I had solar panels installed on my roof approximately 8 years ago. They lied about the install timing but the system eventually worked. Kind of.... Recently I noticed 2-3 panels were not working and I called EHS to get the system inspected and working. I called 5-6 times and talked to a receptionist and explained what I needed. She said she would forward my request to the appropriate group (I think it was production). I never received a return call. I finally contacted a different company to do the repairs that should have been covered under warranty. Based on my experience I checked BBB and saw EHS has lost their accreditation. I paid this firm $200 to have someone come out and do a wattage check on 2 solar panels that seem to not be working. Their person never came. This was after being told for 2 months that my panels were on their way. I call almost every day and no one ever picks up the phone. read more

Ridiculously bad service. EHS installed my a/c in May 2024, Goodman, by Daikin. the system froze up and started leaking in October 2025, 17 months into what was supposed to be a ten-year warranty. BUT EHS NEVER TOLD DAIKIN THEY HAD INSTALLED THE SYSTEM. Daikin says they can't honor a warranty that was never registered. Almost a month since I reviewed this with EHS, they have done NOTHING to straighten out this mess. I've spoken half a dozen times with very polite staff who assure me they are doing something. I have 28 panels on my roof which are under warrantee and 13 of them are not working properly. I was told when i purchased this system that EHS would monitor the system and help me maintain this system, BIG JOKE they couldn't even install it properly, my neighbor got an education in colorful language from the installers because they had no idea what they were doing. We worked as a roofing contractor for this solar company. We had to go replace half of a roof they caused leaks on. Five rooms on this house had leaks due to solar rack mounts being installed upside down... We have still not been paid by this company after almost a year, a lawsuit and a judgement. We are now having to execute the judgement because they still refuse to even communicate. Beware this company. They may end up with liens and lawsuits that affect your property. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! I installed a system with them 5 years ago. Learned later from the salesman that left EHS, that the system was very overpriced. Oh well, my bad for not shopping around. Now... hurricane damage to roof so panels have to come off and be replaced after new roof is installed. $10,000 in full, up front before they will even schedule the job. Most installers have a "we will remove and reinstall once for free" in their contracts. Not EHS. So, of course they screw it up. 3 panels don't work ( based on their own app). Also many visible broken roof tiles. They send someone out to fix the tiles. After a big runaround with customer service (CS) they order needed parts, and come to fix the 3 panels. They still don't work. I keep calling CS and they say they need to get operations to order new parts and schedule a tech. This goes on for months with me calling about ever other day, but most of my calls go to voicemail, and no one ever calls back. Then the roof leaks thru one of their connection boxes. They say they need "at least 10 pictures and a roofers leak report" whatever that is. I sent them pictures, videos of the water leak and an email from my roofer. That was 4 months ago and they haven't addressed the leak issue (my roofer fixed it... no charge). They replaced their whole CS staff but the new staff are as bad as the old. "Oh, we'll have to schedule that thru OPS" is the same BS that the previous CS staff would use. "That will take a week to schedule". I've been waiting months. BTW... when my roofers were o the roof fixing EHS's leaking box, they discovered 40-50 broken or poorly repaired riles that the EHS reinstall crew did to my new roof. After 7 months, I wrote a 4 page letter to the owner addressing all my issues, after watching him on his webpage talking about how the most important thing was customer service and a satisfied customer was their goal. Complete BS. Run as fast as you can from these incompetent liars. Worst company ever! read more

Do not, I repeat do not engage this company for any of your solar needs. You will be jerked around, promises will be made, nobody will get on the phone and answer your questions, and rest assured your project will take way way longer than promised. This company contract out all their work and when vendors fall short they ask you to figure it out yourself with the vendors. EHS installed a system for me in 2017. For a couple of years things were fine. I have had several issues which the company took care of but it took time and many followups. The staff there was really on a revolving door kind of thing. Never the same people. A little over a year ago I had to have a roof replaced. EHS sent a couple of nice young guys out and they removed and stacked the panels neatly. But AFTER, I don't know if the next team was employees or subcontractors but they did a terrible job of reinstalling the panels and reconnecting the system. Wires were hanging down and the panelscwere misaligned and all of this is done on a new roof. I contacted EHS and they did send a new crew out but they didn't do much. They can' just rip off the panels and start over again. And now, my system has issues and not performing up to its expectation. I have contacted them and tried to get them out but again scheduling service is a very difficult thing to do. I would not recommend this company for solar. Knowing what I know now, I would say buyer beware. 