Crab cake Benedict

This place is super cute. It's Ljubljana a step up from a diner. The entire staff was very nice and welcoming. My Benedict was pretty good, it came on sourdough bread that was buttery and soft. The crab cake was delicious. They also serve drinks

Shrimp & Grits Bowl (swapped for Turkey sausage) and Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes

Service was excellent! Everyone was so sweet and complimentary, especially in regards to my mother's birthday. Trish was the best server ever! So sweet with great recommendations. The owner, Judy, came and chatted with us after our meal as well. The restaurant T-shirts don't lie - they really are a family. And when you come in, you're treated like family too! I loved how you could mix, match and substitute anything on the menu. You can really create your perfect breakfast at an extremely affordable price! A fun bonus I liked was the 90's rom-com inspired playlist. It went unnoticed by most but added to the familiar and comfortable feel of the restaurant. I got the Hazelnut Harmony coffee was SUPERB. I wasn't impressed with the pralines (they didn't seem roasted) but the coffee was excellent. Perfect amount of sweetness while still tasting like hearty coffee. The food was the BOMB! You can't go wrong with anything on this menu. The Turkey bacon was crispy. The portions were hefty. If you want a lighter option, I would recommend a breakfast sandwich (the Egg Bomb BLT was amazing) or an omelet like the Goodness Gracious. I highly recommend the home fries - which were seasoned to perfection. The menu items we dubbed the winners were the strawberry cheesecake pancakes and the shrimp and grits breakfast bowl. I loved how any pork options could be swapped for Turkey. We were happy with everything from the service to the atmosphere to the food. I highly highly recommend! Thanks for making my mom's 50th birthday spectacular, Eggs Up Grill!

I have been to Eggs Up Grill twice now and every time it gets better. One time we went and didn't have to wait long even though it was busy and this time we went for Friday lunch and we sat immediately! Ordered a French vanilla ice coffee and it was delicious to start. For the entree, I ordered the goodness gracious omelet and well goodness gracious!!! It was so delicious and filling and huge!! Not to mention another reason to love eggs up is that they have nutrition facts online and that's a huge bonus to me. Our waiter was also super cordial and attentive despite it not being busy! Our order came out fast and correct and we could not have been more pleased! Definitely quick and easy for lunch and would consider going again versus just for brunch on a weekend.

My husband and I loveeeed this breakfast spot! We stopped by around 2 pm and we didn't know they closed at 2:30 (we're not morning ppl lol) but we were still welcomed in and happily served. I always feel bad to come in when they're about to close but they were very welcoming and asked us to stay. Trisha was our server and she was super sweet. What we ordered: SOUTHERN STAPLES Two eggs, sausage biscuit and a side of sausage gravy, with side of home fries. STEAK & EGGS Two eggs, 6 oz. sirloin steak, grilled tomato and garlic toast, with side of home fries. I asked for no tomatoes. My husband really enjoyed the Southern Staples, the gravy was very delicious! I ordered the Steak and Eggs and was actually very surprised at how good/tender the steak was. Also cooked to perfection. Sounds bad but most breakfast places always mess up my steaks, but not them! This is a little far from home, but I told my husband whenever we're in Alpharetta I wanna eat here! No pedí tomates.

We stopped by here on our way to the Outlets for a day of shopping. I joined waitlist and arrived in the time stated to grab a table. However one there they could not find my name and had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat. The host explained to me that they had a new system and did not use Yelp's join the waitlist software anymore so that's why I did not show up. After seating, the waitress came over and took our order with water and coffee. We ordered shrimp and grits with egg whites and corned beef hash. The shrimp and grits was very watery and with two shrimp in it, the egg whites were fluffy and delish. The corn beef hash got good reviews along with the potatoes and eggs. If we stop by again, shrimp and grits will not be my choice.

Hard working staff, great food, parents favorite, weekly meetup. Comfortable ambiance. Highly recommend!

Cafe Mocha!

A gem that does not disappoint! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and a good breakfast is a must! The staff is excellent and they love what they do and that positive energy passes through to the dining room and enhances your experience. Although the food truly doesn't need enhancement - delicious breakfast! My husband and I both enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits Omelet, I added a fresh fruit cup side and he added the hash browns. The cafe mocha was like a hot chocolate with a distinct chocolate aroma . The grits were creamy and had a savory tomato basil topping which took it to a new flavor level. The omelets were made with fresh eggs and were FILLED with shrimp, andouille sausage grilled onions and with just the right amount of jalepeños to make it interesting. Not greasy, cooked perfectly! Our waitress, Peggy was a delight! Price and portions were GOOD! They offer outdoor seating and have booths inside as well as tables. Parking is free and easy as it's in a strip mall. It is good to have a breakfast place again!

