I placed an order with another online company who had the bath tub I wanted at the lowest price. They informed me that the product would arrive within 21 days. I then found efaucets, who "had the item in stock" and it would be delivered within "5 - 7 business days" after processing, which could take up to 48 hours.
As I was in the process of redoing my bathroom, I wanted the tub as quickly as possible, and cancelled the cheaper order to pay more for this order just because it would be there sooner.
When I asked about price matching, I was told efaucets would not match on products that caused them to go into the negative on a product, so they would not match the price.
I received a confirmation of the order, and was also told that I would receive tracking information within 48 hours. Again, the whole reason I ordered from efaucets and paid more is because of their shipping time. Well, 48 hours went by, 72 hours, 96 hours, no tracking number. So I e-mailed efaucets. There was an apology for the delay, and I was told the product would ship that day, I would receive tracking information within 24 hours. 24 hours later, no tracking information.
I called this time, and was told that after contacting the company, efaucets knows the product hadn't shipped yet, and wouldn't for another 24-48 hours, at which point I would get tracking information. So, now I'm supposed to believe the product will actually ship.
I called the previous company that I placed the order with, who contacted the distributor directly and told me they could have it out within the same time. So, I reordered with them at the lower price (since efaucets again refused to match the price).
I then tried to cancel my order with efaucets, and was told that they could only submit a request via e-mail, which could take 24-48 hours to process, so IF the company sees the e-mail and stops the shipment before it goes out, great! if not, too bad for you, you can pay to send it back. A TUB! FREIGHT SHIPPING OVER $100!
So I called the company directly, and was told that they could look up the order and make sure it was cancelled if I could provide the companies PO number. I called efaucets and was told it was a private number, so I asked them to call and ask the company to pull the order, since they had already called earlier to see if it was in stock (despite their website saying "53 in stock" and when it would be sent). The initial representative who answered refused, her supervisor refused, telling me they couldn't call the company and could only communicate through e-mail. When I reminded her they already called over earlier, she said "ok, I'll call" and put me on hold. She then came back on the line telling me she called and they were cancelling it. When I asked who she spoke to at the company, she wouldn't give me a name, only that it was their sales rep for efaucets.
I called the company directly, and spoke to someone very helpful who verified that 1) there was no sales rep for efaucets company, 2) no one had called to pull the order, 3)they hadn't even received the order information yet, despite the order being placed 6 days prior, and 4) he gave me his name and extension and told me someone from efaucets COULD in fact call to resolve the issue. This wonderful person assured me they would be able to cancel the order because the order wasn't there yet, and the product had not shipped.
I was jerked around every step of the process with efaucets, and should anything further occur to cause me trouble in this transaction, there will be a lawsuit filed against them for their continuous antics. No one should do business this way.