2nd Review: Efficient Home Services contacted me about my first review and wanted to make it right. I'm not going to mention any names here but these are people running the company. So I was contacted about trying to get me to change my review. I stated at the time that I would if they would make things right. So the agent came out and diagnosed the problem and said I had a bad panel and was going to schedule a team to come out and replace it. Which they did. The repair team was at my house for about an half an hour and then left. I was told they would clean up any loose cables and to clean my panels. This they did not do. I spoke to COO and he said they didn't do those things because they just don't do that stuff. Let's go back in time. 2 years ago I had to have a new roof put on because a large tree fell on my house. Efficient said they would remove the panels and put them back on but I had to pay upfront of about $9000 dollars. I paid them because quiet honestly in the solar business it is a monopoly. The company that does the install is the same company that does the repairs. Who knew? They came and took my panels off and once the new roof was put back on Efficient came back and reinstalled the panels. A note here is I thought in my contract I had one time removal and reinstall for a roof. Efficient don't keep very good records of your contract so don't rely on a contract with them. The reinstall was such a thrown together job: wires loose and hanging out and panels not Secure. The job was done so poorly that another solar company installers pointed out how terrible a job it was. I have pictures of the wires hanging out from underneath and panels not fully attached. On to the panel replacement. About 3 weeks ago, the repair team came out and replaced the panel that was not working. All was good to my knowledge at the time. My system was performing well and no new alerts about panel deviations. Then Hurricane Milton came through. The new replacement panel came loose and was flying around my roof, banging against stuff. My wife and I thought we were loosing our roof but we weren't. It was this panel flying around banging against things. It settle on a brand new AC unit that I had just replaced and created a hole in the edge of my roof. My newly replaced roof. Now when I contacted the COO he acknowledges no responsibilities. Says to contact my insurance company which I did. The photos that I share here are just a few providing evidence of the shoddy workmanship this company provides. We have been customers of EHS since fall of 2022. After Ian, my major concern was whether our solar panels will stay put in high winds and continue to work during an outage once the sun is back out. I was reassured by EHS engineering team (in writing) that they adhere to code, which requires the panels and installation to withstand winds of over 150mph. After extensive research, we chose EHS for their product, their customer service, professionalism and their responsiveness and true care about their customers. We also went on to recommend the system and EHS to our neighbors who were waiting to see how our install and system will work. Our happiness started screeching to a halt over the summer of 2024, when EHS would not return our calls and would miss appointments that we schedule to resolve an issue we were having. That nightmare lasted over a month. We were hoping that would be the worst of it. Unfortunately, that was not. During Tropical Storm Helene, with the first wind gust of about 56 miles per hour according to meteorological data at that time, one of our solar panels flew off, travelled across our 3-year-old tiled roof, and landed on the opposite end of the roof, completely damaged. Another panel shifted and became very loose. We reached out to EHS immediately once the storm passed to let them know what happened and, considering a threat of another storm coming, to ask them to come take the damaged panel hanging off the roof down and secure the other panel that became loose. The response was that EHS staff was dealing with their own devastation and they will try to get to us whenever they can. We understood the situation, took down the panel that damaged the roof and was threatening to fall and do further damage to avoid any more serious issues. We continued to contact EHS to secure loose panel before the next storm was threatening to hit. EHS did not respond. During Hurricane Milton our city was on the south side of the storm with wind gusts of around 100-105 miles per hour. The panel that was loose flew off the roof and shattered onto the grass, another panel that was previously secure flew off and is now hanging off the roof and another couple of panels are shifted in their places. (Side note: houses on our street, positioned same as us, at the same wind angle and going through same weather event as us, did not lose any of their solar panels installed by another company). We reached out to EHS again to inspect and fix the damage. The response we received is that they are not responsible for acts of God and that we need to prepay to have someone come in to see what is going on and then prepay for fixing the panels and pay for new panels as well. This will cost us thousands of dollars. I am currently waiting for COO of the company to reach out to me and explain why they do not stand behind the work they do. I will update this review once I speak to the COO. RUN FAR FAR AWAY! This company is awful. Complete scam artists. They have taken advantage of my elderly parents and left them with SO MANY messes. They were hired to put on a new roof and solar system. They ruined all of the grass in my parents' lawn because they left the solar panels to lay there for weeks. STILL have not fixed their work. They have failed inspection for the permit because they roof was so faulty. They had NO leaks in their roof before "upgrading" to this brand "NEW" roof--- NOW THEY HAVE SIX LEAKS!! SIX! They do not help to repair the items they have broken and water damage from leaks, ect. They promise someone will show up for repairs then say management denied them after they tell you they will be taken care of. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE, STRESS, ANXIETY, and DAMAGE to your home and lawn and stay far away from these awful people. We had solar installed and running a little over 1 year ago and you do not get out of paying for electric bills. We were promised if the first year you had bills they would pay you back but that didn't happen either. I took 12 months of electric bills to EHS and they informed me that the system was working like it was suppose to but it doesn't. We have electric bills as high as $75 not nothing like they promised. When the bills kept coming I also ask them to check the panels and they were not all working properly. We were told they check continuously but they don't . We are retired and thought it would help to save money since we are on a limited budget. EHS are no better than crooks providing off of people. read more

