White sausage gravy that came with it was also good. We tried the traditional loaded home fries this time. Yummy but I wish the cheese were melted. It was sprinkled with unmelted shredded cheddar. My aunt and I literally walked in and just left. Unfortunately, we came to have bunch together and the staff looked at us like we did not belong there...we're black of course. After being seated, we still felt like we were not welcomed so we got up and left. We didn't even get a bye from the hostess nor asked why are we leaving. I don't recommend anyone that's black to invest nor eat at this restaurant. Im just trying to save our black people from that experience. read more

Love the menu selection & service was good. We had the western Omelette & blueberry pancakes w/eggs. My omelette was filled with the traditional ham, onions, pepper but had little flavor. I added pepper & hot sauce to it. A bit of salt would be nice for the size of the omelette. My son liked his pancakes. One recommendation is to have people standing @ the hostess stand & other servers ask if counter diners need anything. Our server got busy & no one seemed approachable or willing to make an extra effort to help their team. I hope this improves in the future. read more

I came here for the first time to enjoy Sunday brunch. The place was packed, so I definitely recommend calling ahead to make a reservation. I snagged a seat at the bar, so I did not have to wait long. Services was exceptional. All employees were efficient in their service and very friendly. I ordered the French toast and it was not my favorite. It was not a very large portion and I was was not a fan of the bread they use. They use the thin slices of bread with cinnamon swirled in it. I prefer thick cut bread with no swirls and at least 4 slices. I honestly had more whip cream than bread and that I was disappointed and left hungry. Next time I come back I will order one of their omelets or breakfast sandwiches and order French toast somewhere else. read more

First time we went, I got the Hash Benedict, i think it was called. It was an English muffin open face, with awesome corned beef hash, two soft boiled eggs and hollandaise. It rocked my world. There was good service, nice atmosphere, it was the most I've ever paid for breakfast ($9 and some change) but it was total worth it. Husband got the all American burger, said it was good... but if you're going here, get some breakfast. Went in again and got the southwest home fries plate, which was also amazing, the perfect amount of hot, but not so hot you can't eat as much as you want. Nice amount of potato/pepper/ham/jalapeño ratio, with two over easy eggs on top Hubby got the Eggs Benedict, I grabbed a bite before he inhaled it. Just as good as the Hash, but it feels a little lighter. Like if you have nothing to do but nap, get the Hash Benedict. If you have to maybe go back to work, the eggs could be the better choice. They had egg puns all over the place, which cracked me up ;) and in egg counter on the wall that said around 350,000 eggs. It's already a tradition. read more

This place was pretty neat. It's like a mix between Waffle House and this place from my hometown called Pearly's. It has a laid back atmosphere with friendly staff and excellent prices. The only negative thing I could say is that the first coffee cup they gave me was dirty, but easily exchanged for another. The portion sizes were great! They are a family restaurant so bring the kids. I saw a review regarding the reviewers "race" and I have to say you have better things to do than pull that card. I saw many ethnicities come and go and was not put off at all. All appeared to be happy and enjoying their food. *sigh I won't write ANY review that may not have been perfect after coming just once. If hiccups happen address the issue and move forward. First time is about the food , presentation , service, etc... A+ on service A+ on food (prep., taste, choices) A+ presentation. I ordered the Loaded Home Fry Platter Traditional, the potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, eggs were perfectly runny! Everything mixed together perfectly! We also ordered the Red, White, Blue Waffles, topped with blueberries, strawberries, and banana and whipped cream! I loved it! Waited about 10 minutes for our table (which was not bad with how busy they were) and had access to a help-yourself coffee station while waiting. Great service from our waitress (Trish) who was very attentive and helpful with recommendations on the menu. Ordered the eggs Benedict, French toast, and Philly cheesesteak omelette with a side of sourdough toast. Food was delicious. The french toast in particular, was phenomenal. Would return. I took my 94 year old mother here yesterday for a late breakfast. We were warmly greeted and seated by the owner (I assume) and received top notch service throughout our visit. I had the eggs Benedict over hash and my mother went for the eggs Benedict with grits. I also had the hash browns. The eggs were perfectly cooked - no surprise there - and my hash and the potatoes were delicios. This might just become our new breakfast hangout. read more

Just professional - served for the sake of serving, smiled for the sake of smiling. Really didn't live up to the raving reviews on Yelp. I understand you guys were busy, but that's not a reason to give such lukewarm service. Greeter at the front? Not even a smile nor a friendly hello. Forget about 'How can I help you' or anything like that. Instead, we had to approach her, say good morning, we'd like a table for two. Not even a 'thank you'! What a way to start our morning! Came in on a moderately busy holiday morning just before lunchtime. I wasn't expecting much when I first walked into this place. It looked like a generic, run-of-the-mill franchise so I expected generic, run-of-the mill flavor and service. The first thing that stood out was the service. My server, I believe her name was Judy, was a real gem. She was cheerful, attentive, and even hit us with the occasional joke and quick wit as she waited on us. We kept the order simple with grits, scrambled eggs, pecan waffles, and a biscuit. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The grits were smooth and buttery, bacon crispy (they asked our preference), and the pecan waffle prepared with the pecans IN the waffle batter like a respectable pecan waffle should be, not scattered on top. Another person, Mike the manager, deserves notable mention. I accidentally left my credit card there after breakfast and was looooong gone by the time I realized it. I wasn't able to make it back to the restaurant until about 2 hrs after they closed for the day but Mike waited and after treating himself and his wife to a new wardrobe and some jewelry on my credit card (JUST KIDDING; my card was declined before they got to the jewelry...KIDDING AGAIN!), he greeted me at the door with my card in hand, safe and secure. I don't live on this side of town but the good food and friendly wait staff would be enough to keep me coming back to this 'spot on' spot! read more

This gem is a little far from our usual brunch selections but after a wet, cold, miserable trip to the "Crabapple Fest" we were so lucky to find you, Eggs Up. Large brunch spot with some super staff. Even though they were hopping on a Saturday morning we were seated quickly. Food came fast and it was GOOD! There is a large menu and they accommodate special orders (I like my eggs burnt). Since the food was OK, we might try it again, but we had to wait an hour for the scrambled eggs and grilled cheese, and while waiting, had to go get our own refills. The smell of coffee drifting through the air and the tempting aroma of bacon coming from the kitchen immediately started my mouth watering and my tummy growling. I think it is interesting that the menu prices don't end in the typical .99. The sweet potato pecan pancakes are a star on this menu. I would definitely return to sample more of their offerings.
