My daughter brought my car to Big-O-Tires with a nail in it. They told us that it wasn't repairable. It needed 4 new tires. told us that the tires were at 3/32", completely worn out. Luckily I called to get a second opinion. First, they quoted me the same tires for $300 less. They re-measured the tires at 6/32", and told me that the tire was 100% repairable. They saved me $1400, fixed the flat for free, rotated the tires for free. I will use them for life and will go there to buy my tires in all my vehicles.

They charged me $80 to mount two new 8" mower tires on new 8" rims. It was originally $40 for both, the first guy quoted me thar. Then they talked to each other (in Spanish) and said it would be $40 for each tire mounted. They told me come back in an hour. So I left and came back. They got them mounted. What disappointed me most was that I originally thought I would be able to keep my old tire and take it home, because I believed I could patch it myself and keep it as a spare. In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that.