I am very upset with the company i inhereted them from the previous owner my solar system was installed by the last owner.. My system has been down since July had no idea till the August bill arrived. Called the company, they had solar edge the maker of the panels look into it. Only then could they tell the inverter was shot, Solar Edge sent a replacement to their warehouse in about 10 days the company did not call to inform me or set up an appt. I again called them they said I could follow up with Solar Edge which I did and I had to let Efficient Home Service know that the part was delivered to their warehouse and they needed to check it out. They gave me an appointment date. I called the day before to find out when would arrive just to find out they cancelled my appt. due to hurricane on west coast. I said no one called me. They made a new appt. for today and no one showed up, I called them 5 times as to where the tech was, they said he was on another job. I was supposed to be first due to my husband being in hospital with lung surgery. So my husband was left alone all day and I have still a broken system. I told STEVE i needed them here today and he said they work till 5 and no later I asked that he couldn't get in touch with them he said he could not. and would make me another appt. at another time. Terrible customer service, promised work to be completed in 60 days, 115 days later started first project, re-roofing, installed in June, now it's almost December and have not passed County inspection due to incompetence in completing the inspection paperwork. Windows installed in July, none are the ones we ordered, some open on their own others take two hands to open. Complained and response was "sorry you feel that way" "promises are made by employee that no longer works there and was not authorized to make promises". Do not hire this company! I can't speak of the actual solar service, but as a neighbor of someone who had an installation, I most certainly wouldn't hire this company. The employees are not trained on how to work at customers residences. They continually set up shop on my lawn, and when i asked them to move, they became threatening to the point I had to call my community police. My bushes are also full of various equipment and fasteners which they kept dropping off roof, but failed to clean up. the grass on the side of the house where they were working is now dead. They also seem to not be able to get the install correct. They have failed multiple inspections and constantly send guys out who just sit in my neighbors driveway all day long. One sat there and did repairs to his vehicle until darkness set in. I have one out right now and he is doing exercises in my neighbors driveway, not one bit of work. The installation was also extremely sloppy. panels overlap the gutters, sending water straight over them and into my A/C unit. Service lines were installed on the zero lot line side of the home, presenting my home with an ugly eye-sore. mistakes keep being made not allowing them to activate the system. despite the system not being activated, the panels already have golf ball damage, after them promising my neighbor the panels will holdup against golf balls. Do not use EHS for anything! I purchased a solar system from them in May 2018 based on supposed saving on my electric bill. It took EHS several months to install the solar system and get it working, however, they never coordinated with Duke Energy. The result was several more months of high electric bills and a no-functioning solar system. Once Duke and my local building department signed off on the installation I was able to sell power back to Duke. I paid about $22K for this systems. It will take about 50 years to recover my costs if this solar system works that long. Ive had to have EHS come out and trouble shoot and repair this system several times. Each time they have a different story regarding what's wrong and it's usually take EHS weeks take care of the issue. As of June 2023 the solar system is no longer working and EHS wants $250 up front just to come out to diagnose the problem with no guarantee that it will be repaired. I guess lifetime service doesn't mean what I thought it did. They also put a new roof on my house. That was another six month fiasco that left me with a hole in my ceiling in the Florida room. They attempted to repair it but failed terribly. I currently have a hole in the ceiling with a board over it. I wouldn't let these people construct or repair anything. I have been lied to by every person I've talked to at EHS. My local building department was lied to also regarding the companies licenses, etc.. I have had the solar system installed in July of 2018. The installation was a nightmare and lack of responses without lawsuit threats! Then in 2020 my system was down for three months before I found it was not working! Well the system went down again and as I failed to watch it went don again on December 10 and it is still has not been corrected February20! Id give a zero if I could. Since install my bills have been combined 300/mo including loan after