky traps. We could have just bought those at Home Depot! This did not work, the mice must be too smart for them. We called a second time and they put "poison" down. Now the mice are out and have spread to more rooms in the house than they have before! Don't bother trying to get your money back either. They just pass the buck along from person to person in hopes that you will just give up. Like I said, this is perhaps the worst company we've ever dealt with. **Updated Review** So since I reached out to corporate, the District Manager reached out to us and the company sent out a tech to clean up the useless, dangerous poison they put down. Then they refunded us the $47 that they had incorrectly charged us to begin with. So all in all, we still dropped over $300 on this company for absolutely NOTHING. I added one star to this review for corporate reaching out on here. But that is it. NEVER and I mean NEVER use this company. As I said before, they are by far the worst company we've ever dealt with. Our condo in central DC contracted with this company. They showed up and placed the initial traps. For months, we've been paying them a monthly maintenance fee for which they were to return and place new traps as the old ones filled. They've never reappeared. If I could give them zero stars I would. When my regular pest control company, Connors, was purchased by Ehrlich I expected the same service to continue. But it did not. Good luck getting anyone on the phone. Good luck getting anyone to call you back. Good luck getting a technician to come out in between scheduled quarterly service dates. This is only the second review of a business I have ever done. The first one for a grooming salon, was positive. This is my first negative review. The management at the Capitol Heights/Beltsville, Md. Ehrlich branch cancelled my account because one of their exterminators misrepresented himself when he said he came to my home, when he did not. I called the manager and explained I was home all day and that no one showed up. Also, as additional proof that an exterminator never showed up, no one is seen on my three video cameras around my house, which all would have picked up the exterminator spraying. Instead of sending someone back out to my home to do the spraying, which one supervisor promised they would do, the company instead cancelled my account out of frustration ON THEIR END. Now, of course, they already knew I was going to cancel because who wants to work with a business that is not trustworthy. So beware consumers, use another exterminating company. Not Ehrlich! Now, I will also alert the 526 members of my neighborhood association, my 8,800 Facebook friends and followers and 6,203 Twitter followers. read more

In our opinion, worst experience is a long time! This could be long but lets make it easy for you and cut tot the Chase. We had a problem 2 year ago call Connor based on a recommendation. They were wonderful. Ehrlich apparently bought the business. Nothing good to say here. Tried calling three times and got their automated system, no way to leave a message, emailed them four times got error messages, then filled out their "contact us" on their web page twice. Never got any response after 10 days. They did send a bill for what they thought we wanted, expended service.Nope! The technician showed up and did the service. Email them back on the report of service and got the same result, error. Not sure what to do now. Perhaps there is no company just a server that sends out bills...... read more

I was a long time Connor's customer and quite content with their service. The moment Ehrlich took over customer service plummeted. I have a yearly contract and made my Q1 appointment three months in advance. No phone call the day before to say when they're showing up and then they show up completely unannounced! I've attempted to call, emai, and tweet requests for a call back to discuss my account and no response. Stay far away! I'm just trying to get out of the contract at this point and get the heck away from this terrible company! read more

This is by far the worst customer service I've ever seen by a company in my life! I scheduled to have a specialist come out to our home and on TWO occasions he never showed up. I called customer service multiple times to get an ETA on the specialist and every time, the representative said they would call me back and never did. The representatives also mentioned multiple times that they were reaching out to management about the issue so either they didn't actually do as they said (because I never got a call from management either) or management plainly doesn't care. After rescheduling for a second time it was explained to me by a supervisor that there was a hold on my account regarding a late payment that had been paid years ago. The supervisor didn't seem apologetic over the lack of communication and the time we had wasted waiting for two days. I would not recommend this company at all. Would give 0 stars if I could. Go with Orkin, not these clowns. read more

BEWARE. In the NoVa area, this company recently acquired a very good local provider named Connors Pest Control. By comparison, Ehrlich is terrible they do not care about the customer at all. They miss appointments without even calling and they fail to make promised callbacks. They did not solve the pest problem (sprickets) in our case. It is a real shame what Ehrlich has done to a good local company. We terminated our services with them today after multiple promised Manager callbacks did not materialize. read more

This company took over Connors Pest Control, a company I had service with for years. I didn't sign a contract with Ehrlich, but they claim they came to my home on January 18 and April 18. I was never contacted in advance to be home and open my garage for the usual service. If they did show up, all they could have done was spray around my townhome. Today, I took Ehrlich's robo call and was immediately placed on hold for 50 minutes and I finally had to hang up. I called them back and I finally got to talk to someone in accounts receivables. In order to not ruin my credit rating, I just gave Ehrlich $204 for two quick spray around my townhome. They offered to have a manager call me. After reading the other comments I knew that would be futile. I need to find another pest control company! I'm not from San Francisco! I'm from Alexandria, VA. read more

