The service is slow. There isn't any organization within the wait staff. The coffee is weak. The meal was ok. It's eggs so you can't mess them up too bad. I had the chilaquiles with chicken and they forgot to put the eggs on top. The rojo salsa was not spicy which I thought it would be. My friend had eggs with crispy had mixed in. He said it was good.

Egg's City is a great breakfast spot with fresh food, quick service, and kind wait staff. The building is much larger than you'd be able to tell from the street and there is plenty of seating. We had our pick of seating and were offered drinks and brought chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious - plus the portions were great and the cost was very reasonable. Vegetarians will also be pleased to know that the beans are only cooked in butter and water (not lard!) so that ends up making most dishes vegetarian, if not vegan, friendly. We got eggs with veggies and the egg torta and both were absolutely fantastic.

Delicious! I had the #3 breakfast burrito and it was amazing! Scrambled eggs, cheese, beans, potato, salsa and some homemade sour cream! Highly highly recommend!

Been passing by this place and decided to give them a try. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. I wanted something for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burritos. The menu says GRILLED BURRITOS STUFFED WITH BEANS, CHEESE, SALSA EGGS OF YOUR CHOICE AND SOUR CREAM. Sounded good, except there were no beans or salsa. It was loaded with potatoes and onions. Also their beverage selection on the menu is limited. I opted for bottled water out of their soda case. If they didn't have beans or salsa due to supply chain issues, they should've had a sign or at least told me. If it's because of cost, potatoes are cheap. Because the burritos were not what I ordered, I deducted 2 stars. There are plenty of other choices in the area, so I will not be back. Try at your own risk. Thank god I didn't have an allergy to potatoes or onions.

In the heart of sweet urban Boonton, is tasty Mexican fare of wide variety good menu, with good prices. We thought we were headed to a diner when pulling off Rt 287, but surprisingly it is a Mexican breakfast and brunch place. The chips are great. Thicker cut but fresh! Big servings of stuffed burritos and so much more. Ordered Guacamole which was not, but was good salsa verde. Chorizo yummy a burrito so big that I didn't finish the dish. Service is perfect and friendly. The place is impeccably clean.

Excellent food for a great price. Delicious breakfast sandwiches!!

Overall the food was very good and the portions generous. Beverages were fine. The service was a bit spotty, possibly because we had two waiters who seemed to be tripping over each other. It shouldn't take three requests to get a glass of water. But overall, a place I'd try again.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. I asked if I could do 2% milk with my latte at 8am with only 1 other table in the restaurant. Waitress told me it's whole or skim. I asked if she could mix them, half and half. She said it takes too long for the bartenders... I said "there's 2 people here, mind if you make an exception?" To which she followed up with "no, it's a rule." Okay fine... I'll settle for my $7 latte I guess. Following that, I ordered the mushroom thyme omelette, the second bite I took had a full on hard stick from the thyme I almost choked on (not chewy, hard - see pictures). I decided to let it slide, these things happen with fresh herbs. 2 more bites in, another massive stem stick jabbed me. If I had given my daughter either of those bites, it could have been scary. I sent it back. I love their coffee, and the shukshukka (botching the spelling). But for how much you pay, their service is inconsistent and these errors are painful (literally). It wasn't until hours later when, stomach growling, I traipsed over to the fridge excited for the remnants of my enchiladas de mole, that I realized to my dismay that my comida had desaparecida. I've made up for this absent-minded first experience since, and La Bamba Grill 2 now ranks among my top 3 favorite casual Mexican restaurants in this region. My dining companions and I have variously enjoyed tacos, tostadas, pozole, churrasco, and other dishes. The chicken quesadilla, something I normally only order for the kid and am disappointed by 9 times out of 10 in most restaurants, gets my adult endorsement and also passes the ultimate test: toddler approval. As you can see from my photos, it's stuffed with cheese and chicken (we opted for grilled chicken but you can get the marinated shredded version which is a little spicy). I've trauma-bonded with the aforementioned mole enchiladas, which again, is full of chicken, in a very good and well-flavored mole sauce that's better then most other moles I've had in the area. The platters are huge, with generous amounts of everything. The interior is colorfully and cheerfully decorated with Mexican-themed artwork and adornments, with cozy booths as well as a diner counter.