promising monthly energy savings. I accepted this solar project primarily to install a new AC unit on the property. Efficient Home Services will actually install a 14 seer grandaire unit after promising an energy efficient (its in the company name) 18seer Rheem unit. Salesman pitched "top of the line" unit to save electricity usage. On day of install, technician was subcontracted and sat at job site 6 hrs waiting for approval to start project. stated they were unable to get the Rheem that day but able to provide a comparable item that will function the same. In return, customer would receive extended warranty on unit. Blame attempted to be set on customer for excess energy usage since bills were higher than expected. Variable speed pool pump was charged for in effort to alleviate high energy bills, this was never installed and charged for on 7/26/21. Electrician paid for by customer sourced the excess energy consumption at the a/c was due to a/c unit not sized correctly and noted the lowest seer rating available on the market (not very efficient). Damage upon install of ac unit to property was promised to be fixed and never was. Customer left with hole in ceiling and damage to property. When A/C died last summer customer called to utilized promised extended warranty and was told EHS's hands were tied due to the project being subcontracted. Left bad review, got a response that sounded promising to be fixed and nothing came about. Multiple attempts to alleviate higher bills via email and given the runaround along with blatant lies on services provided (lies are even documented in email). Customer requested refund for services not provided and never received response. One manager claimed to be the owner of the company ready to fix anything, and continued to lie on the phone and emails. Some solar panels were not "turned on for months" according to the technician who came out to fix them.When the A/C was turned off at the breaker for a month, solar panels finally function as expected. Efficient Home Services (EHS) refuses to honor their contract and we strongly DO NOT recommend anyone ever use EHS! On October 15, 2019 we contracted with Efficient Home Services of Tampa to install a complete solar system on our home for $34,236.00. Jordan Tur was our EHS representative. Our goal was to purchase a system that would cover our entire FPL monthly bill, with exception of the monthly FPL service fee of $9.08. A Production Guarantee was included in the contract. Our system was turned on in January 2020. Our January 2020 to February 2020 usage started the $9.08 monthly billing from FPL. For some reason our March 2020 to April 2020 billing came in at $23.02. From April to July 2020 our bills came in at the $9.08. After July our bills have all been above the $9.08 starting with the August 2020 bill at $17.02; September the billing was $64.59; the October billing was $29.37 and the November billing was $54.74. The system we bought was contracted to push kilowatts back into the FPL grid on the high production months to cover for any short fall months. Jordan indicated there should be about 3 short fall months however we would still end up with a small credit at the end of the year. We contacted EHS in October thinking something was wrong with the system. EHS customer service was extremely frustrating. We made several calls to Lee who did not return calls and did not know anything about solar usage. We were finally transferred over to Natasha once we copied Mr. Henry, EHS's CEO, on an email wanting answers. We have been going back and forth with Natasha for 4 months without a resolution. We have sent copies of FPL bills from 2019 and 2020 - she claims that we used more power in 2020 than the prior year (2019). Using the FPL and Solar Edge Monitoring sites, we determined we are actually using very close to the same kilowatts per month as in 2019. Natasha initially told us we would need to add 8 panels at about $1,000 each. Needless to say, we were practically speechless. Then her story changed - we would only need to add 3 panels. We contacted the FPL representative that handles the Net Metering. Using his FPL solar calculator, he informed us that our kWh have not increased year over year and the system was under-designed requiring 6 more panels to keep up. We relayed this to Natasha in our last conversation on 1/27/21, she continues to state that we are using more kWh in 2020 than we used in 2019. Bottom line - EHS refuses to honor their contract and we strongly DO NOT recommend anyone ever use EHS. Additionally prior to running into our energy use issues, we unfortunately recommended a good friend to use EHS. EHS has an incentive program that will pay $500 to a client for recommending them as long as the person contracts with EHS. Our friend contracted with EHS. However, we have never seen a dime or even a thank you even though the new customer has communicated our referral to EHS and we have informed them of the referral as well. I did my homework prior to doing an inquiry about solar for our home and let me just say, that out of the companies that I spoke too, EHS were the only ones that could answer all my questions over the phone before doing the onsite consult and this was a plus. When we scheduled the onsite consult, the sales rep was also fully knowledgeable about the products and process and even explained the process in detail which made our decision a lot easier. On installation day, we had a small hick-up and the installation guys were able to fix it on the fly and worked hard for 3 days (in hot, humid, rainy weather) to get the installation done. Best installation people we have ever worked with and would recommend them to everyone. The electrician we had on site from EHS, was also able to answer our questions regarding our connection and things we were considering down the road. Even the office people we spoke to on the phone kept us in loop of the next phase prior to it happening.
