Standard Egg Harbor suburban location. This restaurant serves the same delicious favorites your expect when you dine at any of the restaurants in this chain. Though it is a little more difficult to find than some of the other locations which are more visible off the main road, this parking lot setup is a bit more spacious than what I've seen at other locations. Service is fairly fast and friendly, and the dining room doesn't feel too cramped even when it's busy. In terms of food, the quality of cooking is similar to other Egg Harbor restaurants that I've reviewed. The cooking for me is a bit on the healthier side and I enjoy the flavor combinations that I get here. While there are some more adventurous savory and sweet options available, the standards are always done well here as well. Portion sizes are fairly good and presentation is pretty good as well. Maybe the only thing I'd like to see is a bit better execution on textures here. That is, crispy items should be more crispy -- fluffy items should be more fluffy. But this is probably a result of this restaurant usually being quite busy and therefore I might not be getting the food super fast when it's done cooking from the kitchen. Overall, if you're a fan of Egg Harbor restaurants, this location will serve up your usual favorites. I've never had a bad meal at Egg Harbor. I ordered the Door County Melt that is a fancy chicken salad kind of sandwich. It's my favorite. It comes with potatoes and a sm salad. Others in my party ordered the San Antonio Skillet and the Traditional breakfast with Maple Bourbon bacon. The food is always tasty, fresh and plentiful in size. The atmosphere is cozy and farm themed. It's a casual restaurant for people of all ages. The service was ok. I've had better service in the past. It could have been an "off" day for our server? BEST SERVER EVER (not just at this restaurant but anywhere) AWARD GOES TO FILIP!! I've never had a server like him! It's especially rare these days that people take pride in what they do and are as kind as he is. Just a few examples... Although I've been here many times, I've never known they had shredded potatoes and maybe I would like them better in my skillet. So I tried something different (unlike me) and I liked them a lot more. He came to check on us at just the right times to see if we needed anything. He also told me how to make my coffee more sweet if needed (regarding pumps of syrup) and told me if I didn't like it he could get me something else. The 3 of us all had separate checks and all 3 of us gave him great tips to thank him for his exceptional service! Filip deserves a promotion! Sometimes I love it here and sometimes it's extremely mid. Sundays are hard because it's so busy and those are the days you want to skip going here. I got the garden scrambler and it was decent, but kind of flat. Drinks took forever and so did getting toast. This particular location has been a common hang out place for my family and friends. The foods have always been good, and the staffs are always friendly and attentive even when they are busy. However, we were quite disappointed today with the food and the service. The restaurant was not overly busy when we were there. Food: Cream of Chicken Wild Rice Soup - it has always been our favorite, especially on a cold Fall day. We were so disappointed when the soups arrived - both cups were luke warm at best! We asked to warm it up, but it didn't come back until we were almost done with the main entrees. The temperature of the soup was warmer, but it was very salty. Other food that we order was ok. It seemed that they have been sitting for a while before serving to us. Service: I was quite surprised by the service today. Aside from the first interaction with the wait staff on taking order and getting the check , we have to call our wait staff about the soups (luke warm) and then follow up to ask if the soups were ready (if not, we were going to cancel then). There was never a check-in in between. So I wasn't sure if it was because we asked to warm up the soup, or something we did. The interior of the restaurant was nice and the espresso drinks were nice. We ordered the kickin bacon and requested crispy bacon. My husband was able to eat one slice only. I wouldn't touch it. Wow - the looseleaf tea here alone is worth having breakfast. The menu is vast, the food prepared quickly and deliciously. Coffee is some of the best restaurant coffee I've ever enjoyed. They have many innovative coffee drinks and menu offerings, as well as a few innovative morning cocktails. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Was very pleased with my first experience at Egg Harbor. I've heard good things, but have never had the opportunity to go until today. I ventured in with my two babies (a 1 1/2 year old and a 3 month old). I was immediately greeted by what I assume was the manager. Very polite and friendly. They were very yummy and came with pink lingonberry butter! This was great. We also got some fresh berries that were yummy. This place gets really crowded on the weekends with a long wait. We used to go to Egg Harbor a lot. When they moved from the quaint house to Main Street we noticed a big difference in food quality. We ordered Benedict which barely had any hollandaise sauce and needed to ask for more. The taste of my husband's breakfast was acceptable except the potatoes were hard and overcooked. I ordered Popeyes crepes which weren't on the menu but they made it. They tasted as good as I remembered. Keep in mind that crepes are supposed to be thin; these were almost a pancake quality. The potatoes again were hard and overcooked. We left them behind when taking leftovers home. Service was slow; not indicative of a usual Egg Harbor visit.