Unfortunately, our excitement quickly faded before we were even seated. When I walked into the restaurant, I was completely ignored by a young blonde employee named Claudia who was standing behind the counter in the waiting area. She looked directly at me and continued what she was doing without so much as a greeting or an acknowledgment. A simple, "Good morning, someone will be right with you," would have gone a long way. Since no one else was in the lobby and I noticed a clipboard on the counter, I politely asked if there was a waitlist. Claudia responded with an attitude that she "wasn't the hostess." I calmly asked where the hostess was, and she simply replied that she was clearing tables. There was no offer to help, no explanation of the process, and no attempt to assist me. She continued interacting with other staff members while I stood there feeling like an inconvenience. Thankfully, another employee who appeared to be a waiter noticed me. He immediately picked up the same clipboard that had been sitting on the counter, took my name and phone number with a cheerful attitude, and let me know it would be about a 15-minute wait. His professionalism completely contrasted with the poor customer service I had just experienced. Once seated, our waiter was personable, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was also very good. I ordered the Chicken Sausage Scramble with hash browns, and it was delicious. My friend ordered the Catfish and Grits and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. The food and our waiter helped redeem the experience, but first impressions matter. Management should ensure that every employee understands that providing basic courtesy and hospitality is everyone's responsibility, not just the hostess's. Even if greeting guests or managing the waitlist wasn't Claudia's primary role, there was no excuse for being dismissive or rude to someone walking through your front door. Alpharetta has no shortage of excellent brunch spots with both great food and outstanding customer service. Sadly, because of the way I was treated before I was even seated, I won't be returning to The Southern Porch. I also won't feel comfortable recommending it to friends or family. It's disappointing because the kitchen and our waiter did their jobs well, but one employee's attitude overshadowed what could have been an otherwise enjoyable brunch.

We had no trouble finding street parking, and with the humidity picking up, we were happy to grab a table inside. When we asked for recommendations, the pancakes were the clear favorite. They do take about 20 minutes to prepare, but they're absolutely worth the wait. The waitress also suggested ordering just one pancake for our son since there isn't a kids' menu, and we should have listened! These pancakes are incredibly thick and filling. We also ordered the chicken and waffles, along with eggs, a biscuit, and potatoes. Everything was delicious and really hit the spot. The portions were generous, the food was fresh, and the service made the experience even better. As a bonus, we enjoyed the open green space nearby with a fountain and surrounding shops, making it a great area to walk around before or after your meal. While it was not a busy time and empty tables were plentiful the Hostess stand seemed dazed and confused. Some attention to efficiency needs to happen here. The food itself was actually pretty tasty. The Isla Verde was delicious. A house infused basil and white rum with coconut cream, basil syrup and a balsamic glaze. I went with the Chia Pudding Bowl. The coconut chia pudding was very good and the house granola was excellent. I was impressed with the freshness, amount and many different fruits that come with this bowl. I would definitely order it again. But the slow and lacking service, continuously having to ask for drinks and various sides multiple times left a sour taste. It was like they didn't care. Again they were not busy so I'm not sure what the problem was. Hopefully it was a one time occurrence and this is not the norm.

I found it a little one-note and somewhat mundane--nothing particularly memorable, although it's still a solid, perfectly drinkable cup. The ice helped balance the flavor a bit, but overall, this would be more of a "good enough" order for me rather than something I'd go out of my way to get. The Caramel Macchiato was very sweet, even for someone with a serious sweet tooth like me. The caramel flavor really takes center stage, to the point where it almost overpowers the coffee. If you love sweet, caramel-forward drinks, though, this could absolutely be your thing. The ambience is definitely one of the highlights. It's cute, cozy, and very photo-friendly, although the space itself is pretty small, so I wouldn't necessarily come here expecting to settle in with a large group. What really stood out to me was the service. The barista who helped me choose my drinks was incredibly kind and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to answer questions and make recommendations, which made the experience feel much more welcoming. If you're unsure what to order, definitely don't hesitate to ask! Overall, I'd come back to explore more of the menu--the drinks I tried weren't particularly memorable for me, but the atmosphere and friendly service definitely left a good impression.
