They also enjoyed the hot chocolate, saying that it would be easy to make it too watery but what they had was not like such, and had enough thickness and chocolate flavor. For me, the brisket skillet had an okay amount of brisket, but there were a lot more of other ingredients, from sweet potatoes to jalapeños, and so on. Those other ingredients defined the flavor mainly, and the flavor as a result was a bit all over the place. The avocado pieces were the saving grace because they neutralized the flavor a bit. Overall I still enjoyed the dish. It seems like they have a pretty large menu so I would be down to try them again to see what else they had. I tried a bit of the beer biscuit and couldn't really figure out what made it so special other than the fact that it was easy to break apart. Regardless, I hope to be back!
