The food is consistently good and this new instalment is no different. There is a very good Turkish place across the street that opened a few months before Efes and won lots of hearts and stomachs so having Efes gives customers choice based on their preference. The food between the two places are so comparable. The menus are almost identical. I have had dine in and take out at both Efes and Meydan (across the street) and choosing one over the other is a matter of preference. Quite frankly, splitting hairs. I ordered the same dish from both just and ordered the same dish for dine in and take out to have a true apples to apples. In my view, Efes slightly over salts their meats. So if you like salty, Efes may be better for you. I also find the service a bit more sterile. It is a part of a chain so you would expect that. Meydan feels a bit more like a family business. Also, the dining area at Efes is in the back with no windows and feels a bit more cramped. Like you are in the back of the restaurant. Take out is similar in terms of speed and freshness. For those reasons i am taking one star off of the experience. read more