Giving one star is me lying. I used Conner's Pest Control for over 20 years, sadly they were purchased by Ehrlich Pest Control. I had an annual contract. Don't believe the post card they send you with a date they will come to your home. Don't take the day off to wait between 8-5pm, they never show. If you call to ask where they are, you sit on phone for 15 mins for someone to tell you they'll be there by 5pm and will call you before they show...never happens. Reschedule and they still can't get to your home when stated. They missed a dead rodent in crawl space..oops tech didn't see it, but I could. How was the pest control service, STINKS like a dead mouse. What kind of a company are you running - is the whole thing a scam? Never showed up for their appointment at 4:00 and we rescheduled our entire day around them because you have to be out of the house for four hours after treatment. Now it is 5:00 on Friday and everyone has gone home and my house is filled with fleas. So some woman in PA in a call center says they had me on the schedule between 3:00 - 5:00 and then puts me on hold for 15 minutes and comes back and says well your specialist is on the schedule but Kelly (my account person evidently) never reached out to him and so you have no appointment. Have I mentioned that it is Friday afternoon and now it's 5:30. Then she said I have two other people I can reach out to who might be able to come today but of course it's Friday afternoon. Now I am on the phone with customer service and on hold again. I have already paid these people and they cannot even schedule and show up for an appointment. Will post more soon. I had a kid bring carpet beetles to my home and because I worked for Ehrlich many years ago I thought I would call them for an estimate. I know they're higher in cost than most but I remember them being reliable. So I call and get a $359.99 quote from the sales person who called me back. They said he would have to come out to confirm and when they showed up it was the same person who trained me for my sales position. We caught up and had a walk through my home where he confirmed they were carpet beetles. He gave me $59.99 off since he knew me and we set the appointment after he sold me the service plan where I would have someone come out every so often to treat for pest. This company is beyond a scam. I am truly disgusted; the county or state should shut this company down. They illegally came onto my property and sprayed toxic chemicals WEEKS after I called them because they bought a reputable pest company called Conner Pest Control that I had used in the past. I initially called regarding setting some mouse traps in my attic. I do not allow and never have let anyone spray my property with toxic chemicals. A technician could not come when I was able to get off work so I cancelled the appointment. The salesperson Craig was actually pretty rude when I told him I wanted to cancel the appointment (it legitimately did not fit my schedule, thank God I did not let these people into my home!!). Then three weeks later someone illegally enters my property without my permission, sprays toxic chemicals around my house, then sends me a bill for $279.00. We've had year-round contracts with Ehrlich for more than 5 years now -- maybe as much as 10 years. They are very responsive -- in fact, they're VERY responsive. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their monthly costs keep going up and up and up. The technician who has been coming to our house is Kenny, and I can't say enough good things about him. He's very professional, pleasant, polite, thorough, and engaging. Great company, has never disappointed me. Have had them since 2008 when we noticed that we had mice in the basement (and probably elsewhere in the house). They are the best and always very responsive. Mice were gone in no time. In the summer and fall, we often have problems with wasps nesting in the eaves of the house or chimney or vents, or, some other place where they soon gain access to the inside of the house. We have wasp allergies and my panic calls to JC Ehrlich always were answered promptly and service was most of the time same day--if not possible on the same day, for sure the next day (no matter if it was the weekend!). Kenny is our technician and always friendly and very helpful. He is the *best* and fearless in getting rid of all types of yucky, bothersome critters and insects in and around the house while being mindful of our dog and kids. I really hope he stays with JC Ehrlich for years to come. He's the kind of employee you do not want to lose!! read more

I called this company a few weeks ago about a wasp problem in and around my home.mr.Joell Evans was my residential specialist talk up a very con game saying what his was about customer service and work detail what a bunch of B. S. the service tech came to my home gave me a halve a** inspection for wasp spray a can PTwasp- freeze in my vents which I later found out its not for indoor use and left me a can of this poison spray for me to use in my home . 1 day later I continue to see wasp I call this company back twice to have them give me a full home inspection with a ladder to check my roof and top of my home each time they stood me up never call or show up for service.I then call Mr. Joell Evans to complain about there service oly to have this guy hang the phone up on me.
